Yesterday’s Star Struck workshop with the Gallatin Quilters and visiting friends in Bozeman, Montana was a bang up bundle of fun!
We had folks visiting from all over the state as well as Minnesota!
It made for an extra fun mix of scrap-happiness.
I haven’t taught this class in a while, and it’s a great one for getting a good hold of stitch & flip corners, and don’t forget those bonus units!
To see what I mean, click the tips & techniques tab and scroll down to B for “Bonus Triangle Bonanza!”
This quilt makes OODLES of them that will be fun either as a boarder for this quilt, or to use in future projects down the road.
The best part of the day? Seeing all of the fabrics that everyone had chosen come to life in their own renditions!
Check out Tatyana’s gorgeous Kaffe Fassett prints!
Oh, I love this one!
We’ve got some orange action going on here!
Bobbi’s smaller blocks in rainbow!
Three Bonnies!!
This so rarely ever happens…Bonnies are just not that common, but we were three yesterday, and a fourth Bonnie was with us the day before! There is a plethora of Bonnies in Montana!
Check out all of this scrappy goodness!
Yeah, they MADE me do this!
You’ll find all of the other photos from our day in the slide show below!
After the workshop was over, I was driven to three Forks where I was passed from one vehicle to another and driven into Helena where I will spend the rest of my Montana stay!
The State Capitol of Montana!
When they say this is Big Sky Country, they mean it!
Beautiful!
Today’s workshop up on deck is Talkin’ Turkey from String Fling. I have a whole new group of quilters to meet this morning and we will fill the day up with scrappy string piecing and gaggles of flying geese.
Tonight is my lecture in Helena, if you are anywhere near come on by! I’d love to see you here!
Quiltville Quote of the Day!
Have a lovely Friday, everyone!

Bonnie, I might utilize this on a smaller scale for the star accents in my daughter's wedding quilt.
I love seeing you lying on the blocks for a Picture. You're not usually laying down on the job! 4 Bonnie's- there will be some echos and head turning in the room when someone calls out "Bonnie". Glad you are seeing some of the BIG SKY!
Happy Friday to you too Bonnie!! Your Montana trip is turning out wonderfully. Safe travels! Hugs, Allison in Plano, TX USA
Bonnie...you "Star Struck" hussy!! :) Tatyana's stars are gorgeous. Isn't Montana just oh so beautiful?! My Dad was born in Butte, then made it East to Pennsylvania. I visited Bozeman, Billings, Butte and Missoula for the first time to meet family I never knew I had. Lucky me....each relative was the most awesome person I met....until I met the next relative. It must be the Big Sky and the stunning mountains.
Oh yeah....this is a quilting blog...thqat's right...I almost forgot. The ladies in you classes do such nice work. I keep telling myself someday someday...but no matter. I have fun trying.
Thanks so much for your great blogs and help. Be safe...
