I saved all of the photos of show & share quilts from our lunch breaks during workshops with the 3 Georgia guilds and the one Tennessee guild to post them all together in one big show & share extravaganza for your enjoyment today!
I didn’t realize until I was putting them all up and choosing the music for it just how many there were.
These quilters have done a fabulous amount of work! What if we counted all of the pieces in all of the quilts, added up the number of quilting hours, and the length of binding from end to end to bind them all?
I am just astounded at how productive quilters are, and the things that we can accomplish just one piece at a time.
There are some projects that are still in progress:
Two halves ready to assemble!
Some more rows in progress waiting to be added.
Some became bed runners because we just said “ENOUGH” and were ready to move on!
Some beautiful antique tops came out to play!
A vintage pickle dish pieced by a relative.
Signed on the back in embroidery!
four friends who challenged each other!
You’ll find this and more in the extended slide show below. Pour yourself a cuppa, sit back and enjoy! And remember, you can always use the pause button if there is something you want a longer look at.
One of the BEST parts of traveling and teaching are the quilters that I meet.
Lynn & Pam from the East Cobb Quilt Guild!
(Yes, that’s a Celtic Solstice!)
Lynn and Pam run a fabulously fun TV talk show on YouTube called The Stitch!
Join friends Lynn and Pam as they chat about current topics in the quilting world, techniques to improve your own projects, and fun stories about their quilts. Episodes come out monthly, complemented by virtual sew-ins and weekly podcasts.
It’s TOTALLY fun! You can find more info on The Stitch website.
The most recent episode can be found HERE.
I so enjoyed meeting you girls!
Irene and I are headed home this morning where I will deal with getting 2 weeks worth of book orders out the door and pack for our Alaskan cruise – we leave for Seattle on THURSDAY morning early early and I’m getting that panicky feeling like there is NO TIME TO WASTE!
We did get quite a bit of sewing in since our 4th of July on the mountain was rainy and foggy. I worked on my column blocks for the 2017 issues of Quiltmaker, so I cant’s share those right now, but I know you are going to love them.
Remember, the drawing of our two lucky winners in the Quiltmaker Giveaway happens tonight. Did you enter to win on THAT POST?
Quiltville Quote of the Day!
Vintage double wedding ring quilt found in Kansas!
There's always a reason to smile, you just have to find it!
Have a great Tuesday, everyone!

I wish I was going on that Cruise. Hubby got sea sick on a half-day deep sea fishing trip so a Cruise isn't on his radar at all anymore. But he caught the 1st fish, LOL He wasn't just green, he was yellow! Have a great time with your mom and aunt on this trip! Lovely show and share. Love the embroidered name on the back.
I'll be waving at you from southcentral Alaska. :)
So glad you had a "quilty 4th". I bet Sadie was happy to see you too. Glad to hear she is doing well. Enjoyed seeing all the beautiful quilts on the blog love the way the hearts open up for each one. I think there is a message there! I do enjoy every part of quilt.cam, and the blogs. Looking forward to the next quilt cam and hope I catch it live it would be my first one. You make me smile every time I watch, you are so down to earth and "normal". Thanks again and have a safe and fun cruise.
Well, as far as smiling when I'm alone....I positively beam as I read your blog, so you better believe I mean it. You just make me so happy.
As for all your show and tells....I've a million thoughts, but I think the best way to express them is to simply say, "WOW!! AWESOME"!!!
Thanks for all you do...
