It has been an awesome week of quilty togetherness with the August Quiltvillians 2.0!
Why 2.0? Because they are the second group of retreaters gathering from my Quiltville's Open Studio Group on Facebook.
With over 123,000 members from around the globe, retreats are such a great way to actually meet online friends in person and develop those acquaintances into real life meaningful friendships.
I'm thrilled to have TWO Open Studio groups here in August, and even more excited that we'll have them back again next year.
Dancing Nine Patch (Free Patterns tab) Silver linings from String Frenzy, Chilhowie, and Garden Party from the Addicted to Scraps book.
Rebecca made this cute kid's quilt by cutting apart a panel and sashing the blocks, making a string border with her leftovers to finish it off. So cute!
Tracey is sharing her Bristol finish, and this is followed by Wanda's beautiful purple star, and Sharon's newly completed Blue Ridge Beauty from Adventures With Leaders & Enders.
Nola brought her Chilhowie and Betty shared her darling scrappy nine-patch.
This was Ellen's first Quiltville Inn retreat and she brought all of these! Sandcastles from String Frenzy followed by her Unity quilt, and her Chilhowie top assembled on retreat and just waiting for borders!
And did you see her jacket?
She made it out of her completed Rhododendron Trail quilt!
This is adorable!
But weather is going to have to cool down quite a bit before it is jacket wearing weather around here.
Another Chilhowie finish - gorgeous border!
Tracy brought her Rivanna in purples!
And sharing her Jacob's Cbain top finished in gifted holiday scraps finished here on retreat!
I tell you, these ladies were so super productive!
No, we didn't have ANY fun at all. None. LOL!
Seriously - it was a great week and I'm so glad I got to participate and visit with everyone while they were here. New friendships made, and friendships will continue!
We'll see you back next August!
As of me - this was going on next door in the QPO studio.
Setting triangles. DONE! Corner units - still to come.
This project feels endless - but I should be ready to start laying things out this week.
Sashings are cut - let's get things thing together!
There has been such an incredible response to my new PDF pattern for Morning Glories and the Gift-Away entries are going wild!

Today:
You just know that Tuesday is laundry day around here, right? It's already running and I am posting this from my desk at the QPO studio next door.
The Stitch Mob girls are already on their journey from Missouri and beyond - I know they are making many stops on their way including Paducah! Lucky girls!
They will be arriving tomorrow afternoon after 3pm - and here we go again.
What's going on in your world? Is your canning done yet? Kids/grandkids back to school?

Wow!! Beautiful quilts. Such talent. It's amazing everyone gets their projects done while at the retreat.
I fell down the basement stairs yesterday...ow. don't know how much sewing I'll get done.
Have a great day
Some Grandkids and kids who are teachers have started school. It's a fun time to see how they have grown. Local kids will wait until the Fairs are done to begin their school year. Next week is a Beach Boys Concert and I get to go see Quilts on a Free day, because I can, makes me Happy!
If Tracy ever wants to get rid if that purple Rivanna, I would take it in a heart beat! Gorgeous quilts ladies!
Beautiful quilts everyone. Such wonderful variety.
Here in Iowa today it's really hot. Probably will trim up a bunch of string blocks, sew and trim up some other little challenge blocks I've been working on. Maybe basting mini hexies while TV time with hubby tonight. Just light work to keep the hands busy.
Love the Showering Stars quilt (purple stars). I just watched the video on Jordan Fabrics YouTube.
Great Over-the-Rail show! Always love to see quilts in different colors than the original. OMGoodness! That Jacket! Wow! Don't know if I could cut up a quilt but it is very cool!
This quilt REALLY speaks to me. I cannot wait to make it! I knew I had to make it when I saw it on your quilt frame during our retreat at Quiltville. Love love love it!!
Another fabulous over the rail shoot!! I love to see the original patterns in different color ways! That coat is super cute and such a fabulous job done on it! :)
