I have never read these books, but would love to win this one. Looks beautiful.
Love love love the Elm Creek series. I had just started to quilt (being taught by my own "Sylvia") when I went to my first quilt show in Lancaster PA. Was looking through the many books and magazines when I picked up a book that had the first three Elm Creek books. Was reading about it when a quilter came up to me and said "dear you are going to love these books!" Make sure you get the 2nd volume (which had books 4, 5 and 6). I picked up both volumes and spent the next 3 days devouring them!! No housework, no work, no nothing!! Stayed up to the wee hours of the morning until I read all six books!! Then left the house to get the rest of them. Needless to say I was hooked and am still hooked!! I've been working (on and off) since 2009 on my SBS and am hoping to getting it done some time next year. I hope Jennifer keeps writing about Elm Creek for many years to come!! Thanks Bonnie for the opportunity to win this book!!
Love her books. I am a few books behind but I read all of them. Ask for them at Christmas and Birthdays.
I have one or two of her books, and now, MUST find the time to read them...I always have more books than time! As well as more fabric...another story...I love the pictures of all the quilts, and am hooked! Thanks for the giveaway.
I love those books. Sylvia reminds me of my grandmother Flora, who taught me to quilt.
I like all her books but if I have to choose a favorite it would probably the first The Quilter's Apprentice. I'd love to win this as it would help me catch up with some of the characters I've forgotten ! Too many books an too little time! Lol!
Definately Sylvia; she is "Elm Creek"!
I've read quite a few of the Elm Creek Series and enjoyed all of them. Thanks for the chance to win.
My favorite is the first book -- The Quilter's Apprentice -- Thanks for the chance!
I have read all of the books, and even the 'non-Elm Creek.'
I'd love to win this book and add it to my collection. :) The Runaway Quilt has been my favorite, because I grew up in a town where the Underground Railroad had several 'stops.'
Definitely The Quilter's Apprentice for me. Wonderful stories in all of them!
Never heard of them, but now I have to go get it!
I love all the books, missing a couple on her newer books, but Christmas is coming. makes you want to go on retreat.
I have many of them and enjoy the story, I just downloaded her Mrs. Lincoln book and it is wonderful. I would love to try these quilt blocks
I love all the books, missing a couple on her newer books, but Christmas is coming. makes you want to go on retreat.
I would also love to win this book... I have most of her books but have not read all of them yet... too busy making quilts...
Along with working on two of your quilts, the SBS quilt is in the works. When the time allows no phones get answered, no computer gets played with, just me and the sewing machine. Seems today would be a good time for some needed quilting therapy. Thank you for all you do for quilters world wide. Lynda from Chicago
I have loved all the Elm Creek books.... Favorite? and favorite character? Cross Country Quilters and Sylvia; where it all began...... Thank you for the giveaway!
Just recently heard about them but have not purchased one yet. They sound wonderful.
I have enjoyed every one of these books, and could not possibly pick a favorite.
Никогда раньше не встречала этой книги, очень любопытно!!!
I have loved them all from book one... The Quilters Homecoming sticks in my mind...anxiously await every new book :)
I have read them all and hope to see more. Yes, Sylvia is my favorite. Just love her.
Love her books. Bought her fabric for the Christmas quilt this summer and need to work on it. Just started another of her books. Thanks - from northern Iowa. . . .
OMGoodness! I would LOVE to win this! I am so in love with Jennifer Chiavarini's books. My favorites are the historical ones, but they are all wonderful. Thanks, Bonnie, for the giveaway.
Sarah is my favorite in the series. Probably because I was a new quilter when "The Quilter's Apprentice" first came out. I love her books and have read them all to date. Living in WI I have been lucky enough to see her and hear her speak several times. Thanks for the chance to win this pattern book.
I've read one of the Elm Creek books, The Winding Ways Quilt, and really enjoyed it. I need to start with the first book and read my way to the latest one. Thanks for the chance to win it.
I loved Bonnie from Aloha Quilters - I admire her courage to strike out on her own with the help of her friends. Plus, I love Hawaii :) denebir at gmail dot com
Love her books !!
