Hi Everyone!
I’m very excited to be participating on the first day of the blog hop promoting Quiltmaker Magazine’s 100 blocks by 100 designers, Volume 8!
This is the 7th consecutive issue I have participated in, and let me tell you, these issues get better and better and better!
There are blocks of every kind to suit every taste, from traditional and modern pieced blocks, to paper pieced blocks – blocks for appliquers and embellishers and embroiderers alike!
I just love looking at the variety of blocks and all the different techniques used to make them and am so inspired by what is pulled together all in one volume for you!
My block started out as a “What can I do with all these left over bonus triangles” experiment!
The first block I did came from the bonus triangles from several Boxy Stars quilts that were donated to charity. I made the block from the bonus triangles in random scraps in 2005:
Saving bonus triangles in usable sizes mean I actually DO use them! I used my Bonus Triangle Buddy to mark my second sewing line giving me triangle squares that give me an even measurement for ease of use!
Click HERE to learn how to save your bonus units so they are ready to go!
For volume 8 of 100 blocks – I wondered if I could tone down my usual scrappy everything look – for a bit more of a subtle color way:
I love blue and green together!
I dug into my blue and green scraps and my pre-cut squares from my Scrap User's System, including things like civil war, batik, old calicoes, recycled shirts, plaids stripes and everything under the sun as long as it was in these two color families. My usual love of scrappy neutrals as a background canvas did the job I wanted it to do – and there is everything in these backgrounds too including recycled plaids and stripes, batik, prints from the 1980s and modern black on whites!
You might even notice that not all the star points match perfectly. I sewed my block on my 1911 singer treadle machine. I’m not the best treadler out there, but I give it a good shot.
I loved this block so much that after I sent it off to Quiltmaker I just kept sewing!
In the gallery section of the magazine you will find my Scrap Crystals block in a finished quilt:
No pattern is given in the magazine for the full quilt, but it will be making an appearance in my next book, More Adventures with Leaders & Enders, published by Kansas City Star and due out in Spring 2014!
Please visit Quiltmaker’s Blog, Quilty Pleasures for more goodies and give-aways HERE! All of the other participants of this blog hop are listed on the Quiltmaker blog, so don’t miss out.
If you are new to Quiltville, I hope you’ll stick around and explore a bit! There are a multitude of tabs at the top of the blog to direct you to things like my Free Patterns, Tips & Techniques, Vintage Sewing Machines and to my Quilt-Cam –when I am home and not traveling teaching quilting, I will turn on the live web cam in my studio and you can sew along with me! These episodes are archived on YouTube and are all accessible by the links in the Quilt-Cam tab.
You will also notice a tab called Celtic Solstice! Every year I run a Reader Appreciation Mystery. Celtic Solstice is this year’s online mystery and our introductory post is linked at the bottom of the tab with the yardage requirements, colors and other info to participate in this year’s mystery which starts November 29th! It’s a ton of fun---I hope you’ll play along!
We've also got a very active Facebook community, over 37,000 readers strong! Click the link at the bottom of this post to like our Facebook page and keep up with what we are doing there. Feel free to share photos of your quilts in progress and share with others!
This blog is updated at least twice a day so you will want to keep up with the latest news and adventures of a traveling itinerant quilter. There is always something fun to read in Quiltville!
Now – the good part!
Leave me a comment in the comments section below. If you've made any of my quilts before, tell me something about your favorite!
Remember - your email address MUST be visible in your profile, or in your comment to win. If I have no way to contact you back, I'll have to choose someone else!
The drawing will be open until Sunday, November 17th when I will draw the winners.
Happy Hopping, everyone!

