The Last Show & Share, El Cajon Style!

20141016_155647
I had such a great time with these ladies!  They are just so fun to be around!

I had stayed with Sandi two times previously, my first and second trips to San Diego, and she was so kind to shuttle me around, feed me, take care of my laundry and even encourage me to do something I needed to do for myself even though I was feeling pretty worn out – an evening deluxe pedicure after our workshop day was over!

True friends know just what you need…..and boy did that feel good!  Thank you, thank you, Sandi!  For taking me in and taking such good care of me during my all to short visit.

Here is the show and share from the LAST two workshops we held at Memory Lane Quilts in El Cajon!

What’s not to like about Happy Scrappy Halloween Houses??

SUPER CUTE!

Pattern from the Free Patterns tab at the top of the blog!

Kerry brought her pink and brown Dear Jane!  SO BEAUTIFUL!

Close up!

She went with wider sashings and cornerstones and omitted the triangles on the outside edge.

It’s your quilt – make it how YOU want!

Rick Rack Nines from Adventures with Leaders & Enders!

Oh how I love the black setting squares!  Awesome!

Tumelo Trail from Scraps & Shirttails II!

Hop Scotch Butter Scotch from Adventures with Leaders & Enders!

There is one slight variation!  Our quilter used some left over 3” 9 patches in the center of the blocks instead of the 4 patch I used in the original quilt – what a great way to use up left over units from other projects!  I just love the motion in this quilt – things that chain from corner to corner are a favorite!

Scrappy Light & Dark triangles!

This is a great way to use up leftover units as well….playing with triangles is awesome!

Downtown San Diego!

It doesn’t seem possible that just a week ago I was saying goodbye to this beautiful city!  Or more like a week-and-a-day ago.  A week ago I was wandering around Atlanta after an overnight flight in a complete stupor!

San Diego is SUCH a fun place, and there is so much to explore ---we barely scratched the surface!

Next time, beautiful city!

And yeah, did you catch THOSE tiles??!

So here I am in Mineola, Texas!  I’ll be with a crazy bunch of 27 quilters today at Stitchin’ Heaven for a Roll Roll Cotton Boll workshop!

I was told that weather as going to be another horrid week of 90 degree temps.  Like THAT is a PROBLEM?

Bring it!