I'm new to quilting and new to the series too, but have read a handful so far. I really enjoyed Sonoma Rose.
I've never read any of the books but I have listened to and loved a lot them. :) I'm getting ready to start Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker today. I would love to be friends with Sylvia. She has such spunk!
Love her books !!
I have read all the Elm Creek books andd loved them all. I don't think I could pick just one character though. Love them all. Can't wait to see this book. Exciting11
I have every one of her books and quilt books that go with the series. I love Sylvia and learning about the history of quilting. This series is how I got into quilting, a self taught quilter with Sylvia and her crew as teachers!!
I have to say I have never read an Elm Creek Quilts book. I have seen them often at quilt shows but never picked one up. Now it is on my to do list. This companion book would be a great intro
Favorite book would definitely be the first one, The Quilters Apprentice!!
I really enjoyed Chiaverini's stand-alone "Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker," and of the Elm Creek Series, it would be "The Runaway Quilt." (Notice a Civil War era preference?! HA!) Thanks for the opportunity to win another great book.
Oh, to get lost in the stories. How I'd love to be there. Thanks Bonnie from Stitchin Heaven.
I love her books! My sister turned me on to them....
I have read every one of her Elm Creek novels, just finished the latest, The Wedding Quilt, and then I am going to read her two other books as well. I love this series and Sylvia is my favorite character. I would love to have the champion book to her series. I saw her on Sewing with Nancy not too long ago.
I have read every one of the Elm Creek Quilts novels. I've enjoyed all of them but the one with all the recipes seemed a bit short on story (IMHO).
I can't say that I have a favorite character, although Sylvia ranks very high.
I have ALL the Elm Creek Quilt books - and they are NOT in any of my regular bookcases, they are in the bookcase in my sewing room! I loved the Runaway Quilt, and it prompted me to buy a couple more books about quilts and the Underground Railroad.
I haven't seen these books, so would love to win one.
I have never read any of these books, but I would love to give it a try!
I have read some of her books and enjoyed every one, will be looking forward to the release of this one. Maybe, just maybe I'll win it. :)
I have read all of them but The Union Quilters was my favorite. I loved Sylvia like my own mother. And would love to go to a retreat at Elm Creek!!
I have read each of her books and love them! I like all the characters for their own special gifts. I have even reread some of the books to refesh my memory. I'd love to have the companion book!
I love these books. It'd be great to have this to go along with them!!
You are everywhere doing everything! I haven'y read any of the series - is it time to start?
Oops... my email is thequiltlady12@att.net :)
Love the books - I have read them all and got my non-quilting family (Mom and sisters and sis-in-laws) to read them all too! Would love the chance to win it. I think my favorite character is Sarah.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the Elm Creek Quilters! Once I started reading each of the books, I couldn't put it down until I got to the last page... and then I was craving more!! I can't pick a favorite because I love them all so much. I haven't taken on any of the quilts yet, but would love to try at least one. Thanks for the chance to win the book - whoever wins it is going to be a very lucky quilter. :)
I love the Elm Creek novels! Jennifer writes with such visual clarity that you can see the quilts in your minds eye. Wonderful--lucky you to review this book!
OMG! I have been waiting and waiting for this book to come out. I have read all of Jennifer's books an of course Sylvia is my favorite character! I think The Quilter's Apprentice must be my favorite one since this is where it all began and the one that got me hooked in the first place!
Have read them all and as the books changed throughout the series loved getting to know all the characters. Really liked Sarah.
I love many of them, but I guess my favorite would have to the first one because it introduced me to some new friends, and so much about quilting that had just begun to be familiar. Thank you for this opportunity.
I have many of her audio books. I love listening to Sylvia talk about the past.
It is difficult to name a favorite, but it all began with Quilter's Apprentice so that must be the one. All of the stories about Sylvia and her friends are a tribute to women and the craft of quilting through the years.
I have heard lots about this series of books. I would love to be entered for the giveaway.
Love Elm Creek Quilters series. I have read and re-read them all.
I thnk my two favorite are The Sugar Camp Quilt and The Runaway Quilt. I was fascinated by quilt markings used as guides for runaway slaves as well as the story of the history of a tattered quilt. Thank you for the chance to win.