«Oldest ‹Older 1001 – 1200 of 1397 Newer› Newest»Celtic Solstice will be my first "Bonnie" quilt but certainly not my last! I've been following you for about eight months. I'm working on my Scrap Users system so I'll be ready to go as soon as I finish my UFO's for this year. Thanks for the chance to win a copy of the book, and thank you for all you do for us. P.S. I don't mind having to do the word verification. :-)
Love the new block.
I just finished a baby quilt size Pineapple Blossom, done in sherbet colored batiks. And now I'm working on another using the bonus triangles for a little girl whose family just lost their home in a fire Saturday night.
Love your blog and don't know where you find the energy to get so much done.
Love this block and the blues and greens. Making things scrappy is the best way to go! Thanks for all you do and share with us!
I love your block and the quilt you have made from it. I have made several of your quilts including most of the mysteries, but I don't think I can pick a favorite as I like them all so much. Thanks for all you do for the quilt world!
I love these 100 blocks magazines. Such wonderful new ideas. I am a lover of scrappy since finding your website/blog. I have made several of your quilts which are all favourites. So hard to pick one in particular. Thank you for all your wonderful mystery quilts. Looking forward to the new one.
This block is one of my favorites that you have created. What a great quilts it makes.
Love, love, love your patterns, Bonnie.... so far, I've done 2 Diamond Strings, a Pineapple Blossom, and I've the fabric pulled for Sister's Choice. Also doing the mystery!
Sew on!

p.s. have no idea why it says I'm 'unknown', lol
Love scrapping with all your great pattern Bonnie, can't wait to try this one!
I have so much fun making blocks from 100 Blocks vols 1 & 2. Haven't as yet made it to vol 3, but will soon.
WOW already there are 1000 comments! Just shows how much we love you and what you do so generously for all us quilters. I pick up the block magazines as soon as they hit the racks. Would be extra special to win an autographed copy from you this time. Thanks for the chance to enter.
I'm planning on starting a string quilt soon
Bonnie, I participated in your 2012 Mystery Quilt Along and ended up with my first bed quilt! Your weekly instructions made it so fun to play along. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, if I had known ahead of time I would have told myself "There is no way I can make that quilt!" But I did make it and I love it!
I would LOVE to win the newest addition of 100 Blocks. Thanks for the chance to enter.
My favorite Bonnie quilt would have to be the first I ever made...Carolina Christmas.
I have done a few of your quilts and love them all but the one I enjoyed making the most was Bow-dacious. I am putting Lazy Sunday together my first mystery and doing Blue Ridge beauty as a leader and ender sewing the blocks together now. I have the fabric for Celtic solice picked out bur I am hoping to get the LS at least into a flimsy before I start it. I was looking at my bonus triangles just the other day and wondering what to do with them this block is the answer I love it!!! Thanks Bonnie for the chance to win this magazine.

I love the new block and would love a signed copy of the 100 blocks, there are so many wonderful blocks in each cope. I started following your blog with the easy street mystery, I made sisters choice while you were making you new one for class. I did the lazy sunday, many scappy trips, and dancing nine patch in 3 sizes. I love you style and now feel like i'm a quilter and not just a sewer. i'm so thankful for your giving nature. thank you so much!!!!
Bonnie - Inspired by you to set up and use my mother's Singer 201 and also found an almost spotless Featherweight 221. So amazed at the wonderfully smooth and beautiful stitches. Going to start a leaders and enders project and would love to use the block from the book as my first project on Mom's machine since I left home (I grew up sewing on this machine). I FORGOT how wonderful and QUIET it was. Thanks for the inspiration and for the chance to win. Blessings.
First let me say thank you for the chance to win this magazine. I love how you design all of your mysteries and make them so easy for all of us, and all of your patterns are just awesome. I have started the last 3 mysteries, collecting FQ for Jamestown Landing as DH loves this quilt, and have all but one fabric for Lazy Sunday. As for the mystery coming up yes I will start it also, have never done scrappy but with your help I am learning how to throw caution to the wind and see what comes back across the sewing table. Thank you Bonnie for your time and generosity!

