And guess what? I have an EXTRA copy to Give-Away to a lucky reader!
It feels kind of weird having a magazine with a Christmas quilt on the cover showing up in my inbox, when I haven’t gotten used to the fact that it is now October – it was 83 degrees here yesterday!
But the holidays will be soon upon us, and this issue is packed with holiday quilty goodies…
Here’s one that cracked me up – and broke me out into a full sweat:
Pardon the bad iPhone photo!
Okay, guys –I want to know if that is a fake backdrop, or is winter and snow covered trees really as perfect in Colorado as I’ve heard? Did I mention it’s still in the 80s here in North Carolina? Seeing you Christmas-Card-Perfect and all wrapped up in coats and scarves has be breaking out in hot flashes…but don’t they look great?
Check this out! See the left hand issue? It says FREE INSIDE!
What’s the Bonus? 12 star blocks from 100 blocks – including my Winston Ways block!
Also included – my Addicted to Scraps Column, featuring Dakota Farmer blocks using all those bonus triangles!
Look what the Quiltmaker team did for a suggested layout:
You can find the details for this quilt variation on the Quiltmaker website HERE.

Please exhaust ALL possibilities and try to leave your comment ON the post, instead of emailing it to me or leaving it for me in the guest book – it makes it harder to be sure all are included in the drawing when there are so many entries from everywhere, and all in different places. If you can’t comment on the blog, find out why. Chances are the post linked above will have your answer.
Remember to click OUT of facebook before commenting – don’t comment through a reader service either..make sure you are actually on the original post and give it a shot. Try it for me. Maybe try a real computer rather than a phone or other mobile device or iPad.

Hi Bonnie,
I figured out how to edit my blogger profile - even added a cute photo of my cats! So now I think I can really win, so this would be awesome to win this Quiltmaker magazine.

I would LOVE this magazine!!! It's one of my favorites, but I am too cheap to buy a subscription!
That magazine would make a great addition to my collection by my sofa. That is where the ones are which need to have a quilt made from them. Wouldn't it be super to have that magazine handy for those stars and to think I could use up more scraps!!!! Thanks for offering the magazine to us.
Pick me, Pick me!! I have loved your quilts for years and would love this magazine!! Thanks for the chance.
Please pick me! I need some new inspiration. You are so good to your ladies.
I would love a copy of Quiltmaker. Our newsstand stopped carrying it :-( and my subscription ran out. I did renew but doubt I will get this issue. saw the Dakota Farmer online and think I would love to try it.
Thanks for all your wonderful scrappy patterns and the chance to win this great magazine!
Love all of your giveaways Bonnie! Thanks for your quilting inspiration! Cheri

Please pick me! I would love the Christmas issue and I need ideas! Thanks!
I need some inspiration to hold me over to February! by the way THAT PICTURE is definitely fake! it just doesnt look real and I seriously doubt they would fly everyone over to Colorado just for a picture--or even Montana for that reason!--these days it is so much cheaper to improvise than act and Montana has had more snow this year already than anywhere else (I think) :-) :-) *~*CAROLE*~*
Thanks for the giveaway! Looks like wonderful inspiration, and I need to start early!
The Quiltmaker magazine looks like a fun issue, I'd love to win!
I want to see this magazine issue in real life. LOL I get an e version. Most issues are OK this way but this one makes me want to feel the pages..\
sjhughson@gmail.com
I hope that makes it to the post.
I am trying to start my Christmas making but as you said the weather makes it hard to concentrate on Christmas! :) And I am finally just finishing the binding on Easy Street and putting borders on Lazy Sunday! I would love to have the Christmas copy of Quiltmaker, my subscription ran out and I won't renew it until next year. ~ Arlene

Hi would love to win.Looks like a great issue.
Oh, what fun that star is, laid out like that! Please!!
I would LOVE to win! Well, let's get serious - we always love to win....anything at all. It's like Christmas for no reason. And since I'm furloughed again today, I'll be working on my blocks from your class in Hershey this year...if it keeps up maybe I'll even finish it!
Would love to have this copy and the extra patterns. I just recently lost my job and will have about 3 months to work on some new projects. Thanks for having a great site too. I learn so much from you. I am researching new sewing machines and learned about plastic today. I did a lift test a few days ago, now I get it.
I would love to have a copy of this magazine. Waiting for your next mystery.
Thanks for the giveaway. Looks like a great issue with some fun Christmas projects.
Looks like another great issue, thx for the chance to win!

I would love a copy of the magazine. quiltnh@comcast.net
Thanks for the give away of the extra copy!
Since I'm working on Halloween things for a swap it doesn't seem too weird to see a Christmas quilt on the cover. What is weird is that the temps are mid- to high-80's!
I'd love to win a copy of the magazine.
I'd love to win! Thanks for the chance :o)
I just love your blocks that are in this magazine! Would love to get an early Christmas package in the mail...hint, hint! Have a wonderful time on your trip!
I would love to have a copy of this magazine. Thanks for giving one away.
I searched in and within a 20 mile radius of my small town for a copy of Quiltmaker Magazine. I have listened to you mention it on Quilt Cam and you have piqued my interest. But I can't find a copy---not at the quilt shop in the next town, not the big box book store 14 miles away, not our WalMart, not the grocery stores. NO ONE carries it! I would love to see a copy!
Looks like a great issue. I have scraps for a star quilt. Great photo, but probably a backdrop and taken in July. We are headed to the low 80s here. Thanks for the chance to win.
Hi Bonnie...You have such creativity! The Winston Ways block is gorgeous! I would love to win this issue of Quiltmaker. Just curious, did you name the block after Winston-Salem?

Thanks for all your tips AND a chance to win a great magazine!
Oh, I hope I win. I could experience winter vicariously through that picture. It might cool down to the 50s or 40s here, but it never looks like that in Phoenix. We have to imagine or create our own holiday moods. I would be so happy to have those bonus star patterns, especially Winston Ways. Thanks for the chance.
Oh yes! I'd love your extra copy of this one. I'm hustling with my Christmas give a ways for family now and would l♥ve this copy. Must try Winston Ways with some of my scraps. Thanks Bonnie! ♥♥♥♥

I am not ready for cold weather and I don't even want to think about Christmas yet. But I have made a Christmas quilt from fabrics donated to Project Linus and I do love star blocks. Love the rainbow version of Dakota Farmer!
I'm a new follower, Bonnie, of your Quilt Cam and blog, and your Quiltmaker magazine column, Addicted to Scraps. I've been a "matchy-matchy" quilter for years, and I'm enjoying the experience of scrap quilting! Can't wait to try your Dakota Farmer block.

I miss the cold German winters. Living in Texas and Florida does not inspire me to make Christmas quilts or decorate much. Would love to win this magazine and make myself a Floridian Christmas Quilt from all these great tutorials and patterns!
I love star blocks, in fact the first quilt I ever made, some 20 years ago, was a scrappy star. I didn't have a stash back then, but collected scraps from my mom, my cousins, my aunts, and used some clothing fabric scraps I had. Thanks for the chance to win!
I am headed there this week-end. SNOW is in the forecast, BOO! The picture might be from last year, huh? I'm in denial for Christmas. Gotta have Turkey Day first! Love the QM Magazines! Thanks for the Giveaway