I've never used Elm Creek . But the first quilt I ever made was a table topper . I had gone to Florida to visit my aunt and uncle who live their in the winter. I live in Ontario Canada. While visiting my aunts community has a free weekly quilting class put on by one of the ladies from the Netherlands who stays in Florida in the winter. I completed Carol Dork paper piece Heart table topper, this is what got me hooked on quilting. I hope I win would be nice to do another paper piece project. Thanks Bonnie for all that you do. Wendy Bradley wcjbradley@gmail.com
I've only read a book or two! Love Sylvia and Elm Creek-I'm originally from PA- and would love this book. Thanks for the giveaway.
I've read them all and loved each one. Every time my quilting friends and I get together, we wish we had an Elm Creek to live and work from. This companion book is a great idea! Sometimes the story lines of the characters get a little muddy between books and it takes some remembering to keep them straight. I'd love this! I'll admit that I couldn't get into Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker. I think I missed Sylvia too much! (Candace2robinson@gmail.com)
Love her books! My favorite was Runaway Quilt, but enjoyed them all.
I love elm Creek novels. I follow Jennifer on FB and would love to go to a book signing some day. I would love to add this book to my collection.
Jackie in WI
Bonnie, like you I have enjoyed these books since I read the first one in the series. Being a native Pennsylvanian, I enjoy that Jennifer sets her books in Central Pennsylvania. All of the characters are memorable, but Sylvia has got to be my favorite. Don't you just love the story line of her finding love later in life? I would love to win this book.
This is a wonderful series! My guild even has a complete set in the guild library. If I had to choose a favorite, it would be The Quilter's Homecoming. Thanks for the opportunity!
I enjoyed The Union Quilters...although I found some of it to be unbelievable ( of course, it is fiction)
I love all of these books and can't wait for this one to come out so Please give me an early Christmas present! luzzi2@ptd.net
Luv Jennifer's books. They are so great to cuddle up with on a gloomy wintery day or a rainy day with a cup tea. Hope to be the lucking one.
Rita
I like to listen to books on tape while sewing and quilting. I really don't have a favorite character or book as I enjoy them all.
will have to check this out sounds great.
Love her books. Favorite would probably be The Runaway Quilt. Thanks for all you do for quilters everywhere Bonnie! Pahappel@cvalley.net
I have read all her books and love them all!
I have read all her books and love them all!
I have loved her books from day one. Amazon recently had an Elm Creek tote bag they were almost giving away it was so cheap. Of course, I had to have one! Winning the Companion would be an excellent 70th birthday present! I have been quilting since my grandma taught me at age five! deanne.lucas@yahoo.com
I LOVEJennifer's books!! My favourite is The Aloha Quilt! Going to Hawaii is on my bucket list since reading that book! Thanks so much for the opportunity!
I have wanted to read them, but haven't had time yet. But I looooooove the look of the Sylvia's Bridal Sampler quilts I've seen, and would love to make one (as soon as I finish my Dear jane, and finally read the books!).
I love all the books , Defiantly have to say the one about Anna and the kitchen redo is my favorite - Unfortunately I can't remember the exact title right now! Maybe Christmas kitchen or Cooks Christmas. I love cooking almost as much as quilting! Anna's recipes are great!! This book would be great to add to my collection !!
I love the details of the books on putting the quilt blocks together. Quilting and cooking go great together. I only have two of the books I'm collecting them slowly when I find one or two at the library books sales. Every time I go to the library, and that is often, I look for a new book by Jennifer! love them. Thank you for the opportunity to win this- I'll be telling my librarian about it so she can order it for the libraries collection. Thank you martha3594@gmail.com thanks again for sharing about the book.
I LOVE her books!! Right now I am reading Mrs Lincolns Dressmaker!!! I wish the books were made into movies!!
Connie Lee dougandconnielee@yahoo.com
I love all the books! But my favorite is "The Quilter's Apprentice". These books got me hooked on quilting! I think Sylvia is my favorite character.
i like the first books about retreats at Elm Creek. they sound like so much fun!!!
