More Gift-Away Fun - Before March runs out!
My March Quilty Box arrived just before the weekend, and I've had time to unbox it, to pet the fabrics, to read the Bundles of Inspiration Magazine, and DREAM of where all of these beautiful spring toned batiks may end up!
What a great way to send this very weird month of crazy weather into the archives!
And someone - one lucky someone - is also going to win this box!
Here are some highlights to keep in mind:
- Quilty Box is a monthly subscription box of fun quilting supplies. We offer plans from $46-48/mo.
- Each month we have 4 or more products (fabric, patterns, thread, or notions)
- Boxes feature your favorite designers, authors and artisans!
- We will be using the hashtags #QuiltyBox and #GetQuilty
March's featured designer - Karen Gibbs!
You can learn all about Karen and her design process in her article with Bundles of Inspiration Magazine -
And as a SPECIAL for March - there is not only one pattern to go with the gorgeous Northern Lights fabric bundle by Karen and Banyan Batiks, but TWO patterns this month, so you can choose your favorite!
Olivia's Star is vibrant with motion!
Dawn's Glow radiates with color!
Karen's piecing techniques include her template, also included in this month's Quilty Box , along with gorgeous Wonderfil thread, and a fun ColorScope color selector by Cottage Mills.
I love Quilty Box arrival day - it's sunshine and happiness in a box. SEW MUCH FUN!
We will draw for our winner on Monday, April 5th!
Yesterday's IG Quiltfest day 29 prompt:
My house is full of quilts that have at one time been my "favorite" for a season - but we also know the next one down the pipeline may usurp that title of "favorite" as it reaches finished status!
I'm a fickle quilt lover, and I make no apologies!
For those following the continuing saga of "Put it Out!" season - I busted a gut laughing when I pulled up in front of the Quiltville Post Office Studio to find that.....can you guess?
The dishwasher is now gone, and the commode still remains! LOL! Those of you who said "It will be gone in a flash (flush?!?) were WRONG!
But there are still a couple of days left as this week is the "Big Stuff Pick Up" week. And if all they have to haul off is a toilet after all that we put out there, I am feeling fairly successful with "Operation Curb Side."
Other things around here: (Especially for you new ones who just came over to register for the Quilty Box Gift-Away)
TOMORROW is the last day!
This sale is good through Wednesday, March 31st, 2021. The pattern will revert back to full price on Thursday, April 1st, 2021.

This tech set is washable, lightweight, and perfect for travel!
The Microfiber Pouch holds a lightweight, foldable Mouse Mat, Cleaning Cloth, and Mini Cling Screen Cleaner.
The mouse mat is textured and a bit "grippy" on the underside to stay put where you need it.
And you will love the encouraging Quiltville Quotes to keep you going.
Tuesday is laid out beautifully before me - not a cloud in the sky, and though it is chilly - everything has turned IRELAND GREEN seemingly overnight.
Today's plan includes starting in on the piecing of a monstrous backing to go with my Snail's Trail top - photos to be shared TOMORROW!
How about your Tuesday ahead? What's up in your world?
Quiltville Quote of the Day -
Vintage Lemoyne star quilt found in North Carolina.
Tuesday morning full of gratitude.
A year onto this new way of life and it still can feel stressful, overly full of uncertainty - but I am so grateful.

What's up for my Tuesday? My second Covid vaccine shot! Then on to sewing some small PP blocks.
Yes, it has been a year of absolutely crazy. And like you, my life has changed drastically. For the first time since I was 17, I'm home, retired. WOWZER! But, I do love being home Enjoy this spring time, no matter what comes down the rain chain. Thanks for being Bonnie
Your tulip quilt is beautiful!
I’m looking forward to our morning walk, the mountain is out, the sun is shining, the temps are on the rise and all this is so motivating. So after reading this blog and drinking my coffee, it’s back into sewing room to continue cleaning it up......but rethinking all the bags of scrap fabrics that I have ready for donating and create some scrap quilts...that darn rabbit hole.....see where this goes.
Beautiful fabrics in the quilty box! What a great price to win.
Thanks for the chance to win.
I am loving my Quilters Tech set. It is so handy. Rivanna it beautiful, but blue is a favorite with me. Enjoy your daily inspirations. Grateful in where I am now in my life. Have a wonderful day.
Good Morning Bonnie:
I Love today's Quote, and I would Love to win this month's Quilty Box.
We still have several feet of snow, and it is just beginning to melt/sublime, before we go back to colder weather on Thursday. I was able to remove 2 1/2 feet of snow down in front of the greenhouse double french doors, but had to go buy an ice chipper to go down any further, as the snow is hard packed. I still have at least another 2 1/2 feet down to go. It was way above the deadbolt, which is above the door know. NO "Ireland Green" for us for probably another month!
I will be working on my "Trellis" quilt, as soon as I call the computer people to ask where my "fix" is for my windows 10 computer that is less than 2 yrs ols, and died in February! I would much rather be sewing, but need the computer fixed, so I can file taxes, too.

HAHAHAHA!!! Oh, Bonnie!! That poor commode.... someone will come get it. THe whole neighborhood is probably watching it just like you are! I was supposed to go get my 2nd Covid shot this evening after work, but they postponed it due to lack of supplies. I think they are using what they received for the "first-timers". And I'm ok with that. THere is alot going on this week anyway. We had a really good afternoon at school so I will take a win wherever I can get it. My downtime this evening is going to consist of cutting more "H" blocks for L/E's while I sew another quilt top together. These particular projects are going to some special people for their new house! Have a great evening!
Your blog always brightens my morning..its how I start my day..you are such a positive person..a true inspiration day by day and then the quilts as well. We are blessed to have you in our lives..now ..back to tulips..too cold and white outside..lol
How can I send pictures of my "Bonnie projects" to you ?
Today's quote resonated with me. I just finished a book study using Brene Brown's Braving the Wilderness. In there she talks about how important gratitude is - I couldn't find the quote again, but she says that we can only understand other people's loss if we have gratitude for what we have.
I'm so happy to have this hobby, as the world is crazy, still. But here in Norway we hope to have our vaccines by May. Hopefully life will come back to normal, though slowly.
