Pieceful Hearts Finale!

In an attempt to grab an afternoon with sunshine, in between bursts of rain, we wandered out to the porch late on a Sunday afternoon to get what over-the-porch-rail photos that we could to share all of the wonderful things made by this amazing group of ladies.

Some finished quilts were brought for beds and slept under while on retreat. (I love popping into bedrooms and seeing what is on the beds!) Some mostly finished tops were brought out in the state they were in and later finished with one more full day of retreat left to go.

There were projects in progress that would take more time, both large and small - but it's about PROGRESS, not the finished item, right? All are worthy to be celebrated.

A favorite and washed until soft Bow Tie quilt from the bed followed by two almost completed tops (and take a good look at the bags from the bag making class!)

The top on the left I'm not sure of the name/designer. If you know, please leave it in the comments below.

The one on the right is this one:

Jelly Roll Friendly! And I am a big fan of off-set settings.

Another cluster of retreat projects!

The buffalo plaid table topper was from Riley Blake table topper of the month in 2022. I don't have info on the batik sampler, but it's beautiful! And the sampler on the far right was one that was brought to sleep under!  Wowsers!

And another cute bag finish at the far right on the rail.

The Maple leave quilt top and the Hive quilt top were finished this week on retreat.

Hive from Modern Quilt Studio for anyone looking for the pattern.

The lovely checkerboard quilt was brought for sleeping - Someone was working on this a few retreats ago and I had the pattern source then, but can't find it.  If you know - put it in the comments below!

More top finishes and I think the purple/orange/aqua is shimmering triangles or something? Help a girl out here please!

Ille has worked diligently on her woolly this week, and her stitching is incredible!

At the far right is a Confetti quilt top. it's one of those cute cards you can pick up at the quilt shop with the quilt recipe on the back.

Whooohooo!  We have a Straits of Mackinac finish from String Frenzy!  This lovely quilt was brought to sleep under.  It's gorgeous!

I don't have a source for the center quilt, but so cute!

The quilt top at the far right was finished during retreat, just in time for photo-taking. It's called Intertwine by Elise Lea. It’s available free on the Robert Kaufman website.

All of the completed bags from the weekend workshop!

The weekend workshop of the "Three Peas In A Pad" bags  produced some wonderful finishes!

The pattern/tutorial can be found HERE.

And while over-the-porch rail photos may have been taken, that didn't stop the quilters from starting NEW projects!

I walked in to find this one taking over the design wall space and turning the corner...oooh fun!

And on another wall, one in purple!  What is this?

It's called Bloom or Bust and it looks like the challenge from opposite sides of the room is on!

(And pay no attention to the bandage on my hand...I fought a battle with a hot frying pan and lost. *sigh*)

Cute little star runner!

And another bag of another kind in the making!

I shared this yesterday, promising to get a photo of the thread painting from the back.

Look at this magic!

I love that we have quilters who enjoy doing so many different kinds of quilts and techniques.  Wow!

Cute charm pack quilt in progress!

Diving into some amazing paper piecing.

And more amazing paper piecing!

A few of our group had to head out yesterday afternoon leaving us with 9.  It's amazing how much quieter things are when you are just missing a few.  Their being gone could be felt.  It was palpable!

This morning everyone else is headed out on their long drives back to South Carolina/Georgia.

It was a wonderful week, and we'll see them back here next year!

Today for me:  Laundry, of course! And flipping the house to get it ready for our next arrivals.

The July Quiltvillians will be here on Wednesday!

Quiltville Quote of the Day -

If there's one thing I've learned, it's not "if" I will stumble - it's when!

These little turns and plot twists are what make life interesting.

When you stumble make it the best part of the dance!

Rockabilly Swing PDF pattern available in the Quiltville Store.

Have a terrific Tuesday, everyone!

Oh. My. Goodness! I'm sitting at my computer in awe at all the beautiful quilts and projects. Such talented ladies. The back of the thread painting and the FPP project keep me going back to look again. The bags are adorable and when I looked at the pattern I was pulled right in. Thanks for the link to the pattern. Happy Tuesday, Jenny

Started and dont know where the post went- sigh.... but SEW MUCH inspiration in this group!! I didn't notice the off set on the jelly roll until you mentioned it, and the checkerboard is a gotta make, I haven't done a snails trail in years so HillBillySwing is going on the list as well!! Thank you Bonnie!

The sampler quilt that Bonnie commented Wowsers looks like Long Time Gone by Jen Kingwell.

I love the back of the sunflowers. It's more striking than the front. Double sided if you will. Could be hung either way.

Agree with other comments: great batch of quilts and I do appreciate all Bonnie puts into the over-the-rail photos that we all enjoy so much, thank you! If anyone knows the pattern name/designer of the quilt between the BowTie and Color Pop (it is a mixture of pieced and unpieced squares with sashings, maybe uses a layer cake?), I'd really appreciate it if you could share that. Much obliged!

Bonnie, I think we need to wrap you in quilt binding and set you in a corner.