I was using my 2.5 inch strips tonight and made up a whole kid quilt top. SO EASY with my Bonnie strips already made, and so delightfully scrappy. Let's see. Jared takes a wife, blue and white double Irish chain with recycled men's dress shirts, Easy Street, Pinwheels and Patches (I call mine Naptime with Nibs); and my paint chips for Celtic are all ready. love new ideas, and reading your blog entries every day.
Love your ideas, and especially like Quiltmakers magazines
keep up the good work
Love your stuff. Did Easy Street, Scrappy flying geese, and used the braid pattern. Patiently waiting for the new mystery to start. I don't mind the word verification thing. I look at it as a challenge.
I love your block. I'm going to make it into a quilt as soon as I can! It's fabulous.
Very nice block!
Fabtabulous!!!! I love how it looks all as a big quilt! You're amazing!
One of my favourite quilters
Another fabulous block design. Thankyou.
Love the generosity that you have for your followers! I have been saving scraps and need more guidance.. Thanks!
I entered one this morning, but I am not sure if it worked, so I am repeating myself. I collect quilting books and so enjoy going through them and "reading" them as well as looking at all the pictures. I do not have one of these 100 Blocks books, so I would love to have a special one to add to my collection. (lewjacks@suddenlink.net)
Jared takes a Wife !! Love it. Finished it this fall.
I'm glad to see that saving all those leftovers can be used to create a beautiful quilt. I don't have enough yet, but I'm working on it.
Thank-you BONNY H.for a chance to win Been on your site for hours and days My best site !!!!!!!!!
As usual, Bonnie, your block is fabulous! Looking forward to the next mystery quilt, too.
Bonnie, I have never made any of your quilts but I do sew along with your YouTube show when I can. I just purchased a New Home Treadle sewing machine and its cabinet for $50. The wood is water damaged and I do need to purchase a new belt but if not for you I would have never considered owning one of my own. It has made me so very happy. Thanks for the encouragement. I am also intrigued by your QAL. I will be following along... hopefully sewing along as well.
I would like to win this book. It would keep me sewing for some time. Thank you Bonnie for all you do.
Thank you so much Bonnie for making it possible for me to enter these giveaways! I apologize for the spammers in advance. Thank you for putting up with them so that I too have a chance to participate in the fun! You are very generous to help with this. I love you blog! I hope to be able to make one of your quilts soon. I have been involved in "life" for a while and haven't been quilting. I do miss it! Thank you again and God bless you and yours. My prayers for your dear brother also! Helen

