Good Morning, everyone!
As my flight arrived late last night in Cedar Rapids followed by a 2 hour drive to Oelwein, I planned ahead!
Today you will find my post up on Meg Fahrenbach’s blog, My Tea & Brie.
Meg has been running a “Scrappy Trips Summer Sew Along” this summer and while her crew have been making tons of Scrappy Trip-A-Long blocks over the past few months, Meg thought it would be fun to do a bit of “getting to know you better” behind the scenes.
I’m happy to jump in!
Perhaps there are things we talk about that you weren’t aware of before. So hop on over and check out our chatty interview.
And poke around and see what else she has going on as well! She has many group projects on the go and you just might find something to tickle your fancy and get you motivated to make some progress on something.
Find the Scrappy Trips tutorial HERE.
Quiltville Quote of the Day!
This morning I’m ready for round one of workshops in Iowa at 2 back to back retreat locations in conjunction with Jo & Kelli of Jo’s Country Junction!
Moth in the Window from the Addicted to Scraps book is up on deck today. You can follow along with my Facebook and Instagram feed to see what we are up to and I will share everything in tomorrow morning's post.
Yes, I really DID just wash the contents of my suitcase and put it all back in again!
Have a wonderful Thursday, everyone!

We're 77 miles away .Just passed Iowa City.
FIRST and foremost Bonnie, I hope your brother's next surgery resolves his medical situation...healing prayers for him and warm thoughts for you and your family!
SECOND at your recommendation (suggestion), a friend and I went to the Pineapple Fabrics' sale!!! I can only say that a few hundred dollars later, it was well worth the
1 and 3/4 hours drive from Angier,NC!!!
Enjoy your time in Iowa!

Many thanks for mentioning Pineapple Fabrics earlier this year!! I have now been to my second sale on behalf of my quilt ministry here in Winston Salem and left with fabrics to help bring all the donated pieces together and also, several backings.
You and your family have been in prayers and hopefully your brother will be up and well soon.
I am in awe of all you accomplish each day!
Bonnie,
I went to the Tea and Brie website to look at the sew-along and realized that one problem I am having with the method is there is an assumption that fabric can be cut in 2 1/2" WOF strips...I am a scrap hoarder and much of my fabric is in much smaller pieces - perhaps 2 1/2" but certainly not WOF. How to I reconcile my scrappy collection (and use it up) using strips rather than tiny bits of fabric? Should I sew them together to make one larger piece of fabric and then cut strips?
Thanks
@Suzanne - you don't need WOF strips - you only need a piece 16" x 2 1/2" (or 13" x 2") for each strip! Hope that helps!
@Bonnie - prayers for your brother and to all your family that all goes well and he has many more years ahead of him.
