Gathering Happy Thoughts…

Kitting in the wee small hours helps me think and process.

There were many smiles while cutting up these wee scraps.  Spring is getting closer.  I can feel it.  Yes, we had extreme cold (For us in the south, anyway where 20 degrees is considered bitter here!) and we have weeks yet to go until spring is official, but every day is one day closer.

The retreaters started departing two by two just before lunch time.  When I arrived in the morning, luggage and sewing bins were already on the back porch and being loaded into wagons to transport to awaiting cars.

I have genuinely had the best time, and I was sad to see everyone leave so soon!  How fast can these days fly by?

Some stayed for lunch so they’d have full bellies for the 5 hour drive home to Augusta, Georgia.

And before I knew it -

Where once the hum of machines filled the space -

And color and pattern filled the design walls.

All of the busy chatter and laughter was now a memory.

Projects started here, will be completed elsewhere.

But they will remember their beginnings!

And the Show & Share that happened as projects were finished.

And we will forever laugh that once again it was I who pulled off the front door knob!

We are giving this knob one more shot, and it we can’t make it secure – we will be in for a replacement of the whole door with a much safer entry system than a slider dead bolt.

I will miss the joy these ladies brought with them!

The Quilting Quarters await the Sisters of the Stash, arriving from Kentucky and beyond on February 27th!

And once gain this space will be full with happy quilters.

Until next time, Pieceful Hearts girls!

And while I remembered, I cut more tulip block kits -

And I continued to smile!

Happy President’s Day, everyone.  Whether it is an off-work holiday for you – a continuation of your 3-day weekend, or not – however you choose to spend it!  There is no mail service today, but that doesn’t mean that I won’t be at the Quiltville Post Office filling orders so they’ll be ready to hit the USPS tomorrow.

Those new Quilty Password Keepers and Quilty Coupon Keepers are flying out the door, and I am so thrilled.  THANK YOU!  And our Frolic Mystery PDF Pattern booklet along with ALL PREVIOUS PDF MYSTERY PATTERNS are on sale for $6.00 each! You'll find them in the Quiltville Store.

Click to Friday’s post to see what that is all about.

And perhaps there will be some quiet piecing time ahead for me this afternoon/evening?

Quiltville Quote of the Day

Vintage nine patch quilt found in North Carolina.

It's simple. The energy you send out goes on and on touching others. I love what David Dieda said:

"Everything you do right now ripples outward and affects everyone. Your posture can shine your heart or transmit anxiety. Your breath can radiate love or muddy the room in depression. Your glance can awaken joy. Your words can inspire freedom. Your every act can open hearts and minds."

We have a direct effect not only on how our days go, but also on others. Let your ripples be positive ones!

Have a great Monday, everyone!

Just seeing the happy faces reminds me of the strong bonds among quilters! The echos of their laughter and the ohhhs, and ahhh's from admiring friends will fill the halls of Quiltville Inn. You did good Bonnie, really good!

I love the scrappy batik medallion shown in one of the pics on this blog issue. Is there any more info on that piece? Is it a pattern?
