What a beautiful Sunday it is!
And doesn’t it feel like a gift that we have one extra day in this month? It does to me.
I head to Cincinnati on the 4th of March, and the fact that February has one extra day is priceless! What will you do with it?
To celebrate Leap Year, I’ve got a goodie for two of you out there.
Will it be you?
The Spring 2016 issue of Quilts from 100 Blocks is ready to hit the news stands!
SO many wonderful projects inside!
A few of my favorites:
Springtime Spin!
I am drawn to anything with blooms and flowers this time of the year. Yesterday we were at Lowe’s and the potted bulbs smell so good! Oh hyacinths! I’ve missed you! This quilt captures the essence of spring with soft colors and easy piecing.
Love in Bloom!
I love this in red and green as a Christmas quilt, but can you imagine it in sunny yellows, greens and pinks – maybe a shot or two of aqua in there? BRING ON SPRING!
Snow Bird!
Having just returned from Arizona, the snowbird in me understand WHY we flock south to warmer climes in the winter. Things were blooming in California and Arizona. Capture the endless sun in this very Southwest feeling quilt! I love asymmetrical blocks and this one has so many bells and whistles for me!
I’m going to use the random number generator to draw 2 lucky winners!
Each one will receive a copy of the Spring 2016 issue of Quilts from 100 blocks. Along with….
MYSTERY GIFTS!!
It could be fabric, it could be notions, it could be…..A MYSTERY!

Quiltville Quote of the Day!
Life is a lot like the safety demonstration on an airplane. You have to adjust your own oxygen mask before you can help others. Start with you!
Garden Party quilt made by my friend Irene from my pattern which graced the cover of the May/June 2015 Quiltmaker Magazine and will be appearing in my new book due out in September!
Happy Sunday, everyone!

I'm going to spend the extra day getting ready for your Cincinnati Workshop! I want to Talk Turkey with you!
I am preparing for A Mountain Quiltfest in Pigeon Forge, TN on leap day!!. I hope to see a lot of Quiltville's citizens at the show March 15 thru 19th. It is a free admission show.
I'll be drafting a memorial quilt for my mother, surrounded by a garden specked with snowdrops and daffodils. A good day to love life =^}

I love having an extra day :-) I'm quilting up quilt tops and found a new thread I love. Omni V by Superior Threads....beautiful!
Love your blog, Bonnie and Quiltcam of course, though I don't often get to see it live.
The extra day will be spent getting ready for classes at a quilt show. I used to hate the extra day because my birthday is March 1. What a terrible thing to have to wait an extra day before my birthday!
Love the yellow and purple quilt!
I am making a quilt for a friend who, after many years as a single mom, is finally owning her own home! It is full of bright, sunny colors, representing a new beginning. Then, oscars while maybe binding on another quilt or two!
Oh! I love a surprise. What could it be? Extra gray strings!?? That would be fabulous.
I plan to finish a quilt top started a while back and put together the Allietare quilt top and border it.
I'll be working on that split9patch of course!! I prepared another 16 blocks for sewing last night using my "book method"😉 Well, Bonnie, now you know my screen name👏 Hope to show a finished top at Conejo's next meeting. The extra day will help.... But I guess I should use some of it to clean up my space!
Thanks for your giving nature! Patterns, mystery quilt projects and your inspirational words everyday!

I love your patterns, just found your site from the new guild I joined when I moved this past year.
I like your blog and I look every day on it. I hope you come to Germany soon. Scrapquilts are my favorite quilts. They live.

A mystery gift?! Exciting!
Bonnie I just want to thank you for your 'quote of the day' bits. So many of your inspirational quotes just seem to appear at exactly the right time. Thank you for being you!
I very much appreciate your thoughts for the day. I don't know how you do it, but you speak directly to me most days, like yesterday and today. Although its weird to find you've been in my brain, I love all you do for us. Thank you. Btw, I plan to finish repairing one of Grandma's wool quilts tomorrow. It doesn't need a lot to complete, so the "extra"day should be perfect to use to fix this one!
Thanks again Bonnie!! You rock!! ~M
I am enjoying your special closing thoughts on the beautiful quilt backgrounds. They are very meaningful to me.
Thanks.

Extra day ? I just don't feel like there is such a thing but I was able to be productive I stuffed two softies and a doll pillow and stitched the openings closed and did the hand part of a doll quilt binding. I know it doesn't sound like much but it was sewing I did enjoy the slow stitching and I listened to an audio book.
My weeds and flowers are growing and blooming right and left. I have one small garden section at the front of my house that is behind a retaining wall so it is the perfect height for me to reach over and pick a weed or two on my way by. That one small area looks so nice you can really see the flowers and really no effort on my part just a weed or two each time I get the paper check the mail put the garbage cans in or out. If only my whole yard was as easily accessible down on hands and knees to weed is just too much for these old bones I need to save that for the quilt basting

I just watched my first quilt-cam & really enjoyed it! I did it as I was ripping out tiny stitches & you helped make that chore not so dreadful!!!
I was wondering just how small I should be stitching when I'm stitching on paper. Unfortunately it's copy paper & not the phone book kind. I knew when I set my stitch length that I would not enjoy ripping if I had to & boy, was I right!
Thank you for the giveaway & chance to win (yes, I filled out the link form). Have a great week & I hope to catch the next quilt-cam live!

Growing up in Minnesota but living in Arizona for about 15 years, I love the Snow Bird quilt. I can see that quilt done in some beautiful desert colors! Keeping my fingers crossed that my number is selected.
Hope my number gets chosen! I have no "link" so I hope this email works. :) Angeliasue
I plan to work on my cathedral window quilt. I have a ton of little windows to sew. Maybe I will get lucky and win one of these magazines!!!
I've got 4 projects going at the same time, but having to work this afternoon, so no sewing for me today. Hopefully i can work on them tomorrow! Hope you are able to enjoy some "home-time" before you are off and running this Friday!
Working on my Allietare after work

WOW/ Great as usual! Hope I win!!@@##
Oh how fun, another great give-away. You're awesome, Bonnie. Thank for this opportunity.
thanx again
Thanks for the giveaway. I have started a "quilt of valor" for a nephew. Excited to finally getting my "mojo" back after losing everything in a house fire.
Great giveaway! Can't wait to see this issue!
