I left Wallburg, North Carolina this morning with the sun shining down and the Temps on the rise.
It took me about five and a half hours to make it to my destination in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Due to the construction on I 85, I opted for a back road, taking route 29 up to Charlottesville and then heading east.
While there were no antique stops, there was plenty of gorgeous scenery all along my way.
I no sooner arrived to check into my hotel when the rain started coming down and the thunder started to roll.
It's always interesting setting up for a lecture in the rain, hauling in a couple of duffle bags full of quilts and cardboard boxes full of books and other supplies while trying to keep you AND the stuff you are carrying dry!
I'm excited about my visit with the Virginia Star Quilters of Fredericksburg, Virginia.
It looks like a good crowd tonight! Let the Virginia fun begin! :-)

Have a wonderful time! I know that you will have incredible information to share.
Welcome to Virginia. Been putting my stuff together for Saturday - I am so excited to meet you!
hope you have a wonderful time but what I really want to know about the man in the second row, sleeping, crying or just realized that his wife has a new obsession?
I would love to win a copy of the magazine. I'm having a heck of a time getting used to your new hairdo.
Oh I had to go back and look at the picture to see "the man" funny but what do I see but more men!! It's good to see the men out with their wives on a stormy night

It's hard work moving all your stuff from room or room but teaching people who want to be there is wonderful!!
I was rolling past Fredricksburg about 9 a.m. today... fortunately my drive to Ohio didn't include heavy rain! Wish I could have heard your lecture but doubt my son & mother would have let me!
