100 Blocks, Vol 11 BLOG TOUR! ((Give-Away!))

**NOTE**  This drawing has ended!  Congrats to our lucky winners!!

It’s here!  It’s finally here!

And I’m so excited that you are joining me on my day of the blog tour for Quiltmaker Magazine’s 100 blocks by 100 designers, Volume 11!

This is a special issue for me – as it’s my 10th consecutive issue, and I have loved participating.

It keeps my juices flowing – always wondering “What if….”

What if I did THIS for my next block?

Or what if I did THAT instead?

I’ve always wanted to try working with THESE colors…

Or maybe THOSE!

Knowing there is a deadline ahead for sending them in always keeps me on my toes --- and when I finally decide to sit down and put the block of my dreams together and I see how it looks “in the fabric” ---I WANT TO MAKE A WHOLE QUILT!

But first – here is  MY block:

 DancingDashes1

Dancing Dashes!

I am in ITALY with a group of 40 quilters while this is posting –so it is so very appropriate that the I LOVE CARBS fabric is used as the sashing in this block.  LOL!  Mangia, Mangia, Mangia!

It’s actually a Mr Potato Head fabric, but a carb is a carb is a carb!

I had a lot of fun with novelty fabrics, fun little bright prints and choosing the sashing fabric to go into this little block.  Simply set this block side by side by side in the quilt and it makes its own staggered design!

Oh yes, this is definitely on my bucket list of MUST MAKE QUILTS.  Besides, who can resist little churn dashes anyway?

This is scrappy quilting at its BEST!

I know you have been visiting the Quiltmaker Magazine site daily over the past week, right? All of those good goings on and giveaways?  No? If not…CLICK HERE and check it out.

Visit all of the sites, enter their drawings, and come back to me – because I have one too!

20150501_211035

Drawing for THREE lucky winners!

Two winners will receive personally from me, a copy of 100 Blocks, vol 11 AND a Moda Summer Breeze Charm Pack!
The third winner will receive a copy of 100 blocks, vol 11 directly from the offices of Quiltmaker Magazine.

Are you excited yet?  Every issue has 100 12” blocks that can be used together to create any number of quilt designs…it’s chock full of inspiration for color, fabric choices, and block ideas you may never have thought of ---VOLUME 11 is THE TOP!  You won’t want to miss it.

You will soon be able to find it at your local news stand, or through the Quiltmaker Magazine website.

Because I am out of town as this is airing, my drawing will happen Tues Evening, May 12th.

Good luck everyone!

small print:

No, you can’t email your comment in, you can’t comment in the guest book, you can’t comment on facebook or instagram…it has to be HERE. On this post.  So I can use the random number generator to choose our lucky winners.  It’s only fair that way!

If you are a blogger or google user, PLEASE check your profile to make sure your email address is visible and I can reach you.  If there is no email address on your profile I have to choose someone else.

If you are commenting as anonymous you must leave your name and your email address so I can reach you.

When in doubt, just please leave your email address!  It’s that simple!

If you are reading us on an iphone or ipad after clicking a link in facebook you must open this page in a new browser or safari window before you can comment.  Your device still thinks you are in facebook even though you do not think you are.

If you still see the blue bar at the top of your screen…trust me. You are still in facebook!

Same goes for Blog-lovin.  Get OUT of blog-lovin and view our page directly.

You can’t always comment while reading in a blog reader service.  Make sure our address starts with http://quiltville.blogspot.com  If it says something else, get out of there and come to my REAL LIVE page

And most of all…GOOD LUCK!!  I could be drawing YOUR ENTRY!

I LOVE traveling with you through your blog posts. circumstances in life prevent me from traveling to Europe or places where one must fly - so I can see it through your eyes, and your descriptions are great. I would love to enter, but I am just entering for the fun! If I win please use this email: mowie41@embarqmail.com
