Let’s Draw a Winner! Mar/Apr Quiltmaker!

Hello from Mineola, Texas!

I just got back from dinner out with my brother in law, sister in law, nephew, niece and great niece!

How wonderful it is to be able to have a Sunday night dinner with extended family so far away from home on a teaching trip!

It was so good to catch up wtih all of them since we hadn’t seen each other in about a year and a half.    Family is just that important, and I hope it won’t be this long until we are able to see each other again.

I’ve moved the drawing of the Quiltmaker magazine March/April 2016 issue up a day –I’ve had a chance in my own travel schedule, and this is really the best night to do it so hopefully everyone who WANTED to enter, has!

If not we’ll catch them again another time.  There is always a goodie waiting in the wings, right?

These goodies are going to someone!

2060 of you have entered this little giveaway, and I’m really anxious to see who will be drawn, and where I will be sending these goodies.

Tonight I’m drawing for one lucky winner who is going to win a copy of the March/April 2016 issue of Quiltmaker Magazine along with a “Dash to the Finish” Scrap Quilt Pattern by Debbie Caffrey and a Bonus CD from Quiltmaker with a special scrap pattern and 12 quilting motifs!

We will let the Random Number Generator pick our winner ---and then I’ll pull that entry from the entrants!

Diann Crask!

Congrats, Diann!  I’ve sent you an email letting you know you have been drawn as winner.  Please get back to me with your snail mail address and I’ll be putting these goodies in the mail to you upon my return home from Alabama next Saturday, Feb 7th.

WOW!  That was fun!  I can’t believe we had 2060 entrants.  And I am really loving the ease of using the Linky for our giveaways.  We will continue this way!

Ramona’s Allietare!

Ramona brought her Allietare for show & share while I have been here teaching for Stitchin’ Heaven Quilt Shop in Mineola, Texas!  Isn’t this just gorgeous?  She had to miss class today due to an ill family member, and I am posting this as a shout out to let her know we missed her today and our thoughts and prayers are with her!

Another Allietare from this round of workshops!

Goodness gracious!  Aren’t these colors wonderful?

Why am I sharing these??  BECAUSE!  Tomorrow is Monday, February FIRST!  Remember that I told you our LAST Mystery Monday Link-Up would be happening on February first?

I’m putting this here because I want to remind you of the  Link-Up and let you know how eager I am for you to share the status of your own Allietare with all of us here on the blog.  If you have BLOCKS, share them.  If you have a quilt center with no borders, share it!  If you have a top with borders that is not yet quilted, share it!  If you are quilted but waiting for binding, please share it!

The Link-Up will go live tomorrow morning before I head over to my last workshop.  Remember I’m in a different time zone, so it might be a bit later than normal –but I am shooting for by 9:30am Eastern.  It takes time to get this stuff together, you know!

You can share a blog post, an instagram, flickr, google+ post or photo or a Pinterest photo.  Please include some words about your photo in your post so we know who you are and how you felt about this mystery experience this year.  I really hope you had a good time working along with everyone else during this very exciting time.

Because this is the last Mystery Monday Link-Up for Allietare, I’m going to leave the Link-Up open until 11:55pm next Sunday night so you have a week to get your entries in.

I’ve also got something extra special happening tomorrow in conjunction with our Mystery Monday Link-Up, so you won’t want to miss that either!

As for me this evening ---

I’ve got some of this going on!

Irene and I have been sewing away in the evenings in Irene’s room because her room is bigger than mine, and it is more fun to sew with two than it is with one!

It’s my last night to work on this project as I’m heading back to the Dallas area after the workshop is over tomorrow, with the owner of this beautiful green loaner 301 – Sandra!  Sandra and her hubby are kind enough to take me in for the night so we don’t have to fight Dallas traffic to get me to the airport on Tuesday morning when I head off to Gulf Shores, Alabama.

I’ll get to see Sandra’s other machines and vintage quilts up close and personal, something we both share a common love of!

I’ll catch you in the morning for the Link-Up! Oh I know it is going to be a wonderful show!

Night night, everyone!

I will have to sew fast in the morning to get my top all together to link-up. Or just post it Wednesday and go easy on myself. I love the cute Basket block in QM this time! Nice of Sandra to save you crazy traffic. Have a good night.

It's a good thing you are leaving today. A bunch of us were thinking of taking you hostage at bunkhouse and asking people to send fabric and groceries. We would be armed with Olfa rulers and spray baste!

Whew! For a minute there I thought, "Wow, Bonnie color coordinates her project and her machine!" But it sure would be fun to so on a happy green machine.

Congratulations to Diann! 11:55 next Sunday for the end of the Allietare link up? Let's see how far I can get!

Oh, and Bonnie, I've been trying to add the new Allietare button to my blog, but it keeps showing with the old photo of the houses. Is the html correct? Thanks!

I love seeing all you can teach us through this blog!! Even after being a quilter for years, I have picked up so many tips to do better than before. I am behind on Allietare mystery but I have been able to collect all the colors as I finish up other things. Thank you!!

Aren't old machines fun. This week I picked up a lightly used but never cleaned Singer 221 sewing machine [vintage 1956] for an incredible price. Took it home and started cleaning it. Three hours later I was able to add to my hubby's Amazon order and get the burned out bulb and cracked belt on order. She's a beauty in her own original box with original manual. Such a treasure. Can't wait to try her out.
