Today is my BUSY day!
Two half day classes ---Sister’s Choice in the morning, and Boxy Stars in the afternoon.
Bring it on, I’m ready!
But first I’ll have to get the Sister’s Choice quilt off of my bed because that’s the one I’m sleeping under…
This is the entrance to St Michael’s College where my workshops are.
The college was founded in about 1904 and it is just a beautiful campus – this pic was taken yesterday as I walked through the drizzle to head to the cafeteria for lunch. I’m not complaining about the rain! It was cool and misty and the temperatures were wonderful – we are told to expect heat this weekend, so this was a nice bit of relief.
My class room building is a short walk from my dorm room ---I went about setting it up last evening so it would all be ready for today. One of the lucky things? It’s a one room building – I am the ONLY class in it!
Today this room will be hustling and bustling – but last evening it was quiet as I brought in the borrowed quilt stand, and set up my book table. Lots of windows, lots of open space and great lighting!
Hexie top makes a great table cover!
And we are ready to start the day!
Bring on the Quilters!
Hope you slept well last night under your comfy quilt and with the rain... have fun at your classes today! Wish I was there...
ReplyDeleteI wish I was there too! have a fun day!
ReplyDeleteHOW beautiful your hexie looks! WOW! Betya everyone will want to see all of it, and you will be moving the books etc ALOT! Sounds like a very busy time, and you can do it if anyone can!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the photos from this class. Rain? do I see that beautiful wet stuff on the roadway? SEND it down on TN fast. We are expecting 100 deg. weather today and for the next few days - of course, with no rain. And here we sit surrounded by national parks, forests, timber country etc. GULP!. Please send rain Bonnie, when yu can lol.

Your Hexie is almost done. It's gorgeous!! Makes me want to make one.....Well maybe. Enjoy the VQF!
ReplyDeleteBonnie I bet the new book thing REALLY hit you when you had to make space for not just three BUT FOUR books on you table!! It a real accomplishment to you that you have kept them all in print too.
ReplyDeleteWish I was there! BTW some of your blogher ads are really annoying. They open up and cover your text and sometimes you cant get them to close again. I have to say I have gone on to the next blog with out completely reading yours because of that.
ReplyDeleteColleen, I think blog "owners" often don't have a say about the ads that appear, they are just part of the deal they agree to in order to have the space to publish. There are apps you can install to reduce or eliminate the ads you see at any blog site--that depends on which browser you use. I use Mozilla Firefox (not affiliated, just satisfied customer) with an ad blocker add-on, and I rarely see any ads any more, less than one every month or so.
DeleteI have found if I just make sure my mouse doesn't hover over an ad, it won't pull it up. If it does, I just click on it and close it.
DeleteAhh..the table setup looks fabulous. Can't wait for my book to arrive....but I'm patiently waiting..really! I have enough on my plate for sure to keep me busy...LOL! What are all of the packages with the colored things in them on the left of the table?? Have fun, as always...
ReplyDeleteI'm curious too :-)
DeleteThey set you up with table cloths on the tables for a quilting class? That seems very odd to me.
ReplyDeleteTreadle and I had the same question.... Cant get the pic to blow up enough to ID the Colorful packets on the far end of the table. :) Also cant imagine being brave enough to use the hexie as a table covering in a room full of rotary cutters and scissors! It sure is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHexies look GREAT! That table looks so inviting.
ReplyDeleteHave fun! What a beautiful room to have a class in!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time in Vermont, we are heading over at 5am Saturday (my bf and I have a stop planned at Eaton's Sugar House for Breakfast) and then to the Quilt Show. Did you find your Diet DR PEPPER? Hope you classes are fun, wish I was there.....

Anyone who follows your hexie efforts will be floored by the hexie top! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteTable and room looks so inviting. Lots of room to spread out. I am guessing the colorful things on the table is the scissor holder Bonnie wears on her shirt. And I was wondering about the table cloths also. Have a great weekend, Bonnie.
ReplyDeletecool to see the hexies all spread out, and is that MY copy of "String Fling" on the table??
ReplyDeleteLucky ladies to get their hands on the new book! The Hexies look great on the table. Have fun in Vermont.
ReplyDeleteLove that hexie quilt!... no I will not attempt to make one! LOL
ReplyDeleteI too am curious about those colored packets on the left of the table.
