iPhone-O-Gram! Piecing Away in Punta Gorda!

We are on our lunch break here in Punta Gorda, Florida!

The ladies have been hard at work on making units for the My Blue Heaven quilt. We are just about ready to start turning units into blocks!

As far as Florida goes, it is quite chilly outside – but we are toasty warm and having a great time inside.

We've got green heavens, pink heavens, brown heavens, red heavens, and every other color under the rainbow!

Here's a big wide happy hello for all of us to all of you! :-)

OHHH My old home state --- think WARM Bonnie. Looks like a good group of happy quilters with you.
This is yet another Bonnie-quilt I 'plan to make'.

Now how many years worth of quilting is now on this list? :)

Boy has PuntaGorda changed since I was last there. Used to live in Naples and we would go to Sanibel Island to go sea shelling.
Pretty area.

Looks like so much fun. I worked on the border of my Celtic Solstice today while I watched Quilt Cam. I got the two side triangle borders on and had to make a few more units to finish the top and bottom borders.
I am enjoying making this quilt so much.

I am cutting fabric for a Blue Heaven now. I was wondering. Do I need to worry about saving some blue out when I am cutting for the HST? I'm using fat quarters and I think I have enough to get me through to the end but I'm not sure. Will it be goofy looking if I have to introduce new blues later, or will I still be early enough in the process to even it out. Does my question make sense? It is such a beautiful quilt. I could see doing one in green too. Or purples. . .