Hi Bonnie,
I'm interested in the book OF COURSE!, but also wanted to tell you about my delectable mountains blocks since you're doing/done your brother's quilt. I started about a year ago - how do I know that? (it seems like forever the blocks have been waiting for the big finish) I was in MA during Hurricane Sandy, house-sitting and sewing on a beater of a featherweight I bought there.
I needed a project, but had no tools or fabric. I chose the delectables because I could mark an 8.5" square using 8.5 x 11 paper; draw a diagonal and cut with SCISSORS before sewing. I then kinda folded into halves twice and voila! a (slightly wonky shaped) block!
I did buy a few quarters, as well a a few shirts. I made over 30 blocks. We were hit by a BIG tree before the storm passed us. Our car was safe, but our friends' garage was blockaded by that tree. Interesting times, and I'll not forget Sandy.
Thanks for all the inspiration.
I love the idea of using scraps. I read your column and would like to organize myself. Any chance to play with my fabric is welcomed!
I have not yet made one of your quilts, but the one you posted here for the blog hop is spectacular and I sure would like to make it.
I love the Scrap Crystals block and the quilt! I am going to do your Soltice Mystery, too. Thanks for such great patterns and tips.
Strip Twist was so much fun! And love this block too.... of course!
Thanks for a chance to win !!!!!!!! I'm scrappy too.yo ur my best site
I love the Quiltmaker Magazine's 100 Blocks series and I love your blog. I have a lot of scraps to get rid of and this looks like a great block!
Have been collecting "scraps" the past couple months, need to make up my mind after the holidays which quilt I'm going to start on. Love all your ideas - thanks for the chance to win the new 100 Block book.
I admire your quilts and hope to be able to make one soon!
Quilty@njquilter
Bonnie, I'd love to win this book. I'm a daily reader of your blog. I have made the Happy Scrappy Houses quilt, and have a Scrappy Bargello in the works. email is ccasey1343 at aol.com
As a neewbie to the quilting world I love the opportunity the Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Vol. 8 Blog Tour is giving me to gain ideas and knowledge. I know this is going to be a long time passion (sorry dearest).
My latest quilt of yours has been Easy Street! I love it and looking forward to the next mystery. I learned so much doing Easy Street. Thank you!
I love your block and always follow your blog! Thanks for the opportunity to win.
I think you are right in keeping out the scammers and spammers. janmccoy@hotmail.com
I love scrappy quilts but have not made one of your designs yet. I watch all the quiltcams and read all your posts. Thanks for the giveaway!
libertytheads@charter.net
Bonnie, I've done EASY STREET and ORCA BAY, and I'm planning on the newest mystery too - you help get me on track with my quilting, such a great teacher and mentor! This block book would have a good home with me...
While I do love scrappy, I feel a bit lost when I try to go completely scrappy-no colorways at all. But with all the scraps I have piling up I'm going to have to do something soon! lotsofteapots@charter.net
Very nicely scrappy!
Love your block (but them, why wouldn't I--I love all your blocks and patterns)!
I love this block whether it is with scrappy colors or just a few. Congratulations on your 7th time around!
I'm fairly new to your blog and I'm having so much fun with it! So many ideas and so many color possibilities!! I think the first pattern I'm going to do is Scrappy Mountains Majesty. They are all so beautiful!! Thank you for such a wonderful blog!
I keep all my small scraps and this would be perfect for them. It's hard to find patterns to use the small pieces, but I can't bear to throw them out.
LOVE the Green and Blue combination!!!! Scrappy quilts are my Favourite quilts!! Looking forward to your new mystery quilt. I love the colors you have chosen and the paint chip idea ts fantastic!!
I'm new to Quiltville so I haven't made one of your quilts yet but I plan to make the Celtic Solstis. I was happy to see that it really is okay to save the bonus triangles. Throwing them away has always made me a little crazy.
I have not make one of your quilts but have several on my to-do list and am organizing the scraps Thank you.
I like Scrappy Mountain Majesties because it is easy and looks great!
Bonnie, I absolutely LOVE that block and the quilt layout as well. Hoping I win one of the giveaways. Now I need to go back up and reread your post because I don't recall seeing the name of your block!

