Hanging With The Valley Quilters!

There is oodles and oodles of creativity happening in the Quilting Quarters at Quiltville Inn!

We welcomed the Valley Quilters (That's Shenandoah Valley, Virginia, y'all!) on Wednesday afternoon in the rain -

And they've been sewing up their own storm ever since!

Before I even left for the evening, machines were set up, projects were pulled out and the sewing had begun.

There is no stopping determined quilters on a retreat mission to get as much done as they can while enjoying each other's company.

And since Thursday was St. Paddy's day after all -

Irish Chain Table Runner

For the sewing of the green!

Two quilty friends are working on this kit - one for each.

It's a race to see who will get done first!

Better sew faster - this baby is king sized!

What showed up on the design wall on Thursday -

Was receiving it's last border by the time I headed home for dinner last night!

This is the String X quilt from the Free Patterns tab.  Have you made one?

Grassy Creek is coming together!

Oh so adorable!

There was time on Thursday afternoon for a good walk!

We can't stay in our sewing chairs ALL of the time.

These gals are champs!

And they loved making it to the NC/VA state line!

Halsey House from a distance -

New project under way!

(Long term - it will be a while before I have anything to show for it!)

Here it is - Our Hearts of Hope quilt!

Quilt Size: 56'' X 56''

The biggest thig of all was our kickoff of our Hearts 0f Hope Sew-Along with the introductory post going live Yesterday.  The response has been phenomenal!

And GLOBAL!

I am so excited so many are joining in and making quilts for good causes, whether to raffle and raise funds, or to donate quilts - wherever there is good, you are involved.  That's wonderful.

I even had a quilt friend reach out and offer to translate Hearts of Hope into French and German for us.  Thank you, Elisabeth Kremer!

You'll now find those PDFs linked on each part right underneath the printer friendly link for English.

I've added them to yesterday's introduction post so if you need your introduction in French or German, revisit the post HERE and find your links to save those PDFs.

It takes Elisabeth some time to translate, so those links will be added the day AFTER each part goes live, so look for those translations to be added to the Friday post of the week on Saturdays.

Thank you for your patience on this.  It's taking a global village and I am so grateful for the help in offering our parts in languages other than my own.

Thank you for your continued efforts in donating to our Quilters For Ukraine GoFundMe.

If your guild or group makes our Hearts of Hope quilt - perhaps they can do it as a "donation" quilt (otherwise known as raffle but renamed for those whose laws state they can't say raffle.) with all funds going to our GoFundMe, Quilters For Ukraine.

Instead of purchasing a pattern for Hearts of Hope from me - my own hope is that you will donate as little as $10.00 to Quilters For Ukraine simply because you are participating in this Sew-Along.

Every little bit is helping.  ALL of this will be going directly to Together Rising in their continued efforts to provide real support - boots on the ground support - for the people of Ukraine.

The response on our March '22 PDF pattern releases has been fantastic!  Thank you so much!

The Quiltville Etsy Store has been busy for those who prefer to order from Etsy and like the way that PDF patterns are delivered.

Just remember that you need to download your files through your computer browser after logging in to your account. It doesn't work from the app.

I will slowly as time allows put up other PDF patterns there as well.  Right now there are just the most recent dozen or so.  I have added an Etsy tab to the top of the blog for easy access.

The patterns for Monkey Business and Bear Branch are both marked 25% off in the digital pattern section of the Quiltville Store and the Quiltville Etsy Store.  No coupon needed.

Save even more with the Monkey Business & Bear Branch Pattern Bundle, only available for a limited time, through 3/31/22.

Of course, digital patterns, books, rulers, notions and other goodies as well as PDF patterns are available as always in the Quiltville Store on my website.

Did you enter the gift away yet?

I will be drawing for TWO winners who will each receive the Monkey Business & Bear Branch Pattern Bundle with one winner receiving a Facets of Brown Color Roll, and the second receiving a Facets of Aqua color roll from Cotton to Quilts!

Winner must have fabric prize shipped to a USA address.  If you are outside of the USA, we can send it to a friend within the USA who can forward it on to you.

Head on over to the Gift-Away post and enter to win.

I'll draw for our two winners next Saturday, 3/26/22.

Good luck, everyone!

Quiltville Quote of the Day -

Sometimes plans can be interrupted by stumbles and hiccups and even large roadblocks, but it doesn't have to be the end of the journey!
Santa Fe String Star from my book String Fling.
Have a lovely weekend, everyone!