I actually starting reading these books a long long time before I started quilting. I would love to have this special book. I think Sylvia is my favorite character.
jackier123@hotmail.com
I've read many of the books, unfortunately not in order, so my grasp of the series isn't very good. I've enjoyed all that I've read. The one that sticks in my mind is The Sugar Camp Quilt. I don't know why. Thanks for the giveaway.
I enjoyed every single one of the books I read right up through Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker but I have a soft spot in my heart for the first one I read -- "The Quilter's Apprentice". It's where I fell in love with Elm Creek. Although I did very much enjoy the one based in Hawaii...
The Aloha Quilt is my favorite, but I like them all. I would love to win this. Rozanna quilterrozanna@gmail.com
I listened to The Lost Quilter on cds while hand quilting a quilt for my daughter. The story was wonderful and I have always wanted to get more of Jennifer's books. I would love to win this one.
Been meaning to read her books, this would be great to get me started.
not read the books, but i'm making a elm creek quilt NOW!!
Have not read the books but would love to. Would love to win a copy.
Jennifer is from Wisconsin, like me and I love quilting....can't say I have a favorite as I love her books!!
My favorite book was the Aloha Quilt. It was the first book of her series that I read. This books sparked my interest in Hawaiian Quilts. I was happy to discover all the previous books and have read them all.
I picked up the Quilter's Apprentice at the library and was immediately hooked! As each succeeding book came along, I began to feel like some of the characters were friends, and long to be able to go to Quilt Camp at Elm Creek Manor. The love, friendship, and healing through quilting calls to my heart.
I love Elizabeth from The Quilter's Homecoming but all her books are wonderful :)
Have been collecting each and everyone! She is amazing! I am an Elm Creek fan!
I'm surprised at the number of people who haven't read her books. The series is wonderful! I can't pick just one. I would love to be able to visit a retreat like that some day!!!
I haven't bought a new quilt book for some time, so I would love to have this one.
My favorite book is the first, 'The Quilter's Apprentice'. Jennifer was on an 'e-group' then and asked us to read some excerpts from her first book. Loved it then, love it now! Keep writing Jennifer, your stories are fabulous!
Kathy ksquilts@msn.com
I guess my favorite is "The Quilter's Apprentice". I love all her books but the first one is special because it draws you into the series and when a new book comes out, I go to the library and ask them to get it and I get on the waiting list! I have not made one of her quilts yet because I just got started with your system and trying to use up my stash. Her quilts are on my bucket list after your list. LOL!
My two favorite pastimes are quilting and reading. I have yet to read any of Jennifer's books. I just retired as a school librarian, so now I'll have time for all of her books. Thanks for the giveaway.
I have enjoyed all her books and particularly like Sylvia. She never gives up hope no matter what comes her way and she is a good friend.
I have all of Jennifer's books (signed), and have made of few of her quilts. Myself and three sewing friends had the pleasure of making three blocks each for her for the Union Sampler Quilt in her latest quilt book. She is multi-talented with her fabric designs, quilt designs, and most of all her storytelling with historical research, LOVE Jennifer!
Oh wow...I love her books! I started reading them shortly after I began quilting and they just fueled my desire to quilt more and more!!! Would love to win this! hartscuba@hotmail.com thanks!!! michelle
I have been wanting to delve into her books for some time, but it just hasn't happened yet. This sounds like a lovely book and I would love to have a copy. I guess I need to get caught up on my reading. Thanks, Bonnie!
I got the pleasure of meeting Jennifer at her book signing here in Colorado a couple weeks ago. I think I discovered her books about the same time I found your Quiltville website. All of her books are great re-reads for me. I love every single one. The characters, relationships and the clues just suck me in add the fact that they all revolve around such a beloved craft! cosmostar@mac.com
Would love to discover the Elm Creeks Quilt series, what better way than a Give-Away :) Thanks very much Bonnie :)
I "found" this series years ago and absolutely love sitting down in a comfortable chair with a cup of tea and losing myself in this story. I'm not sure how to explain it but the peace I find when reading is so welcome, I find myself longing for the next book as soon as I stop reading. She just must write more frequently!
