Quilting Up Ditch Lilies!

You just had to know that I couldn't leave this alone for the weekend.

Ditch Lilies got quilted up all nice and pretty!

Small quilts quilt up so quickly! (Okay, not that small - it's about 55'' square, but that's all relative, right?)

I had the weekend mostly to myself - there wasn't a retreat this past weekend and I could just put my Pandora music on shuffle and just go with it.

It was also crazily cold - which gave me another reason to stay in and not go anywhere.

Out of the "Lesser-loved" backing bin.  LOL!

I'm happy to say this is the last of that brown toile that has been in the stash forever.  

There wasn't enough to keep it all once fabric - I had to insert a piece of another "please go away!" print in there, and then that far right column has the people in the toile going sideways - 

That's the problem with toile!  There is no way to NOT cut off someone's head - and it is so directional.

I hope it gives someone a chuckle 50 years from now.

Ditch Lilies experienced a bit of quilting-interruptus as we did head to town mid afternoon to get the much needed groceries.
However - Hubster Dave had cornhole on Saturday evening so I was back in the studio to finish up that last row of quilting and was able to get the binding, sleeve and label prepped.

And yes- The PDF pattern for Ditch Lilies includes this smaller version telling you how many of each block to make.

Now that's some pretty quilting texture!

Sew Q Laser shining brightly making joining binding ends on the diagonal a super easy and successful job!  I love this thing!

The only sad thing?  I still have a couple yards of this juniper green tone-on-tone still leftover.

And from this point it waited in the binding queue.  There was one quilt still in front of it that just needed the sleeve and label stitched down:

Square Pegs is now done done done!

The PDF pattern for Square Pegs should be ready later this summer as there are some other things in the line up.

I went back and forth and back and forth on names for this one - I don't generally like to name quilts after food.  Seriously.  But this one fits.  And yes, it would be gorgeous in any color - or all rainbow.

And you KNOW there will be introductory pricing, a gift-away and all that goes with that so stay tuned.

This also continued -

The big rocks from the side yard are now stacked at the edge of the parking area.  This was a big job!

And no more bottles were found - but we are still looking.

So here we are at Monday.  And it's a desk day for me which doesn't sound very exciting at all.
But some things must be done so the quilting can continue.
