What kind of crazy fun is this??
I just love these Canadian gals who road trip all the way down, spending more time shop hopping along their way than the actual drive would have taken, making this a special birthday weekend for one of their group, Susie!
I last met some of these gals when I was teaching in the U.P. and I am happy to be close enough again so that they could cross the border and bring their laughter and crazy personalities with them!
Gosh, what a great weekend we are having in Traverse City, Michigan!
Get a load of this cake!
Blow out the candles, Susie!
Oh my goodness!!
We enjoyed a bit of this delicious cake confection while we worked on our blocks, and had an absolutely grand time.
A perfect pairing! Ha!
Ladies these blocks are so fabulous!

I was reading the words of Shannon L Alder last night and this just stuck with me so strongly.
This is right up there with doing the same thing over and over and over again and expecting a different outcome. You may think that someone else is to blame, but it could be your own reaction to what you conceive to be the problem that is causing the problem.
What can you do to change the situation? Be proactive!

Off for a Smith Mountain Morning workshop today!
Did you remember to set your clocks forward?
Always interesting to see how different colour and fabric choices completely change the look of the same block. Some lovely blocks. Loved the birthday cake and block picture, they complemented each other so well. Never seen such pretty paper plates.
ReplyDeleteI listened to Rob Appell yesterday and he spoke of Retreats being like Reunions for Quilters. Good to see the repeat retreaters come in from Canada. The Birthday treats and Cherry Chocolates look scrumptious!
