Happy Pattern Release Day!
I am so blooming ready to get this one out there to you - it's been a long time waiting!
I tend to flip-flop a bit on projects that catch my fancy.
Sometimes it's scrappy everything - no color control, only contrast between what is foreground and what is background.
Other times - like our July Jacob's Cbain quilt, I pick a color theme and just go with it.
Morning Glories has a little bit of both - more colors involved with strategic placement - a whole ton load of green scraps (So happy to use these!) and a plethora of fun neutrals - just the way I like them!
Morning Glories is completely paper pieced. All straight seams - no curves.
The pattern assumes you have some basic knowledge of foundation paper piecing by machine - but it is so very easy to catch on, and my step-by-step photos will show you the way!
My cutting suggestions include pre-cutting the rectangles needed to cover the skinny bits, and I used an equilateral triangle like the Clearview 60 triangle or the Creative Grids 8 1/2'' 60 degree triangle for pre-cutting the neutral triangles in Template A before piecing.
Pre-cutting saved me many headaches when it comes to paper piecing crazy angles and it keeps fabric waste to a minimum.
Even Lola thinks paper pieced scrap quilts are grand!

But wait - do Morning Glories really come in all of these colors?
Yes, they definitely do!
The pattern includes 11 pages of instruction, 3 back pages of full - page assembly images, and three additional pages of paper foundation templates for easy printing - Templates are printed 4 units per page to save paper.
I recommend either the printable 8 1/2'' X 11'' newsprint found in the Quilting All the Time category of the Quiltville Amazon Affiliate Store.
I also carry the Carol Doak foundation paper in the Quiltville Store.

I quilted Morning Glories with a beige colored thread in an edge-to-edge design called Nemeshe's Feather Grande by Bethanne Nemesh.
I love how airy and light it looks against the quilt!
Can there ever be too many greens? I don't think so!

The finished quilt measures 84'' X 84''.
