And yes, Forest Jane has added items to the Old Town category of Forest Jane's Quiltville Zazzle Store! Proceeds from Zazzle Store purchases to toward supplies for the free sewing and crafting workshops Jane presents at her local library. It's good people helping good people.
So many fun goodies!
And I always get a kick out of some random hunky guy wearing a tee shirt with our mystery logo on it. LOL!
I wrote this post in 2019 showing photos and the story behind how this came to be. And then 2020 happened and Covid cancelled EVERYTHING for a time. And now - it's time to ramp things back up again.
If ordering the mug, be sure to check out the menu to the right of the page where you can choose your size (I like the 15oz as I can the use the large cup setting on my Keurig) and the color you want your handle/inside/style to be.
Upgrading to some options include an upgrade price, and that extra charge is right there so you know what the price difference for your option is.
"The classes are growing by leaps and bounds. I now call it a Sewing Club. I teach two sewing sessions at my library each month, a morning and an afternoon class, and there’s waiting lists for both."
"I’m doing crochet and knitting club also, being asked to do it at different libraries."
"A whole bunch of pictures of us making keychain snap wallets. I accept children as young as 9 if a parent stays with them, teens can get dropped off and come on their own. I love seeing the moms and kids working together!"
"Thanks to Quiltville individuals and my guild in Memphis, I don’t have to worry about fabric for any of the classes. I appreciate anyone who’s mailed yarn or fabric!"
"Having a small fund to draw on from the mystery items means I can provide the “cool stuff” that makes the projects look professional, like colored snaps, zippers, lanyard hardware, key rings, interfacing, etc."
You can also reach Jane by email HERE.
With each purchase you make, you are helping a little girl make her first Kleenex cover, or a mom and daughter learn to make microwave bowls, or some gentlemen make key chains.
At no cost to them. And the blessings are without measure in return.
At no cost to them. And the blessings are without measure in return.
SO please, grab your Quiltville Old Town goodies and know that you are doing something GOOD by sharing the love of creativity with others.
What's up for me today? Retreats resume starting Wednesday!
I've got stuff to do to get ready at the inn...and the sewing machine is beckoning.
I'm ready to start this week. Are you?
This made me giggle after my recent lost suitcase debacle and how I was on pins and needles just hoping it would arrive intact with all of my fabric goodies within.
Hello, Monday - let's go.

Nice give away! Love the pattern and the blues!! Joni Everson
Hi Bonnie, you have an exciting life. Your teaching to future sewers or quilters is definitely pay it forward. Even more significant is teaching in your area that probably has storm damage.
I've been following you since I first started quilting in the 90s. Your designs, insights, recommendations, and fabulous content are always a pleasure! I look forward to your mysteries. I hope to meet you someday in person. Keep it coming, Bonnie!~
As the years pass, I am thinking getting the pdf booklet is a good investment after making so many in the Mystery format. It really would be simpler for my aging brain. LOL
How is it up to 20 mysteries so far?! My 4th ever quilt was Celtic Solstice when it came out, and did it in 2 different color ways. I am still wanting to go back and do it in the original version! I always love it when mystery season comes around. This is the first one that I did exactly as written and stayed up with the clues! I am excited to see what comes out of the retreaters this week! It's back to work this week. Hopefully it won't be too terrible! :) Hopefully you'll get your sewing time soon!
I believe the teaching is by her friend Forrest Jane who does the Logo on the items for sale.
A lovely quilt block - bright and colourful.
Bonnie, I am so glad to have been following you on your journey! It has been several years now and what drew me to you was your creativeness with using scraps & shirts. One of my favorite videos was "De-boning a Shirt". Thank you for sharing your talents with us!! Wishing you nothing but great blessings.