I'm thinking over the Celtic Solstice. I got my paint chips and the thought process is in gear. May take a little longer than others, as life has thrown me a curve ball, and I must play it. Would love to win a copy. Love the pix on the cover.
I always love what you do with these scraps! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for all your hard work and then giving us a chance to win things.
I had to reply to your comment because my name is also Donna Coffey (maiden name). Small world.
I don't think I could pick a favorite but love them all when I am done with them and using those scraps I never thought I would! Your block is fantastic!
I love this block. It will make a wonderful quilt. I've made several of yours and the one I'm working on at any given moment is always my favorite.
I have all your books and read your blog everyday, but....I have yet to make one of your patterns except for my pitiful start at "Easy Street"! It is definitely one project I plan to finish one day soon! Tammy (morrowrj at telus dot net)
I'm at the point where I need to load Lazy Sunday in the quilt frame...but, I'm still unpacking our household goods from our recent move (9 says ago). What do I love about a Quiltville mystery? What's not to love?
I am a new quilter and haven't had a chance to make any of your beautiful quilts yet. I love your Scrap Crystals quilt...blue and green are my favorites. Thank you for sharing! anglanouette at gmail dot com
I just started your story time stars quilt, for a new grandbaby. I'm, a beginner quilter. I've been reading your blog for the past month and a half. I started at the beginning (2005), and have read it through your trip to Bali. I' haven't caught up all the way yet. It has been such an inspiration to me. It is one of the reasons I started quilting again . I've made a few baby quilts. I'm wanting to make a larger quilt for my bed. I think I'll make sisters choice. I have M.S. so it might take me awhile. But I think I can do it. I just love your blog! Dmac5958@aol.com
I love your site! I have found the quilt pattern for my husbands quilt. He is going to love the Scrapy Majestic Mountains pattern.
You are the best person in the quilting world. I have your books. I have followed you for many years and I have made Many of yours quilt patterns. May God reward you abundantly. Dawn K. in MO Funny97921@aol.com
I look forward to this edition every year. Congrats once again on a great scrappy "Bonnie Hunter" block!
Love your block, Bonnie! The 100 Blocks issues are great! So much inspiration.
Bonnie, "Thank you for taking the extra time to share your tips and techniques!" I appreciate your offering an opportunity to possibly receive the gift of the this
issue of 100 Blocks.
I love your blog and your designs. While I haven't made any of "your" quilts yet (no one else's either) I have all of your books, and would love to find out that I won this!
I cannot tell you what patterns of yours I've worked on. I can tell you that I must drool over a LOT of them, because I'm usually oblivious to names (singers, artists, writers, designers, etc.) until I figure out that I really like a lot of their stuff. So the fact that I recognize the name, and know that I like all your designs in the 100 blocks so far is notable.
I love scrappy. I don't generate my own fast enough -- I've started raiding others' scraps, too!
What a beautiful block and love thw quilt it makes. I'm still new to quilting and building up my stash and I'm so excited as I just read about your scrap saving system and bonus triangles. I can't wait for my next bonus triangle! lol Congratulations on having your block published and Thank You for a great giveaway!
missmoozie(at)gmail(dot)com
Scrappy is my favorite kind of quilt! I have been a scrap saver my whole life (I am 60) and have just gotten into quilt making. Thank you for this chance to win!
I love the Scrap Crystals block! Actually, I love most of your creations!
I think my favorite Bonnie quilt (so far) would be the Pineapple Blossom. It was fast, and you get bonus triangles to boot!. I have made 2 or 3 of these and given them as gifts since they are quick. Thanks for the opportunity to win the giveaway.
I found your website a few years ago and was so inspired by the scrap users system. I made last years mystery quilt with yellows, oranges, greens and browns- looks beautiful (needs to be quilted!) You are such a motivator- and I thank you for that
I love ALL the quilts I've made from your patterns! Perhaps RRCB is my favorite because of all the small pieces and the strip piecing too. I love complexity and scrappiness. Thanks for the chance to win this book.
I've done all of your mysteries and like Easy street the most. Love the colors I used which were much like yours. Am waiting patiently for the next one to start. Have picked my fabrics out of my stash. I love this new block and the completed quilt design, I am making 4 patches etc. and also doing the one you're challenging us for the year. Would love to have this magazine.
I love Jamestown Landing and Orca Bay.

yikes! look at all of these comments. that's a lot of competition to win. ;)
I first met you years ago when you came to the Ft Worth quilt guild and I am in love with scrappy quilts. In spite of the variety of fabrics, this block really works cuz you stayed in the color families. And I am just starting to get more variety in my neutral backgrounds so really appreciate seeing all you used. Thanks, Bonnie.
He thanks thanks for the chance to win this magazine. Love all that you do for the quilting world!!!!!! Your designs are fantabulous.

I recently purchased String Fling for the Colorado Quilting Council Library as a memorial book for a member who passed away--it was suggested by her daughter since her mother had been working on a quilt in that book before she passed away--it's a great addition to our library.

