In the event of rain, quilters are adventurously resilient!
Chris's Christmas in July group said goodbye to two of their members yesterday afternoon, and since the rain kept photo shoots from happening in front of the house, or over the side porch rail, they simply set up a timer on the camera and hurried for a "photo booth style" group shot.
I was able to make a visit to the QPO Studio for a farewell party including finished projects from retreat and more.

Beautiful quilt made for a special dad.
Lovely top showing gorgeous tropical fabrics.
This will be a great couch sized quilt - and wonderful for those beautiful large prints that you don't want to cut too small.
And then there was THIS! LOL!
We were presented with two doppelganger cookies from the cookie decorating night - guess which one is ME, with a broken leg and two black eyes? LOLOL!!
And The Hubster - down to his mustache. (Why is he looking away from me? LOL!)
It was great laughter and a wonderful way to celebrate good news from the ENT guy.
Jazz made the journey EASY!
And the bruising is fading. Yay.
From the moment I met the doctor he told me just how lucky we were. If that pole had hit an inch in any direction it could have really done serious damage. But the bridge of the nose is one of the strongest places on the face. It needs to be to protect the orbits. It didn't bash in my forehead, or take out my teeth as I keep thinking about.
From what he sees, the obstruction in breathing clearly on the right side is caused by present swelling and should go down in time. I guess patience and some nasal spray is all that is required at this point.
I was one tired puppy though by the time we got back home.
It was nice to get out for SOMETHING, but also nice to come home, remove the boot and put my foot back up on my pillows at the end of my recliner again.
No hand quilting happened. Too tired.
But today - maybe.
Chris's Christmas in July group is headed out this morning and I am grateful for their offer to get the laundry going until The Hubster can get over there after his morning work conference calls. Friend Martha will also be by to flip loads from washer to dryer and help Housekeeper Susan.
The Quiltville Village is back at it, making sure that things are ready for the July Quiltvillians who are arriving tomorrow afternoon.
Thank you, everyone.
TODAY is the LAST DAY to enter!

Friday begins my weight-bearing stage of the healing process and I can not WAIT to get back to the sewing room where I can stand and press and cut and sit and sew and be back in my happy place.
It's so hard to be patient.

So glad for the good news! Enjoy your progress, but take it in small steps stopping g and resting your l egg every 15 to 20 minutes on Friday and Saturday then up the standing by 5 minutes more. .I learned this from hard experience of a shattered ankle. Tho bones need the action to heal but not so much that they get more damage. Praying for your quick recovery.
Very pretty quilts and you need to keep resting. It's a slow process to heal thoroughly. you have fur babies to keep you company 😉. Your hubby is the best.
Everytime I see one of your new patterns I think 'that's the best one yet!' I can't wait to get started on Kizmet and I am so, so happy to hear of your good news! I'm hoping that your recovery is fast and as painless as can be!
Good news from the ENT. Glad the laundry is getting done. Hurray for good friends and a Hubster who works from home. Happy Tuesday!
Glad you are on the road to recovery and you look much better. Those ladies made some awesome looking quilts. The group IS awesome offering to start the laundry until hubby could manage it. Bless you Bonnie. Patty McDonald
Bonnie - such good news from the ENT! I'm sure you are counting down to Friday to start weight-bearing -- just be sure not to do too much too soon! Oh, those cookies are a hoot! What a great group of quilters to help your support staff get things started for the next group of quilters. One question (maybe I missed this) but did your glasses survive the accident?
So happy you escaped even worse damage, now, remember to keep on going slowly - beginning to feel better when recovering often makes you forget you mustn't rush things. How does that knee walker work? All the best, Elaine UK
Conserve your energy for healing!
