Calling all Cozy Mystery readers!
Those who crave a good who-done-it with a quilty theme woven through it!
Those who would dare to dive right in and fritter an afternoon away with interesting characters, a fantastic plot line that leaves you thinking "I never saw THAT coming!"
When Quilt City Murders debuted in February we celebrated with a Gift-Away here on the blog. Remember this post?
On the Kindle version release day I grabbed the new Kindle Paperwhite I received from my dad for my birthday, and went straight to downloading Quilt City Murders so I could pick up where I left off in reading the paperback copy Bruce sent me.
I loved this book, and have been eagerly awaiting the next in the series. If you haven't read Quilt City Murders yet - grab it now!
But I digress -
The Kindle version (and paperback) of the 2nd book are now available HERE.
How's this for a plot:
After performing a daring rescue of a fellow quilter during a robbery at a Walmart in Paducah, Kentucky, also known as Quilt City, journalist and mayoral candidate Hadley Carroll vows to bring the perpetrators to justice after the heist turns tragic.
Then, a seemingly unrelated murder and two ominous messages cause Hadley to ask the staff at Paducah Pulse, her weekly newspaper, to find answers. Amid the turmoil, Hadley and Detective Brandon Green finally enjoy their first date at Barbecue on the River, the city’s largest annual event, only for mayhem to disrupt the festivities.
Now, employing the diligence and perceptiveness that helped her solve the Quilt City Murders, Hadley investigates the killings that follow, connecting the invisible dots. As Paducah panics, the Pulse staff sheds light on a wide-ranging conspiracy. Hadley tangles with her nemesis and mayoral opponent, Nick Stoddard, and endures various threats. But she’s determined to solve the crimes and to nurture her budding relationship with Brandon. At least that’s her plan.

How does the text compare?
With my baby cataracts and minimal central vision loss, reading real books on paper has been a bit difficult. It's been a sad thing because I was a voracious reader before MacTel2 crept up on me in the last 5 years or so.
You'll find my little Kindle Paperwhite in the Personal Favorites category of the Quiltville Amazon Affiliate Store.
(I make a small commission on items purchased through my store as an affiliate. Thank you!)
Christmas is coming. Add a Kindle Paperwhite to your Christmas list. You deserve it.
SO back to Bruce - Did you know his lovely wife Sedonia is also a quilter?
When he approached me to let me know that the new book had been published - he also let me know that he has THREE copies to Gift-Away to lucky winners.
And not only will these winners get a paper back copy from Bruce, but also a selection of hand died fat-quarters from Sedonia!
And they have the colors of our upcoming Chilhowie Mystery!
Would you like to win a copy of Quilt City Murders: Panic in Paducah AND a bundle of Sedonia's gorgeous hand dyes?
We'll draw for our winners on Saturday, 11/12//22.
Winners must have prizes shipped to a USA address. If you are outside of the USA, we can send it to a friend within the USA who can then forward it on to you.
Good luck everyone!
And while you are in a winning mood, Don't forget to sign up for the Nov/Dec '22 Quiltmaker Gift-Away HERE!
That drawing happens on Saturday 11/5/22.
And if you are new here - I the introductory post to this year's Quiltville Winter Mystery just went live yesterday. You'll find all of the info in the Chilhowie Mystery Tab at the top of the blog.
As for other things in my world -
I've been brunching with the October Quiltvillians!
We had a wonderful firepit on Saturday night -
It may be the last of the year - we'll have to see what the weather brings for the November Quiltvillians arriving tomorrow.
I arrived at the front door of the inn yesterday morning, paint chips in hand - and found THIS on the front door. LOL!
These ladies know what I go through each and every mystery - what a great way to kick it all off. I'm still laughing!
Halloween Pic!
And a visit from the October Quiltvillians to see the QPO next door.
It's checkout day - I'll be sad to see them go (but they'll be back!) and with all of the waving goodbye and rounds of hugs it's another laundry day ahead.
Hello, November! Just what do you have in store for us?

Thank you so much for the introduction to Chilhowie. I pulled my fabrics yesterday afternoon.
It will be a beautiful quilt Bonnie.
Also yesterday we all got our booster and flu shots. Glad that's done.

You look cute in your witches hat

Happy Laundry day Bonnie! Love reading your daily blogs, AND making your quilts! Just wanted to let you know the site you linked to regarding MacTel2, seems to be under construction right now. I'm sorry this condition has affected you, and will hope a cure can be found for you!
That is a terrific halloween photo of you Bonnie! These gals are so creative... love the signs!
Ha ha! Love that pose Lola was caught in!
I do Cats!!! Yes, looking for the cooler air. I'm about 120 miles east of you, High Desert above Palm Springs. It was a brutal summer. We are going to get a taste winter this week and then back to Autumn for awhile.
here's an idea. frame the notes on the front door of quiltville inn and then you can hang it somewhere in the house. when every mystery is released, you can add it to the bottom every time. all the questions in one place. how cool is it that the free fat quarters are in the same colors as the mystery. patti in florida
Love the Halloween pic! They are spot on about the questions, though! I can't wait to get some time to play through my stash and see what I have. Looking forward to Thanksgiving break!
The signs made me laugh. I love the hand dyed fabric. Beautiful!
I too am an avid reader - "real", audio, and Kindle - I've got one or all three going at the same time. Cozy Mysteries and historical fiction are my favorites. These pictures today are excellent - hilarious start to the day and your annual mystery. Thinking there may be a bit of laundry on my "to do" list today.
The book looks great! I don't know what happened but I haven't been getting posts from you Bonnie! Just realized it when I started seeing you on facebook. So glad I did! I've reconnected and look forward to getting your posts again... Jan in MA
Front door fun! Great job ladies!
Thanks for hosting so many giveaways! I won once, an online class, but remain hopeful. Looking forward to seeing what the mystery brings, but I'm on a fabric diet and have used up all my purples and oranges in the last year, so I'll sit this one out for now (but of course saving it!) Thanks again for all you do!
