Carolina Christmas, Part 1!
This is a kin to making school lunches for the next day, before you go to bed the night before! I know we have lots of international quilters playing along, so I'm uploading the directions before I go to bed.
You can get to step one of Carolina Christmas HERE!
I do hope you plan to play along. I am so happy with how this quilt is turning out! I can't wait to get it on my bed....a Christmas Quilt for my own bed! That is IF I get it quilted and bound before Christmas Eve. Can I make it? I hope so!

OMG!! I was about to go to bed but I think I'm going to be up all night now working on step 1!!! I'm too excited to sleep!
ReplyDeleteIs it too late to enter a picture in the Christmas Lights flicker file?
ReplyDeleteHappy Sewing,
Kim
Well, it's 5.30 pm here in Melbourne Australia and I thought "maybe the first part of the mystery will go up early." So a quick look and how lucky am I??
ReplyDeleteOff to cut strips and start sewing.
Thankyou sooooooooo much Bonnie for finding time to put up the mystery.
Can't wait to see where we're going this time.
Wooohooo! I get up whilst you are all sleeping and there it is! Thankyou Bonnie, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving day with your family and friends :O)
ReplyDeletewho-hoo! I knew there was a good reason to get up and fix my daughter breakfast at 3 AM! She works Loss Prevention at a retail store and has to be there by 4 AM for the Black Friday Shoppers! (Watch out shoplifters, they're watching!) I don't shop today, I'd rather be quilting!
ReplyDeleteGreat Bonnie! I'm printing the directions in a moment and going to look for my christmas fabrics.....(they weren't doing anything in particular....) And think I'm going to have lot's of fun!!
ReplyDeleteSince I'm sick at home these days (not so sick anymore...TG) I have time to spend!! YES!
Thank you Bonnie, I see I wasn't the first - slept in this morning for some reason - I'm going to print off the directions as soon as I get back from the Gym - although I'd rather get quilting right now instead. I ordered the ruler so I think I'll just pick out my fabrics and wait to start cutting until I get it which should be next week. Enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend.
ReplyDeletehappy, the part one is done, can't wait for the next step...lol
ReplyDeleteAhhhh!!! I think something is wrong with my printer!! I can get the pictures, but no words!!! And I want to get the how-to's 'cause I don't want to have to travel from room to room to get this step done.... but I will!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie,
ReplyDeleteYeeee Ha! Your mystery quilt is so much fun already. Busy with a tonne of projects, but doing it anyway (Relaxing with it after work stuff). Such a fun way to deal with some fabric and make what I know will be a lovely quilt at the same time. Thanks so much for sharing your mystery/challenge with us,
Stephanie in TAS, Australia.
