Talkin’ Turkey in Columbia, SC!

20151117_143813
We had a great time in our Talkin’ Turkey workshop with the Logan Lap Quilters of Columbia, South Carolina yesterday!

Extra fun since I knew some of these ladies from when I lived there “back in the day!”.  I can hardly believe it’s been 8 years since we moved to North Carolina.

I do believe in my ENTIRE LIFE this is the longest I have ever lived in one place.  I kind of like it this way.  Staying put!

And being close enough that I can make the 2 1/2 hour driving trip south to go spend an evening and a day of fun with some great folks!

Monday night’s lecture was well attended!

Way to represent, Columbia and guests who came from out of the area!

Our workshop started with a bit of a frenxy!

Yes, this is what happens when boxes and bags of donated strips are dumped on the platform!

It’s a feeding frenzy!

We went from stringy to 9 patchy to putting the blocks together!

Even if you have a cut finger due to a rotary cutter accident--

We can still call this an awesome day!

Make them any color you want!
Just make them!

Click the image below if you are unable to view the slide show on your mobile device.  You’ll be taken to the photo album for viewing.  There is even some show & share included!

You will find the pattern for Talkin’ Turkey in my book String Fling. Signed copies are available in the Quiltville Store!

I made the drive home last night through Charlotte rush hour traffic, able to sleep in my own bed.

I’m home today, but off again tomorrow for my last teaching gig of the year – spending time in Raleigh, NC just a couple of hours up the road!

This year is winding down, and I’m so ready for some HOME time for more than just a couple of days here and there.

Have an awesome Wednesday, everyone!

Oh, how I wanted to be there! I tried to get into the class last January, but after registration started, they filled up with guild members.....sigh. It looks like a good time was had by all! Sure wish the guild here in Charleston SC or a shop in the area would invite Bonnie for a workshop/lecture!

So glad you'll be getting some time for yourself and your family. Your schedule is a killer and you certainly deserve a break. I can't wait to see you in Kalamazoo in March, though! We had sign-ups at our guild meeting last night and I signed up for both workshops. Lots of excited quilters here!

So glad that your extended "home" time starts the end of the week. Not sure how you go and go and go and share and share and share. I enjoy the sharing and thank you.
