SO many blocks were made.
SO much progress on so many projects -
And here is a handful of over-the-rail eye candy to share from the Pieceful Hearts gals of Augusta, GA and North Augusta, SC!
We were making the best use of the threatening cloud cover as it is so helpful in getting good photos without shadow or glare.
Betsy's memory quilt -
What you can't see is that there is a story to every block and patch in this quilt, and those stories and memories are carried out into the quilt - blocks contain the names of loved ones who have passed on, and also words of encouragement and other things that mean a lot to Betsy.
It's one you have to get up close and personal with to really appreciate all that went into it.
Started and finished on retreat!
I always love a good nine patch quilt!
Contrary to popular belief, I really don't know the name of each and every quilt shared here, nor do I know the designers or fabric lines or fabric manufacturers.
I'm just sharing photos, so if you have the info please share it in the comments section below.
BUT BEFORE YOU DO - please READ the comments and see if someone else has already answered the question before you repeat what has been said. Thank you so much for helping out!
My spirit animal - the Sloth!
Only because I wish I could take things more slowly -
What an adorable way to use panels and prints! And that diagonal stripe binding is going to be fantastic!
Siobhan started this when Carolina Crossroads was our VERY FIRST EVER Quiltville Mystery. That was some time between 2003 and 2008. LOL!
Guess what got its borders this week? GREAT FINISH!
I know how hard it is to pull those older things out and find the push to finish them. Now to get it quilted and bound!
There were a couple of other finishes that weren't hung over the rail -
Chunky Churn Dash is found under the Free Patterns Tab. All that needed to be done was some hand stitching of the binding, which was completed in an evening. A feel good finish!
Siobhan also finished this adorable house top for her niece!
Such a happy quilt with so many "I spy" things to discover. I love the scrappy checked border - all from 2 1/2'' squares. Perfect!
Lovely plaid bear's paw!
Recycled shirts were used in this one, and it is a great size for snuggling up to read a book in a favorite chair.
It was a great visit!
Let's do it again!
Everyone was on the road by 10 am - including me who headed toward Winston-Salem for that dermatologist appointment.
Today I am so grateful for my dermatologist. Sounds crazy right?
I missed my appointment last year due to Covid which was a follow-up appointment for a Mohs surgery I had the year prior.
I have been bothered by some growths along my hairline and after the previous basal cell episode I was afraid I'd be coming home with a bunch of frozen off spots at best - and another scheduled surgery at worst.
But even better. All is normal and nothing is cancerous!
If you are like me and behind on your self care - don't put it off. You're peace of mind is worth it!
Next up - Eye doc appointment early August to get me sorted in that department too, and then I believe I'll be on schedule with everything.
Have you started your own Rockabilly Swing adventure? I'd love to see your blocks in progress! Feel free to email me photos of your progress!
Fabrics from 1980s all the way to today -
Scraps in all colors, in every genre and variety.
You cheered me on as I made block after block after block in this adorable size - and watched as it was assembled, quilted, and bound.
And now you can start your OWN Rockabilly Swing journey with my PDF pattern which includes the printable paper foundation template.
The introductory price of Rockabilly Swing has been placed 25% off at $9.00 through July 31, 2021. No coupon code needed.
You can also use 8 1/2'' x 11'' newsprint, though it doesn't like some printers. (I get jams occasionally on mine) It is also available HERE.

We are just about ready for our next retreat group arriving this afternoon. Chris's group is Christmas in July, and they have many fun activities planned, including a Winter Blues workshop that we will be spreading out over the course of several days (instead of 6 hours in one day!) so everyone has a chance to really make some good progress.
It promises to be a fun time!
How are things shaping up for your Wednesday ahead?
Quiltville Quote of the Day -t's a simple formula that will transform your life.
Say it out loud, write it down, think it, feel it, breathe it.
Gratitude.
Come from a place of thankfulness every step you take.
Stop focusing on the problems, focus on the solution.
And the solution is simple.
Gratitude.

Hi Bonnie! I just recently hosted a retreat at Missouri Star with family and friends, and one of our little info moments was my cousin sharing about your leaders and enders! They LOVED it and are looking at all their scraps SO MUCH differently!! Thank you for all you do...it's quilty life changing!! -Julie Brown, Oklahoma
The nine patch quilt looks like 9th and Vine by Corey Yoder. It also looks like its made from her fabric line Pepper and Flax.
Airing of the quilts sounds like an Irish folk song or dance - kind of like the Maypole. Made me smile! Thank you for sharing! Marilyn Marks
I love all the quilts. I also like the quilt behind the quote of the day. Too many quilts, not enough time to sew them.
I really like that bit of green with the red/blue in the Carolina Crossroads. Pretty!
Glad your dermo report was clear!
The first quilt shown (blue with star center) was the 2020 BOM from the National Quilt Museum.
Liked every single pictured quilt. I like your rockabilly swing pattern too. Can't download it tomorrow phone. So I'll wait till better days and get the pattern in hard copy when I get my older tops done.
I am grateful for all the past Quiltcams you have made. But I am sure I am not the only one who hopes you make another soon.
