How fast can a week fly by?
I'd like to slow it down a bit!
I tell you, we filled every day of the past week full with quilting, porch time, hikes and more.
And it still flew by too fast. Once a year is not enough to see these ladies!
Our Illinois Contingency left last night to get a jump start on their long drive home. The remainder will be heading south to North Augusta, SC this morning.

I love this group of women - these are the ladies who were here when the tree swing fell leaving me with a broken nose and a broken foot 2 years ago. And it's been enough time that we can now laugh about it.
But the nurses in the bunch were there for me when I needed them - and I'll never forget it.

The middle quilt of the three that were unknown is Stained Glass Quilt, a free pattern on Freespirits website using Tula Pink fabrics.
Your mom's hexie quilt is AMAZING! What a treasure, and what a labor of love. I enjoyed seeing some of the fabrics in the close-up shots.
I like that Radicchio pattern, too. It's been on my "buy next" list for a while.
Do you (or any readers who see this comment) have any tips for quilting an EPP quilt on the longarm? Anything that you have to do differently than a machine pieced patchwork quilt? Any pitfalls to avoid? I'll be ready to longarm my first finished EPP project very soon (hand-guided, not computer) and I'm a little intimidated.

I love the porch rail photos! I always enjoy seeing the different styles. The bags were too cute! Also, your mom's quilt is fabulous! What a great way to collaborate talents. I am excited for the new pattern coming out! Today we are cooking for my oldest daughter before she heads back home tomorrow, & I am putting another small Happy scrappy top together to quilt this week. Happy quilting!
