All the pretty wildflowers!
I am filled with wonder as I watch nature bloom around us.
What a pretty color palette, don't you agree?
We got out early on Saturday morning to take a walk down Bear Branch road. I was eager to see if we could still smell the scent of wild roses on the breeze -
The clover is a new arrival!
And the wild honeysuckle is taking over as the reigning scent.
The roses are on their last legs -
Petals were falling all around, and one more rain storm or swift wind will have these petals on the ground. A mere touch of my finger had them letting go -
I'm sure glad we got to enjoy them while we did!
The dogs are determined to lead the way!
Is this where a bunny ran up the embankment?
Their noses detected SOMETHING up there.
Just beautiful!
Of course along with all of the hiking and sewing, there have been wonderful meals on the porch!
And more projects up on design walls!
Basket Toss blocks in lovely Civil War era repros!
It is never too early for Halloween sewing!
Double Delight from the Free Patterns tab is looking great!
Tulip Time keeps growing!
There has been time for treadle lessons!
A visit to see Queen Lola at the QPO Studio!
And a raucous round of "Shop Bonnie's Shirt Stash!" in the cellar! LOL!
I think we've got some recycled shirt converts!
I can't wait to see what these become!
Sunday afternoon Featherweight Maintenance class!
We topped the weekend off with Fire Pit Time -
The perfect end to a great weekend.
And it isn't over until it's over.
Today I'm taking some of the gals up to hike along the Appalachian Trail through Grayson Highlands and hopefully encounter some ponies along the way.
With all of the rain we've had this spring it has been several weeks since I've been up there - wish us luck!
How about your own weekend? Did you do anything fun? Did you make any progress on a project?
Quiltville Quote of the Day -
Try removing any of these three from the equation and see how far you get!
They all work together to get us where we are.
Happy Monday, everyone!

This weekend was a good one! Great weather. We gardened, took a 10 mile bike ride, walked (hiked, in our neighborhood!), watched some Tiger baseball. THAT was not quite so good! Today can be a full sew day and I'm looking forward to it. Playing with a few donation quilts right now.
A featherweight maintenance class at retreat is a fabulous idea! Look at all those treasures!
Yes to your 3! Ability Motivation snd and Attitude. Especially Attitude! My weekend was all about Family, no Stitching at Baseball or Graduation. I tried to Do some Hand Quilting in the car, Forgot my Thimble, So I quit after finishing one needle full.
All Stitches Count, Right?
Ready to go into my sewing room and get the fabric out of the boxes that were in storage while my son's family lived here. They came this weekend and got it moved. Happy Monday!!!!!
What a lovely walk! Starts your day nicely.
How generous and good hearted you are to share your recycled shirts. Your one in a million.
Lots of lovely quilts being made too. Love that pumpkin and crow one.
I found the block pattern on Etsy. The shop name is thepatternbasket.
OOH the wild flowers are beautiful. Another name for the wild roses up here in MA is the strawberry rose. That's what my Mom used to call them, and they smell wonderful. Have a great day Bonnie.