Just found you the other day, and have really enjoyed checking out your blog and Facebook page. Really loved the green & blue scrappy quilt that you made! Just getting into makes quilts myself.
Hi Bonnie
Thank you for the giveaway! I love your blog and quiltcam. I haven't been able to catch you live and appreciate that you archive the vidoes on Youtube.
I haven't made one of your quilts yet. I'm hoping to be able to follow along with the upcoming mystery. I am also involved in a Facebook swap using your string block tutorial. So I'll be making that quilt soon. I also have a scrap system set up influenced by your system. I use crumb blocks for my leaders and enders.
Thanks for all you do!
VickyK
Bonnie, I am so looking forward to Celtic Solstice.I am collecting my fabric now. Your mysteries are always so very inspiring.
Just discovered your blog and quilt cam, love your enthusiasm, having trouble getting this comment to post so hope i don't post twice!
The block is lots of fun. Would love to win a copy of the magazine. Thanks for the opportunity.
I recently purchased String Fling for the Colorado Quilting Council Library in honor of a member who passed away. Her daughter suggested your book since the quilt her mother had last worked on was in the book.
I used your scrappy trip around the world pattern to make my blocks but pieced the blocks little different to make a diamonds using American Jane ABC 123 fabric and loved the way it turned out. Thanks so much for sharing so many fun patterns!
I love stars so your scrappy star block has inspired me to attempt making it. Like so many I learned to sew at a very young age. All my work has been by hand but I am going to make a quilt for my daughter in-law by machine. teresacasillas1@msn.com
Lynne in Hawaii...Thanks for the chance. I won't admit to your blog being addictive but I do check in...twice a day :-) e-mail bgailey@hawaii.rr.com
I would like to win this great book. We do not have them in the Netherlands.
Greetings Dini
akuijer@versatel.nl
Scrappies are my favorite, this block I will certainly make . I would very much like to win the book, I'm also hinting how much I'd love to receive one of your books fo Xmas every time I meet my family (after all, I've made a quilt using your free patterns for each one of them)
WOW 1134! That is a lot of comments. Thanks for everything you have done for the quilting community. I think "Trips around the world" is my favorite so far. Mindless but meditative. It gives me so many choices. I also tend to miniaturize all patterns. Yours are easy to do that. I really want to participate in the next mystery, but I have to get my remodeling done first.
Again thanks for everything.
I really enjoy seeing how you "invent" your blocks! Thanks for the details of choosing your fabrics and reminding us of the mystery quilt start date.
I have not actually made any of your quilts yet since I am new to quilting this year. I HAVE been able to incorporate several of your handy shortcut/timesaver/fabric saving tips to the way I'm doing things. I love the tip on using leader/enders when sewing and then making a quilt with those pieces later. It has saved me time and thread.
FABULIOUS Block. I'm aiming to be scrappy next year (too many UFO's for this year) A perfect block to start
I read every bit of news and information I find that you post. Love your scrappy style of quilting. I would love to win a copy of the new 100 Blocks magazine. Thanks for the opportunity.
I have to admit I haven't made any of the blocks from the books as so far I haven't been lucky enough to have one of them. I love your patterns since I don't need to have tons of one fabric and I can use the scraps I have. You instance on checking your 1/4" seam allowance has changed my life. My pieces still aren't perfect but getting closer and closer with each new project. Thanks,
Sue
Thank you for the chance to win this book. I'm planning on making your mystery quilt.

Oh my goodness! What a lot of comments!! No, I haven't made any of your quilts, but the scrappy look is a good one for me! I'd love to win one of the books.
Love the scrappiness of your block and can't wait to get started on the mystery quilt! Thanks
Easy Street was my first mystery--looking forward to the next one!
Would love to win a copy! Dithering about what to do with a stack of shirt fabrics.
Wow...you go more than the extra mile...appreciate the opportunity to participate in the giveaways...and I look forward to being able to entrt the discourse from time to time...

