It’s time!
Let’s draw our three winners for the IronEZ spray bottle holders and get these off to our 3 lucky winners!
I’ve got one on my ironing board. I’ve got one on my cabinet next to my machine-side pressing table -
And yesterday, I FINALLY recovered a big board ironing board, and clamped it there during the great flannel-pressing-design-wall-covering event of 2019!
Check this out:
You might remember the ticking striped canvas fabric!
It came from an old pair of drapes covering a sliding glass door in the sewing room at the cabin. It’s now covered TWO ironing boards with much more to spare! The ticking stripe lives on!
Find my easy standard ironing board cover tutorial at the head of the list under the free patterns tab at the top of the blog.
To cover the big board (which was already covered with a piece of old thread covered batting, stapled in to place) I just cut the ticking fabric 3’’ bigger all the way around the board, and since the board was screwed to the top of the ironing board legs, I just folded it over and stapled it on top of the old batting. Such an easy fix!
Notice the thick rubber grips on the clip part of the IronEZ! It’s got a wide rage of adjustable thicknesses. The rubber grips will protect your furniture and also prevent tears in your ironing board covers.
And on to the big board with new cover it goes!
And oh, I ironed SO MUCH FLANNEL yesterday! But more on that later, let’s draw for our 3 winners! You guys! We had 5,049 entries!! Sew exciting.
JuliAnn Craver!
Tracy Greenlee!
Carol Kuvakas!
Congrats, ladies! Simply reply to the emails that I’ve sent to the addresses with your shipping addresses and I’ll have the kind folks at IronEZ get your prizes out to you.
And for those who didn’t win – you can still save 15% using coupon code BH15off ordering from IronEZ directly! You’ll input the code on the checkout page.
Get two or three while you are at it. You are going to LOVE keeping those spray bottles in line and off of your ironing surface.
I love that it fits and corrals a multitude of favorite bottle sizes – and the free bottle that comes with it has even a finer mist than the traditional trigger spray on Best Press.
It will also hold an aerosol spray starch can, Flatter spray, or many beverage bottles – keep it near your machine and remember to HYDRATE!
All design walls are covered!
They will be hung AFTER painting happens -
Perhaps they will be up and ready when I return from Kenya?
THIS also happened -
I discovered Clean Cut Printables on Etsy, and she had the perfect PDF that I could print and frame myself. For all of $5.00. She has others too, and it is such a brilliant idea.
I purchased the frames at Walmart for $4.00 a piece. They will hang over each commode at Quiltville Inn. Details, details! But so important!
She’s been a very busy girl. LOOK!!
And she finished the top of her Punkin Patch Table Runner!
It’s so cute, Paula!
You, too can have this ready before Halloween – and enjoy it all through the month of November. The pattern is STILL half-price in the Quiltville Store at only $4.00, no coupon code needed. You could be pulling fabrics and stitching within the hour!
This morning I am headed home to Wallburg – tomorrow, JFK NY, and then KENYA on Wednesday! It’s time. It’s finally time!
The highlight of this travel home day will be stopping in Wilkesboro to meet up with Mona for lunch. I haven’t seen her for several weeks. There is much catching up to do.
What’s up for your Monday? It’s a brand new week ahead. Make some big plans and ding in!
Quiltville Quote of the Day -

And that includes you too!

I worked on my little pumpkins yesterday and got them all sewn into the two rows..they're so CUTE! Now to make the checkerboard center and get them all together. Love the pattern. Your design walls look great! Have fun in Kenya!
Have a wonderful trip--say hi to the lions for me! :)
My Monday? A few weeks ago I acquired 45 yards of African wax block print fabrics. Because I hate the idea of cutting them to small pieces, I’m making a bunch of reversible, washable grocery tote bags. Will sell in a local craft fair, but what is left will be Christmas gifts for family and friends.
My Monday: Workmen start building a fence beside my driveway designed so that I can grow vines on it. I'm open to suggestions about which vines to grow. Right now, leaning towards Kiwi -- may as well grow something I can eat! But Clematis would attract pollinators. Anyone have a favorite vine. I'm hoping the vines will hide some ugly utility poles and wires. Also today, a physical therapy appointment and am hoping to finish a BH pumpkin table runner top.
Love you, Bonnie, safe travels!
You have worth beyond measure!

Thank you Bonnie! I was excited to get your email this morning! I look forward to NOT knocking over my spray bottle ever again!!

Purple Hyacinth Bean. Deep purple pods with pink flowers. Blooms all summer. Grows fast.
congratulations to the winners!!!
Just a thought! Maybe place your signs in front of the commode. Ladies sit down and it would be in their face if it was at eye level.
