Trees were bursting into bloom today in our Crabapples workshop with the Four County Quilters of Mount Airy, Maryland!
We met at the wonderfully new volunteer fire department community room in Sykesville. What a wonderful place for workshop--
There was so much room each quilter had their own six foot table. The lighting was perfect, and best of the best - the number of machines mixed with the number of irons did not even flicker the power!
This was the first time the group had used this wonderful location, but I can bet that it won't be the last and I am looking forward to having tomorrow's Midnight Flght workshop in the same fabulous venue.
I hope you enjoy a few photos posted from my phone showing you what we got up to today. tomorrow morning I will edit down the rest of the photos for a slideshow, but tonight since I am back to my room at a decent hour I plan on firing up my featherweight and working on those lozenge blocks that did not get touched last night either.
Sending much love from Columbia Maryland!

Looks like you had sew much fun :)
I just finished Scrappy Mountain Majesties, which is gorgeous, and have started Old Tobacco Road. I have all the 182 4 patches done...YAY. Now to get to work on 388 (!!) HST!
My next quilt will be the lozenges. Thanks for all the great inspiration. Put the pedal to the metal and get some lozenges done tonight :)
I'm so glad I got to make the Midnight Flight and start it with you in Portland. They will love it. Lots of repetition! 4-patches, HST's and Chevrons!
Since I have been following you, I don't remember seeing a workshop with the Crabapple pattern, and I have always liked it whenever I came across it the show and tell segments.
What a sweet block. What is it called? It looks like something that I would really enjoy.