I love "100 Blocks" and I look forward to it every year. FYI, Boxy Stars is one of my favorites, and my Jamestown Landing top is almost finished. Yeah!! from kohara555@optimum.net. Kathy
I love scrappy quilts! You inspire me and give me new perspectives on quilting. I enjoy reading your thoughts on different subjects and learning from your examples. Thank you!
I just wanted to thank you! I have a "mental block" with being scrappy. The past few years I have made some blocks of yours and gotten more comfortable doing scrappy, so much so, that I prefer scrappy! Thank you for getting me to open my eyes!
I love this block! Anything with a star is tops in my book, but make it scrappy, and it's even better. I did your Orange Crush mystery quilt and have several other of your designs waiting in the wings. It must be about time too, as my scrap bins are busting at the seams. Keep inspiring us with your designs!
Thanks for your inspirational block. I love scrappy quilts and love the idea of making it in one or two colors so that it is less scrappy looking. It is on my list of next-to-do quilts.
I love looking at all your quilts and I'm always impressed with how different they look done in other colors. I have yet to tackle one myself. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
Hi Bonnie- I love scrappy quilts. So far, I have made Easy Street and Bricks and Stones. This block looks great - thanks for the chance to win!
I am a devoted Bonnie Hunter fan! Thanks for another terrific scrap busting block idea! jmbubar(at)gmail(dot)com
I have done so many of you quilt patterns and I have all your books too! I guess my fav. is the one I have finished including binding. Alas, I have not gotten to that stage with ANY. I'm not a finisher I guess. I am on a mission to finish my UFO's and yours will be among them. I have to fix the border of my Orca Bay. One side doesn't fit. Bummer.

just discovered you and your book from posting of friends of Facebook. I love hunting rabbits on FB! LOL I guess because it feeds my ADD and I have been called a rainbow chaser! And what a pot of gold I found at the end of this rainbow! Love your site, your blog, your honesty-about the messy state you get in -and your designs! I am soooo excited to do more exploring on your sites & in your books! If I win your book, that would be great, if I don't I am still so very happy that I have discovered Quiltville! I have a feeling this is the name of my new hometown! Dedee Duckham of Quiltville! sounds good to me! Have a great Thanksgiving, a Christmas of miracles, and a wonder-filled New Year!

I've been collecting scraps for several years now and after seeing your block, I need to get ready to make this block! It's just fabulous and can't wait to play with my scraps!!
I am such a Bonnie Hunter fan that I should have cards printed...I am always sending folks to your site. Thanks for being so giving and sharing with the quilting community.
Last year at Block Party, Portland, you spoke about the scrap saver system and the various cuts you make to scraps...so I went right home and tackled the big tub of scraps and cut like crazy for days. Then this last week I came upon a pattern I really liked and woo-hoo I had a zip lock baggie full of the right size strips....thank you Bonnie!!!!
What a great block! I love scrappy quilts so it's a perfect block for me! I don't have a favorite quilt....I love them all!

Hi, I am new to your blog and love it! Thank you for the blog and all of your wonderful, useful tips! It has been a while since I have done any quilting but I now have time once again to sew. I have not made any of your quilts but I love hexies and have started a new quilt thanks to you. Thanks also for the "Scrap users system" that is great. Thanks for the chance to win!
Love your quilts! Am collecting for Celtic Solstice! New to your blog, and am enjoying it very much! Thanks! Barbara Green bigrin@cox.net
My favorite type of quilt is a Scrappy quilt - I get such pleasure from making a quilt, or a piece of whole fabric to make a project, out of scraps that others might throw away. Making something out of nothing basically. Your scrappy block is fabulous - I love the first one pictured with the reds and browns, and I love the green and blues one tool. I like the name of crystals for the block - very appropriate. I have recently discovered Quiltville and read your facebook and blog everyday.
Thanks for the chance to win the 100 blocks magazine.
I recently discovered quiltville and quilt cam. WOW! Love it. So glad to know that there are so many other quilters out there that love scrappy. Thanks for the chance to win the book. Very interested in trying the scrap crystal block.
My friend Theresa finally got me to try Leaders and Enders. It caught on and now I can not NOT have L/E ready by my machine to work on! I have parts made for my very first L/E quilt!!! Thank you Bonnie, and Theresa!

Me gusta mucho tu blog.He aprendido mucho cosiendo contigo.Me encantaría ser la ganadora del libro.Tengo guardados los restos de una colcha que hice con uno de tus bloques la falsa piña,y pienso aprovecharlos cosiendo los bloques que propones en la revista.
