I am laughing at the possible names for my Gretchen block quilt -
The best one of all - but one I won't use though I'm still laughing - Fetchin' Gretchen!
Only because the name takes me to my Dear Jane days where the Dear was relative and interchangeable with things like Dang, Dastardly, Dumb, Dipsh*t and many times found myself saying "That (*&(*& Jane Block!"
I can see "Fetchin' Gretchen" being turned into FLIPPING Gretchen and worse with other F words...LOL!
I haven't counted the number of pieces in this quilt. I never do. I just sew it until it is done. Piece count does not give you bonus points.
But by nature there are a LOT of pieces in this quilt, and though the piecing is easy for those who love paper piecing the way I do, it's going to take some time and may resort to some name calling during the process.
But I can at least now say that borders are ON!
And things lined up just fine, and framed the quilt just the way I had hoped!
I love this corner turn!
Getting that last border side on there!
Yes, even the Bumble Bear made it in!
This quilt has EVERYTHING!
Happy Happy Happy!

Lovely Easter post! Amongst all the gruesome things going on in the world, I so enjoy the happy go lucky productive nature of your messages. Thank you, thank you.
Happy Easter!! Tell Tula that Lucky 2.0 and Jamie Fraser wish her a Happy Easter
Omigosh, Bonnie, I'm cracking up over Fetchin' Gretchen! Love the way the border frames the Gretchen blocks. Kathy M
Your Gretchen quilt is beautiful. Looking forward to seeing your purple pieced back
This quilt is spectacular!
Slow progress with Flash is encouraging. I had a cat that wasn’t feral but had been abused. It took her 9 years before she purred. . I had her for 19 years.
Hazel has become a real companion- what a love! And your blog is yours to express your feelings & opinions. People should keep their negative reactions to themselves.
With every quilt you make I think, "this is my favorite!" This quilt is my new favorite. It's on my list to purchase when you release the pattern. I still can't figure out how you think of the perfect pieced borders for your quilts. Yvonne
Good Morning Bonnie. I wasn't sure about the Gretchen quilt at first. Now with the borders on it looks fantastic. My first thought was it looks like a basket of candies. You just want to sort through them and find something special. Looking at all the pieces and finding bumble bear is kind of the same thing. Also grabbing up all your ducks and making a break for it sounds about right. Hope you have a Happy Easter and enjoy the day. Brenda Jackson
Love the border for the Gretchen top!
Gretchen is truly magnificent. Truly!❤️
Happy Easter!!
Bonnie, that is the ultimate on scrap quilting....just fabulous! 😻
Love your Gretchen quilt! Can’t wait for the pattern release, maybe late summer. Yay!
Oh. My. Word. I hadn't been able to figure out how those blocks were going to make a border, but they are P.E.R.F.E.C.T. Absolutely gorgeous top, Bonnie!
I love this Gretchen quilt. It looks like a Birthday Cake. Yummy.
Same here! I couldn't visualize how the borders would look. Definitely a Wow!
I love the Gretchen quilt. I don’t have your imagination. I would’ve just used a solid color for the border. How boring mine would’ve been if I did that. I think you should name the quilt after your four leg Family. If you adopt any anymore, you’re going to need a GoFundMe page. Happy Easter to you and yours.
It's STUNNING!! I think you should call it I Spy Gretchen!
Gretchen is a Scraptabulous quilt! The border finished it beautifully. Your patience and perseverence is paying off with Flash. His split colored nose is so cute!
