I really want to get these bow-tie blocks together, but this is the part that drags on and drags on for me. I'm just sewing them into 9 patches.
Do you have some handwork to bring? Come sit and stitch and chat a bit!
Tomorrow I've got to head out to South Carolina, I've got a workshop in Aiken on Saturday, so I won't be on very late tonight. I still have to pack the car!
I'm going to leave the QuiltCam up for about an hour or so----
*Note* If it says OFFLINE below -- you missed it! It's live streaming, not a recording, so you can't play it back like re-runs, you'll just have to join us next time!

Hi bonnie Lisa form ohio
Hi Bonnie, Soscrappy from sunny Florida checking in. Was going to call it an early night, but now that I see you sewing, I am inspired to iron some new fabric and get some cutting done for my Hawaii Sunset quilt. Thanks for kicking me into gear tonight.
hi Bonnie T.from Va. What scissors did you take to Bali and did you have any problems getting them back in the country?
what music is playing. I like it
Hello Bonnie.. you are on the sewing machine, I will do my hand quilting on a table runner.
Hi Bonnie, first time I have been able to catch your live stream! Awesome!
Serina from Everywhere......
Thank you for the 'binding' tip - using the ladder stitch...I LOVE IT! Of course, it's taking me a little longer this way - I keep stopping and looking for the stitches - you are RIGHT - You Can NOT See them! LOL

On your spool are you cutting and saving or throwing away the extra
Hi Bonnie! it's Judy from Northern Alberta Canada! Did you get my message about colors used in hexies? How many of each colorway?
Di in TN: Hi Bonnie! Didn't realize you were on, but just checked in - just in case. Did you find the fabric with sewing machines?
Bonnie- thanks for the shout out! I am in Vernal, UT, headed back to Ohio tomorrow! I'm working on my hand quilting tonight on my sons Hanui Quilt while I watch and listen!
Serina
Hey girl... welcome home... good to 'see' you again...
Stitching a binding down. It's nice to have you as company. Hubby is hunting...Liz in SC
Are you sure you didn't go to a Physical Therapist in Flower Mound, Texas? Sounds exactly like my first experience with a Physical Therapist yesterday. Loving your Live Stream! Praying for your healing.
Hi Bonnie - welcome back - tell me about your thread - where do you get those spools and what type and weight do you use?
you don't clip the pieces apart before you sew the next ones to it?
Hi Bonnie. Watching you on the quilt cam and deboning men's shirts. They will be used in a donation quilt benefiting Meals on Wheels. Enjoy your books and your blog. Miriam in Texas.
Hi Bonnie! So glad I caught you. Love love love all your quilts and blog! Jo Anna
Hey Bonnie! (waving from KS), I'm doing my hour of handwork (hand embroidery) for today with you. Earlier today I finished the binding and labeled my RRCB! Woo hoo! Thanks for another great mystery. :) I hope your leg/back pain gets better soon!
Just finished sewing all my border flying geese for my red 'Talkin Turkey. Just love this quilt pattern from your book String Fling!!!! Maybe I'll be able to finish it this weekend. Having too much fun sewing with you..

I listen to books when I machine or hand sew (unless of course You are on QuiltCam..ha)...it's a treat to catch up on my 'reading' this way
I am so loving this,,, learning lots.... how fast your blocks went, I will have to try that when I do mine,,, love your blog too,,,, have great weekend.
Hugs;
Alaura
Hi Bonnie,I listen to audio books while I sew. Some of my quilts I even identify by the book I listened to while I made it. LOL.
BTW, I went to Ireland this past June for the quilt show and tour. You are going to love it! It was so wonderful and so GREEN!
I love to listen to Piano Guys while I sew. They are awesome! All instrumental and very lively. Great for inspiration while working at the longarm machine
I "watch" TV while sewing. I'm a great fan of Law & Order and Criminal Minds. Hubby says he's seen that episode before... my reply "naaaaaaaaaahhh", I've never seen it before! LOL. Love watching you "work", Bonnie and am happy to hear your thought process to boot. Thanks for sharing all you do!!!
Hiya, Bonnie! My name is Katie,I'm 14, and My Mother quilts ALL THE TIME! And she watches her favorite shows while quilting. I am into hand-sewing little Flowers, And i enjoy watching your blog. Love ya!
wow...first time I've got to watch one of your episodes!!! Woo hoo~
Well, that was weird. Your live stream burped and then you were sewing in your nearly insane quilt, and then a demo of the spool block, and then back to bowties.
I agree on the aurifil thread - love it. And yes i def. have the eternal paisley fabric. I find a piece of millenium fabric now and then and think of you...is that a DQ - so lucky - we don't have many of those in CT.
Hi Bonnie from Melbourne, Aus.
yippee... i finnally found you ... and you are live...
what fun.... have a great eve....

