I hope the New Zealanders and Aussies are up and at it and tuning in tonight. My apologies to the Brits & Europeans…I’ve just not been home of a weekend afternoon. IN fact, I don’t remember the last Saturday or Sunday that I actually was HOME to do Quilt-Cam!
Here's my set up, you, Bertie the cat on two quilts ready for binding and my lovely new 99k, I'm working on sisters choice 9 patches along with dark squares for the leader/ender challenge!
Great to see you here in the afternoon in New Zealand!
It’s been a very busy summer with loads of travel, gone for long periods, home for a day in between and off again.
I know the time for Quilt-Cam has been lacking, but I have not been slacking! It’s just one of those things that I can’t do from the road, so we stick it in here when we can.
I cleaned up the studio a bit in preparation for sewing at the treadle machine tonight. TWO crumb/string projects are hogging all the horizontal surfaces..
There is THIS ONE…the brings to mind the greens of Ireland:
Lovely string blocks in shades of green…every green I can think of!
And then, yes…there are STILL these:
These are trimmed and ready to be de-papered and sewn together.
My current mess is waiting!
I flipped a coin! I didn’t know which one to work on tonight, but the crumb strips won. If you have a long languishing project..maybe this means you need to keep working on it too, instead of getting distracted by something NEW!
Let’s sew….I’m firing up the webcam! Click the arrow on the screen below to start the feed!

Hi Bonnie I am so glad I made it tonight, thanks for having it tonight, I haven't quilted all week and needed someone to get me going :)
How nice to see you at home and rested up! I am hand-hemming the binding on my Easy Street which I did in all Civil War reproductions and it looks awesome! It is very large; mine came out 96 by 99 and I have NO IDEA why it is not square, LOL! Thanks Bonnie for a great pattern!
hi Bonnie...quilting my Crumb blocks along with you tonight. Getting a lot of comments from the photo I posted and you shared earlier on Facebook. You are going to have a LOT of new Crumb block converts!! lol Thanks for posting about Victoria as it is my favorite city and will move there one day. My daughter lives there now and is always rubbing it in about how nice it is there compared to northern Alberta.
For some reason my nook is not supporting you tonight. In the past when I had this issue I could watch you on you tube but tonight I am only getting sound and you are garbled. I am bummed tonight as I was so looking forward to quilt cam.

Hi Bonnie,
I like your other web cam better this one is snowy and making weird sounds~~~ I'm been cutting out 2 1/2 squares from old materials that my mom had back in the 70's haven't made up my mind how to really put it together ......thanks Debbie Myatt Arnold
I am using the easy angle as you suggest, and hoping to get some of my Chippie stars ready for a Christmas present (early) for my sister and her grandkids
I don't have a scrappy project, but I am working on ten minute blocks. I am waiting on my Midwinter Reds fabric to cut my blocks for the Oklahoma Backroads class in October.

My internet with you keeps going in and out ( But I am starting on a new quilt tonight. I finished my other quilt a few weeks ago and hadn't started another one yet. I am making one of Kay Woods 6 hour quilts but they take me over a week to make lol.
Have missed ya a lot ... had foot surgery end of May and have been quarantined. Have had to wait til I got thru 2 casts and a walking boot til I could sew and am working the foot pedal with my left foot.
I am working on a Mariner's Compass for a graduation quilt for my cousin's eldest who graduated HS in May ~~ it's a very happy quilt. Have to finish my 1st border, and then the final one .. woo hoo ~~
Great to see you !!

Hi Bonnie.
This is first time here and listing to you. I'm From DE.
Hi Bonnie,
Thanks for quilt cam tonight! Looks like you really had fun on your trip. I'm sewing string blocks together tonight in East Texas on my Featherweight (Emma Grace).
Tonight I'm trying to crochet a square for an afghan I want to make my sister for Christmas. Been a long time since I crocheted and I need the calmness of quilt cam so I don't pull my hair out.

Bonnie, I have a bunch of different size triangle fabric scraps that were made by my mother. I think she was going to make a quilt using 1000 pyramids pattern. My question is would you use paper as a stabilizer for sewing or should I use a different pattern. You have inspired me to do something with these scraps.
Not sure what is going on, but first there was no sound, now just a black screen with an error message. =( Was looking forward to quilt cam.
Oh no! I have lost you! I'm on a tablet so hope it's only me and not everyone else. That's ok, I' ll just continue sewing my red, white, and blue patches. Thanks for sharing so much with all of us quilters! Love from Michigan!
Bonnie.webcam is not working i step out and came back there a error occurred please try again later.
Hi Bonnie, it's Mary in Canada. I'm crumbing along tonight on my new-to-me 1927 Singer 66 treadle. Using the crumb strips to make the centre blocks for the Star Splitter by Victoria Wolf in the Quiltmaker issue with the first clue of your mystery
Come back we lost you!!!
Hi Bonnie... Nellie from Omaha here! Working on some memory teddy bears for a gal who lost her sister. Was wondering about leaders/Enders and what they are.
Bonnie... Do I have bad breath?? You left us!
I'm so thrilled you're back tonight. I'm finishing up my sashing on a twin size quilt for my cousin who is in Afghanistan, sending it off to the LA'er on Friday.
I am also so terribly happy I will be seeing you in Tucson in 2014 at the Tucson Quilter's Guild - can't wait!
Love your shamrock mug :D
Cheers!

Are those shamrocks? The picture is not as clear as normal, tonight.
Lost you. You Tube is not working and I get an error message on your blog page.
Thanks for Quilt Cam. I missed you. Loved you keeping us all in the loop about your trip. Thought I'd let you know that the cam picture is coming through great, but sound is fuzzy/garbled.
By the way, your hair is lookin' good! LOL
I really want to see a picture of your Easy Street. I just checked your blog but couldn't see it. mine is still on my design wall awaiting the setting triangle portions. I'm wondering if I should do it quilt as you go. I know it would change the design a bit but a seriously thinking about it.
I use a light weight batiste as my base for strings rather than the phone book. No paper to pull off, no mess, and I have a sturdy piece to cut and hide all the seams.
QuiltCam was great!
Thanks for quilt cam, watched later:) Love the green strip sets, not usually a fan of green but these look great. Julie
