Bonnie,
I have seen the pictures people have sent you with their cats and their quilts and wanted to share my cats and quilts with you.
I am doing several bed turnings at the Baytown Quilt Guild quilt show in Baytown, Texas this coming Friday and Saturday with my vintage quilts. I pulled the quilts last week and placed them on the dining room table in preparation. My cats Puma (to the left) and Hunter (on the right) decided these were their new beds. They will be disappointed when I pack up the quilts to take them with me this Thursday for set up. They will have to find a new place for naps. :-)
Look forward to seeing you on the trip to Ireland in June. LindaIRELAND! JUNE!! That is just a few weeks away! I can hardly wait!
But for now....there are two nephews to be still needing baby quilts!
Back to the
I had set the blocks 3 X 4 …and I just am not as satisfied with a long skinny quilt as I would be with a square one, so tonight I’m adding another row to the width on both quilts to make them 4 X 4 in layout!
There is no shortage of leader/ender 9 patches in this bin….so pulling another 32 blocks was not a problem at all, and I quickly cut some more sashings to go with each.
It’s not exciting, but necessary! I’ll be happier if these quilts are bigger and square than I am narrow and skinny….so let’s get down to it!
Let’s Sew!

So happy to be joining quilt cam! Gonna work on wild and goosey! :) So glad you are home for a minute and can sew with us!
Hi Bonnie, I'm in FT Worth Tx on a work trip. I have some appliqué to work on. Hugs
Sound just kicked I in :-)
I'm here! My first live Quilt Cam! I'm getting the living room picked up. Next time the it should be ready so I can do "something" related to fabric - quilting or garment sewing.
Welcome home! Still working on 1/4" hexies. Just got back from Guild with the lecture on Vintage Quilts.
I'm so inspired by your "dancing" quilts. I'm working on a 9 patch I spy quilt, and decided to do it the same way as your baby quilts. When finished, I'll send you a picture.
I'm doing more froggin' on one of my Projects from the Block Party in March. My hand has hurt ever since I got home from it. TOO MUCH Rotary Cutting that week-end. Thanks for showing us how to cut with the line of the ruler showing on the fabric. I'm sold on the Easy Angle Ruler. Can't watch for long, I have a Knitting Guild Mtg to go to in an hour. Glad to see you though.
Hi Bonnie! It's good to see you on quilt cam. I was working on basting some applique pieces but am taking a break now. I know one of the quilts on your long arm is for the retreat, what is the other one?
Glad to join you this evening! I need to get one of those lights!!!
Friday's weather for Queensbury NY is supposed to be a bit of rain, but fairly warm! Looking forward to doing Charlottes Basket!

Hi Bonnie - I'm working on getting applique and hexies ready for trip back out to SF on the weekend...if still blurry, might be focal distance (if camera got bumped forward or back?) Glad to actually catch you tonight!
Hi Bonnie, Love quilt cam. It is blurry for me also. It seems to be blurry on YouTube, at least for me. But I just deal with it since you are so kind to do this for us. Joyce in Maryland.
Working on a baby quilt that is far more complicated than it needs to be. I'm taking a page from your book and making simple ones in the future.
Hi Bonnie, good to see you on quilt cam again, sewing along with you I always great, no matter if it's blurry or not, I'm working on a fall wall hanging that's all 1/2 square triangles, so I'm going to be squaring up 128 of them tonight.
Gwen in Sask.
You are coming in loud and clear here in Ontario Canada!
So happy to hear you are safely home and can have some quiltcam time!
Enjoy your piecing.
I am doing some relaxing hand quilting tonight while listening.
What a nice surprise. I'm in Brooksville,Florida making old fashion little dress clothes pin bags. Do so love having someone to sew with.
Oh my goodness! Everyone stop complaining and relax. Bonnie, just sew and talk. Thanks for all you do! I'm taking a break from cleaning my sewing room and making red string blocks.
"Blue haired" Daisy from Louisiana!
Coming in all clear in Washington State.
Am working on prepping my new leader Enders project. Three inch finished churn dash blocks. They are too stinkin' cute!
Working on HST's for Lazy Sunday here in MN. Enjoy sewing with you and everyone else through Quilt Cam.
Thoughts and prayers for your son, it is hard when they live away, hope they figure it out!
I'm sitting in my super soft minkee robe I made years ago. Tired from spading the garden. Too pooped to quilt. I'm matching up and pinning string pieced squares to sew later. Love quilt cam!