I will be sewing this evening also, my hubby will be hunting caribou. Thanks for inspiring us to sew!
Bonnie I love your little bowties. That cheddar just sparkles.
So I want to be able to talk back! :D
No ads on Safari! Thanks, Bonnie, for letting us in on your sewing time!
i did my spool scrappy and somebody said it looked like a butterfly...
Hi Bonnie, did you check to see if my blog posted correctly. Wasn't sure because it had a red x beside it. It was #39
Still trying to figure this blog business out. Thanks Ramona from Maine
DI IN TN: Just e-mailed you link to the sewing machine fabric. :) Off to eat dinner...
Bonnie,
Thanks for the sewing cam.
I have a question about your table height...if my machine is on a regular 30" table my arms get tired,so how do you compensate for the extra height you have there?
Second, CHANGE therapist quickly. I've been going to a wonderful guy for a year and he never question the pain, just tries to remove it.
Doing my hand sewing with Baptist fans! My first try at free hand quilting, and loving it!
Hi Bonnie, I'm thinking about buying an ipad. Can I watch you on it?
Hi Bonnie! Thank you for your posts on FaceBook. I feel like I have an extra friend out there. I tend to sit highter. I use a shorter par stool with my table (a drawing board from Ikea) set at the hightest height... the peddle works fine and I can lean myself just off the chair.
FYI, I know my linky worked because I've gotten a comment. A little red x shows to the left of my name. I think it is so the person who does the link can delete their own if they want to. Hope this helps.
I have Adblock Plus installed with Firefox browser and I don't get ads at all.
I've been wondering if you finished you bowties and I missed it. I can't watch, slow internet connection here...but hope to catch you someday...
YES...I can see your post on Bonnie's page. I wondered about the red X too (I do not see it on yours)...I could see it on my post...I clicked on it to see what would happen - and it's just there so YOU can remove your OWN post ~ Bonnie I hope you read this too...
Bonnie -
HaHaHa, I am watching you and sewing on a crib quilt! My group donates them to the NICU at Children's Hospital in Knoxville, and I try to make one a month for that project. It is a great way to try a new technique or to use up a few fat quarters.
I think I have some of that calico you just showed. I suspect it was given to me by one of my friends.

Bonnie - no way is this quilt boring. You've put together 4/5 blocks, drunk some of your chocolate milkshake, taught me what leaders & enders are, talked to all of us & remembered to breathe lol. I'm having fun watching this. It's 11am on Friday morning in Melbourne, Aus. Thanks for the fun!!
Hi Bonnie, a quilt shop owner told me hat if you spray your quilt first with spray starch and then use those friction pens that it won't com back at alater date. I have not tried it. Joyce
Hi Bonnie,
Will the Ireland and Alaska Cruise be similar to the Bali Trip.
Marjorie
TY = total inspiration!!!! Now get some rest!
Hi Bonnie, caught your last half hour and enjoyed your comments on everything! You are better than cable TV! I have started kitting the spools and was a little tense with myself as I didn't think the fabric was "right", but after a bit I just picked from the top. Feels freer somehow and better for me. Have a great class and family time this weekend. Hope to see you up and running - webcam- next week! Thank again.
Cathy from BC Canada
I missed you this time, but will see you tomorrow at dinner. Looking forward to the Smith Mountain workshop on Saturday. Safe travels!
thanks, new to this and wasn't sure.
Looks like you were on around 8pm EDT. Need to see if I can get wifi on the bus home. Really great that hubby does all the cooking!! Guessing if can hit the last 1/2hr or so, treat myself any way I can. Looking forward to Alaska.

Enjoyed warching tonight, i tuned in late, but in reading the comments i learned you too use the ladder stitch to bind! Yipee! I love the confirmation that my method is a good way to bind.
Btw, you must be a time Lord, Dr. QuiltWho. I ordered your newest book in the wee hours of the AM Tuesday 9/4, and it arrived today. Thanks, i've been pouring over it. Love it.... Thanks for signing it too. Have a great weekend! B
Those little Hexies are sooo cute. They put a new meaning to "Scrappy". I would love to receive the book to go along with my new Hexie Cutter I just won on EBay. Talk about a challenge for me. Bring it on.
Thank You for the opportunity to enter the drawing.
