Mystery Monday Link-Up, Part 2!

IMG_20181203_073240_643000

It’s MONDAY!!  Let’s Link- Up!

There is so much sharing going on using our hash tags #quiltvillemystery and #goodfortunequilt!  I have loved flipping through and seeing what you are doing.  I’ve found new folks to follow, I love exploring our quilter’s world and seeing what is going on in your lives – not just with the quilts, but with family, kids, pets, house remodelings and life in general.

You keep me grounded!

Julie’s in Aqua!  Ooooh lovely!

robin

Oh yes, I’m checking out THESE blues and neutrals!

becky

Becky is going to need more wonder clips!!

I love seeing these come together!

All of these photos are shares from my Quiltville’s Open Studio group on Facebook. Population? Nearly 77,000 quilters world-wide sharing their projects and making friends.  Come join us!

Now for the nitty gritty of this link-up. There is a lot of info below.  PLEASE DO NOT SKIM READ!

We have many new folks with us this year, so if you’ve never done a link-up before, we will include some info so you can add your photo of your progress to the mix.

You’ll need either a blog, an instagram account, a Pinterest account, a Flickr account or a Google+ account.  All of which are free, and a great way of journaling your progress on any project.  ALL of these must be set to PUBLIC.

Please, no private accounts as no one will be able to see what you are sharing, so what’s the point? Links to private accounts will be deleted.

No matter where you are in your Good Fortune quilt you can share blocks, design wall photos, fabric choices, completed units with your dog, cat or grand-baby – just share!

Be sure when you are filling in your information in the Linky form below that you include a URL to your specific post or photo, not just your main blog or profile address.  We need the address of the page where your photo and post is, not the whole account.

For those who don’t understand HOW to find the URL of any given post PLEASE read this linky tutorial before you link up again.

For an example of a blog post including a link back, click HERE.
For a Pinterest post including a link back, click HERE.
For an Instagram post including a link back, click
HERE.
For a Flickr post including a link back, click HERE.

Click the links above for examples of folks who have done it correctly!

If you hare having trouble, why not contact someone who has “done it correctly” and ask for their help? Leave them a comment on their photo.  We can help each other.

If you have linked to my main blog address
http://quiltville.blogspot.com that also needs to be changed to the URL for today's linky page. Please check your post or photo and make sure you have the right link.

Our posts are reciprocal.  Which means I link to you, you link back to me.

Or Short Link: https://bit.ly/2FXaVZH

If you don’t know how to link it so it is clickable in your blog post, don’t worry about it. Just copy and paste the above URL into your text.

We are also using the hashtags #quiltvillemystery and #goodfortunequilt and a link back to this post for social media.  Please use them so we can find you!

If you post to Pinterest or Instagram, your blog, etc. - you need to add the link to the link-up post in your photo description.

Hash tags are not enough. It doesn’t matter if it is a hyperlink or just plain text, but it must be there.  If you do not link back to my post, your link will be removed from our link-up.
One more time:

Please do NOT post unit sizes or unit counts in your post.  This is a mystery.  The sizes and counts are plainly available in the mystery directions themselves.  Folks can get them by coming to my directions.
Also, your link-up post, be it on Instagram, Pinterest, your blog or wherever MUST include an easy to find, obvious link (highlighted helps!) to the link-up post. The link you are to use is given to you above.

Thank you for working with me to be sure these things happen.  I really appreciate it. And it is so so so simple to just take the time and comply.

The linky pages will be alive FOREVER in the archives, Your link will stay there so people can find you, please link correctly to my post so people can find me and the others who have also shared their links as well.

Don’t be the dead end street for everyone else.  Thank you!

This link up will close Thursday night, December 6th at 11:55pm Eastern. If you miss it, join in next week!

THIS is going on here!

There has been much book signing and tub filling – all headed to the post office TODAY!  More will continue!  With this next batch, I will be filling those orders that came in on Wave 2 – they will start shipping today.

StringFrenzyCover1_thumb

Which means:  I am putting 500 MORE copies of String Frenzy in the Quiltville Store – RIGHT NOW!

Books are being offered at an introductory sale price, are signed by me – and you will also be receiving a FREE PDF pattern for my newly released Hunter’s String Star Pattern, not available anywhere else – an $8.00 value!

I have also added 300 more Simple Folded Corners Mini rulers to the store as well.  Perfect for our Good Fortune Mystery!

And better than that – all proceeds are headed directly to Quiltville Inn where we are making electrical and plumbing upgrades this coming year.  The sooner we get it done, the sooner we can open our retreat house.  Let’s get it done!  (Thank you so very much!)

I woke up at 5 am (9am EST) to register for the Needle Art Festival in May, so after I did that I looked at Quiltville store and there were still 100 books left in wave 3 so Igot that ordered, and went back to sleep!

I am planning to start the new mystery very soon, but I told myself I couldn't do it until I finished On Ringo Lake. So when I got back to work on it I realized I am missing Part 9! Is there any way I can get that?
Thank you for your wonderful Mystery patterns!

Once again, I seemed to have missed out on Wave 2 of String Frenzy! I can wait for it, I guess. Hopefully, tomorrow will be more peaceful and can get to sewing and cutting on the MQ. Saturday was an oil leak from my oil line to my furnace, in my cellar. I met some of the nicest firemen you could hope to meet! Today, my Siamese decided to have his day on the "Cat Walk" and knocked my flour canister on the floor, then, a crock with Truvia packets hit the floor. The flour canister survived, but the crock did not! It has to get better, right? I think he was upset because I wasn't upstairs, sewing, and keeping him company! And, sew it goes!!

Can I get String Frenzy as a digital copy? Very expensive postage to Australia and I can work on it on my tablet.

I cannot believe this happened. I ordered the book. (soI thought) There were 15 left at the time. Just went into my mailbox and there was a message from Quiltville saying I had not completed my order. *!*! sold out again!!!
