December '18 Quilty Box Gift-Away!

IMG_20181220_081229_419000

The countdown to Christmas is ON!

And SOMEONE is going to win this delicious December Quilty Box featuring Quantum fabrics by Giuseppe Ribaudo, AKA Giucy Giuce!  I am so excited about this fabric – rich tone on tone geometrics which are an absolute favorite for me.

I follow Giucy on Instagram and he is quite the character and always keeps me entertained with his travels, and especially his video stories.  I feel like I am right there in the middle of his life and he is talking to me – I never know what he is going to come up with next!

And when he announced that he was releasing his first fabric line with Andover – WOW!

Getting my hands on some Quantum, Baby!

Quantum features rich tones and saturated colors fit for a rainbow.  Each print was originally hand-drawn by Giuseppe and reproduced to create daring texture and depth.

Oh my goodness, these are beautiful!

The December Quilty Box features 8 fat-quarters so you can dig right in and make Giucy’s FEATHERING quilt found right inside the Bundles of Inspiration magazine.

The beautiful quilt measures 48’’ x 48’’. To make the quilt, there is some more background fabric needed, but I could easily raid my stash for that!

Also found in the December Quilty Box!

4’’ x 4’’ wool pressing mat

Fish scissors!

Aurifil thread in Iceberg and Medium Teal

Colonial Needles  - size 11.

And the Bundles of Inspiration do not stop there!

We will also be drawing for a winner of the Quilty Box Mini!

The Quilty Box Mini includes a full size charm pack from one of the newest fabric collections (Like Quantum above!) – The same line featured in the full size box is also featured in the mini for that month.

In the mini you will also find a spool of thread for use with your charm pack, and the Bundles of Inspiration magazine will feature an easy, quick to stitch pattern perfect for gift-giving, or to simply create just for the fun of it.  This month’s pattern by Jeni Baker is called Leap Throw featuring Quantum by Giucy_Giuce

Take it ONE STEP FARTHER!

Paper Pieces has also jumped on board with a tutorial for a wall quilt with English Paper Piecing using Quantum fabric – tutorial included, perfect for trying your own hand at English Paper Piecing.

I love English Paper Piecing for Sewing on the Go!

Good luck, everyone!

So here it is THURSDAY, December 20th already.  How did that happen?  Our Mystery Monday Link-Up for Part 4 is still alive and well and entries are still coming in!  You can check them out ON THAT POST.  Fabulous shares, everyone! Keep them coming!

And if today is Thursday, you know what tomorrow is?  Friday and the release of Good Fortune, Part 5!

I am down to the last 200 String Frenzy orders in Wave 5 – they will all hit the post office by Saturday.  Things are cranking in the Quiltville Mail Order Fulfillment Center AKA Dining room.

In fact – I hear the call of the postage machine beckoning me to get a move on -

WOW this must be the best Quilty Box this year. Thank you for sharing your gifts with others. You are an amazing lady!! Our church began a Grief Through the Holidays group this year and they ask us to pray by name for those who have lost loved ones this year who are trying to adjust to a new normal. Your name is at the top of my list. 20 years ago we buried my Mom on Dec 18 after a 2 month hospital stay. This time of year there is still a vacancy in my heart.

Bonnie, I just read yourrtt

Bonnie, I just read your Wednesday post. After doing so I went back and reread your post of 9/20/18. Sometimes life gets to be horrendously hard and I loved the plaque with Mark's favorite saying: "God doesn't give us what we can handle. He helps us handle what we have been given." I had not ever heard it stated that way and I also loved it. I will pray that you, Sharolyn, and your whole family feel His strength and support during this time. So sorry this happened when everyone is so raw from Mark's passing. Ivy

Dear Bonnie, I pray for you and your family. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy 2019. I am excited to have a chance to win that awesome box. Thank you for the opportunity. I hope that time with your family will give you rest and that joy will return to you. I know the sadness you feel. I lost my wonderful brother, Cliff, on Christmas Day 10 years ago. The ache is always there, but I know he is in a better place. I am sustained by so many memories of time spent with him, growing up, talking on the phone when we were miles apart, and I smile at so many of those beautiful memories. You are a strong and courageous woman. I admire you so much. Have a wonderful Christmas. I love Yoko Ono's quote.

Heh Bonnie! I've entered for a chance to win. I just wanted to note-would it be possible to find someone/distributor for these quilty boxes in Canada? I would so love to receive these regularly however, it's the same old story, postage, exchange, taxes and broker fees.... The Guicy fabric is right up my alley too! I love geometrics and the colours are so rich and juicy! Thanks for sharing!

Ooh, blues! I love blues! Looks like a very fun set of items for a gift-away. Love the use of "gift" rather than "give". It makes it more special.
