I am still unearthing myself out from under the huge stack of mail that has come in over the past couple weeks!
But this envelope I knew right away!
It’s the March/April 2015 issue of Quiltmaker Magazine – the issue that has my Twirl Around blocks for my Addicted to Scraps column!
I’ve been working on these blocks over the past couple of weeks – I have a plan for them!
And while there are things I can’t show online because they are going in as a future magazine project, or book project, or video project – THESE I CAN!!
My stack is growing!
I worked on these while at retreat at Quilt Villa this past week!
And now you can work on them too!

I love these little twirly squares! You know how I adore Purple but I would use bright neon greens for the corners and make each square a different color. When it is finished it will look like a lovely garden.

I would use a darker more subdued green and maybe a rusty orange. I've done enough pastel quilts for a lifetime. But that's the beauty of your patterns. They work with many color palletes.

Well you have done it again, as you always do, what a happy little quilt block, it would be cute done in any color arrangement.
But I think after working with the pink and green in the GIMQ, I would like to use some other colors that I have in my stash like this Royal Blue floral, that has in it all of the next colors mentioned, Aqua Blue, Orange Batik, White, then a Green floral pattern.
That is just one color way that I am thinking on.