Sewing some X blocks together with you, Bonnie.
Love reading about your trip to Maine! What a beautiful state...making beautiful quilts :-)
Watching you from hot, central Washington where it's 94! No sewing going on here as I'm still unpacking from our recent move. I'm still looking for the box that has all my Winston Ways pieces from Portland. Meanwhile Arlo says its dinner time and I think I'm going to make a fruit smoothie for dinner.......
Hi Bonnie. Sewing wonky star blocks with you today. Happy to see you again for quilt cam. I use this time to slack off work during the day and have some me time also. From Fiona in overcast and cool Queensland Australia. Also love hearing all the weather reports from around the world., so cool. Thank you for sharing and safe travels
Thank you for sharing. Am working on combining a star block with a free form section that (theoretically) should go across pillow section....to help you dream... about the ocean/beach so name of quilt is "dreaming of the beach". Thanks again for everyone's company.
Bonnie, I'm a NC transplant from upstate NY, about an hour south of Glens Falls. Please say hello to my friends and family ... I don't miss the weather, but do miss the people! I've missed a few quilt cams, but am back watching and learning! Thanks for all you do.

P.S.... LOVE piano keys! :-)
I like the idea of HST, prairie points would b fun as well :) I haven't been online much today so boy was I surprised when I logged on and here is quilt cam, best surprise Ever!!! Thanks so much for fitting it in with the time you have home. Mal
Really want to make a Hexie quilt. Working on Dresden plate quilt now
Seeing a work-in-process as part of a trunk show would be as interesting as a finished quilt. Also inspirational.... thanks for your quilt cams.
no opinion on the border that is. Jo Anna
Works in progress would be wonderful. I vote piano keys.

Hi Bonnie
I'm cutting scraps up into 2 1/2" strips and squares tonight and really appreciate the company because this isn't my favorite thing to do!
How about a checkerboard border on the baby quilts?!
I vote for half square triangle border. I would love to see a quilt being hand quilted in process during a trunk show. By the way, my 401 Q had a great addition today. Probably better than my money in a regular 401 K.
one block wonder OBW
However, half square triangles would add another texture in a way. Hope to see you in Ottawa, IL. Will try to bring what I have done on Easy Street.
Love,
Ann Mary in IL
Sew wish I could see you I have missed quilt cam. Sew far I get a blue lego block with a ? Mark. My phone has been updated recently sew will keep trying love all you do.
I love my Sew Adjustable Table so much!!! I plan to get the table for my Featherweight, too--maybe for Mother's Day????
You're not blurry, it's 'soft focus.' Thank you for all that you do. Love it all.
quilt the king-size orphan quilt!!!! It's been waiting longer... I'd love to see a trunk show with some works in progress... having fun sewing along with you.
I wanted to let you know how much I love all of your patterns and I appreciate that so many of them are given away freely. I wanted to show you my version of your Story-Time Stars. My nephew loved it and I had a blast picking out all of the different prints for it.

Thanks, now I need to get back to finishing my pineapple blossoms. I was sorry to miss your last class, but hopefully I will catch the next one when you are close.
Thanks again, Alice
love the pic of Linda's kitties! the one on the right looks just like my Elijah, who also has to test and approve each quilt i make.
take care of yourself, and hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day this Sunday.
Thanks for sharing about the plexiglass sewing table tonight. I've been thinking about getting one and this would be perfect for my different machines!
I've been watching the quilt cams backwards (newest to oldest) as I quilt through my wip as I clean my studio!
Thanks, you're company as I clean and sew.
Lynn
