Yes! There was even time for stitching!
Hi Folks! I returned home from Germany/Austria somewhere around midnight last night, and even considering it took more than 24 hours to get me home from the time my alarm went off in Salzburg at 2am to have the bags out the door by 2:15 am, and on the bus by 3:15am – and on and on and on through 5 airports and many layovers – I am feeling quite chipper today after a night in my own bed!
I love that in amidst all of the touring, the sightseeing, the eating of marvelous cuisine, there was time for stitching with our new found friends and travel companions.
Our project?
Now ready for you to download and make your own!
Digging right in and stitching!
Some preferred to use a hoop -
Some went hoopless!
And all had a great time!
Everyone loved stitching through the Sulky Stick ‘n Stitch. And it is so easy to print your image from the pattern right onto the Stick ‘n Stitch overlay, peel the backing and stick it right to the front of your base fabric.
We used Hemming Chenille Needles in size 24 to do our stitching. I love the larger easy to thread eye.
We all loved the quaint Bavarian décor in our classroom!
I am missing these ladies already!
For the next several days after our evening workshop, quilters could be seen stitching away while on the bus, sitting in the hotel lobby, chatting – enjoying themselves. I even saw stitching happening in the airport on our way home yesterday. I can’t wait to see what they do with their borders!
Up to the hotel rooftop garden for a photo op!
Just a skiff of snow!
That morning fog will burn off into a brilliant blue sky day!
Grab your own copy of Warm Hands, Warm Heart and get stitching!
And yes, it looks great in RED too!
I can’t wait to see this one finished!
And while we are it it:

Love those cute little mittens, sweet little stitch design. So pleased you had such a lovely time, a fitting end to your busy travels this year. Now time for you to have a rest and focus on yourself and family, hope you have a wonderful Christmas. Was fun seeing the thousand pyramids quilt I made this as one of my first ever projects but never knew the name I use mine every day it on my couch.
Thank you you for sharing such wonderful pictures with us.
Love and quilty hugs

Welcome home
Glad you're home for the holidays and can enjoy some well deserved time off. I enjoyed your German adventure, reminded me of our years in Germany when my husband was in the Army. We didn't live in Bavaria, but in Hesse, north of Frankfurt. But we enjoyed traveling when his schedule and our finances allowed it. I remember touring Nymphenburg, it is amazing.
