Cathedral Stars Day & The Village Quilters!

TN_Apr2014 031
Outside of Loudon, Tennessee lies a beautiful little spot along the water's edge called Tellico Village.

I’d never been here before!

But boy is it beautiful ---

And the Village Quilters are a lucky group to meet at the Chota Recreational Center ---a beautiful building and a room all their own….large, lots of tables, plenty of plugs and awesome lighting.

From what I hear there is something quilty going on here all the time ---every week, and often more than once a week with all the various bees and stitch groups in the area.

We met yesterday for a Cathedral Stars workshop.

Of course there was as much laughter and chatter going on as there was sewing!

And even I got to pet Cathie’s tan featherweight baby!

((there is one of these on my bucket list – and I’ll find it – but I’m not in any hurry, I love the thrill of the hunt!))

Cathie’s progress at pack up time!

Everyone did a great job ---and this fun day passed so quickly, I couldn’t believe it.  It’s good that I’m here for a couple more days yet –this morning is my lecture and trunk show, then we’ll break for lunch and meet back at the rec center for a Strip Twist half day workshop –

And the fun continues in TN!

Awesome Sauce ladies!!! Still plugging away on my Wonky Wishes Stars and loving it!! Love seeing what the gals are doing in class and the fun stuff you find Bonnie. Thanks for taking the time to share. :)

It was SOOOOO good to listen and learn from Bonnie - herself directly! IF you ever get a chance, she explained in humorous and understandable detail the Scrap Users Method - then showed us an array of Bonnie quilt and told us how each had been done using which size scraps etc.

Everyone enjoyed themselves ... she must have sold 100s of book, pictures taken by one and all... it is so much fun!

THANKS BONNIE

All these ladies seem to be having a fabulous time. Their projects are great. I'd love to see the completed quilt for the one done in purple, green and pink. I think it was green and pink HST's and purple for the star points. It was so bright and cheery, I would love seeing how the entire quilt turns out. One of these days I'd like to attend one of Bonnie's classes.