All Jennifer's books are my favorites! Her books are the only ones I read so quicky from cover to cover. Her latest novel is on it's way to me through my local library service. Thanks Bonnie, for offering this give-a-way.
I love all the Elm Creek books! I have all of them in ebook, and most of them in hard back too.
I have all of Jennifer's books, and had the wonderful opportunity to meet her at a book signing in Grand Rapids, MI. I wish the series could go on forever. As for a favorite book or character....that is impossible to choose. They all have their own personalities and quirks and that is what makes them all so wonderful. The Companion is a must have in my Elm Creek Quilts Library!
I would have to say that the first one, The Quilter's Apprentice, is my favourite in the series, and Sarah my favourite character. She is the visionary behind quilt camp at Elm Creek and I love her business mind. This series has been a wonderful escape. I have a few of the later novels on my Kindle that I haven't yet read but hope to catch up soon! mavisreyn at yahoo.ca
I have read all so far and love them. My book group is reading The Giving Quilt as our December pick. I too would love to go to Elm Creek Quilt Camp and meet Sylvia!
I adore Jennifer's books. She is my favorite author right now. I'm still working on my version of Sylvia's Bridal Sampler.
I think I love Joanna. My heart breaks for her courage and endurance and her love.
reillyr2(at)hotmail(dot)com
Love this series, we listen to audio versions when at quilt camp. Would love to win this book.
I have all her books and loved everyone of them. I usually keep up with when the next one is coming out, so I don't miss one.
Sylvia is my favorite.
I think I've read almost all of the Elm Creek books and love following the characters as they come and go throughout the stories. I have recently read Jennifer's historical novels - Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker and The Spymistress - and have a real appreciation of the research put into these books to bring the lives of these women to our attention. Of course I look forward to more of the Elm Creek books too!
I don't have a favorite as I have loved all of her books! I want to go to Elm Creek to quilt with strangers to make all kinds of new friends. I'm thinking there is a place like that, I just don't know where it is!!!
I cannot chose a favorite book, but have to say Sylvia and Sarah are the 2 characters I found the most interesting. The way the books went back to slavery and into the past was so interesting, and the private lives of the quilters just made me feel like one of them. A shining example of how each of our lives are so different, though we are all united because of our love of quilting. Quilters have big hearts!!! I would love to win this book!!!
One item on my list of retirement to do's is to read some of these books. I plan to get started this winter, which will be here soon. This book would be a nice guide to the series.
Love Love LOVE them all! Love Sylvia, the historical settings, especially the Sugar Camp books! Would love to win this quilt book!!
I love all of the books and all of the characters. I would love to win this book. Jean_smith8@hotmail.com
A favorite? ALL!! I have yet to read the SPYMISTRESS but it is on my need ro read list ;-) when I win the lottery, I will make it to a retreat..Jenn's are the best no matter where they are!!! I think Elm Creek would be in western Pennsylvania! and it would be a great deal of fun-- *~*CAROLE*~*
Ugg...This is Joan from comment 150. email is jdoezema@sbcglobal.net
I love them all! At our twice a year quilt retreat, all the gals bring the novels they've read since the last time we met up and we swap books so everyone can find a book they haven't read yet. Thanks for the giveaway!
jeami36@gmail.com
I love all the Elm Creek books....but if I had to pick out my favorite it would be the Runaway Quilt. I just love when Jennifer goes back in time. I would absolutely LOVE to win this book! Thank you for the opportunity
I don't think I could choose a favorite, I've enjoyed each and every one of them. Our library actually calls me when they get the latest book (if I'm not already on the waiting list for it) I've even met Jennifer, when she spoke at our quilt guild a few years ago. Thanks so much for the wonderful giveaway!
I was unaware that Jennifer also wrote novels, as well as make all those amazing quilts. What a talented lady! I will certainly be on the look-out for both of her new books., hopefully one that I won.
If I must pick a favourite quilt of hers, it would have to be "Vincent's Sunflowers", or "Christmas Greeting", or "Elms and Lilacs", but I also love the one on the cover of Jennifer's new book!
Gosh, it's so hard to pick just one! I just hope I win her book.

I like the Round Robin book and since I participated in my first round robin last year, I understand it better.
I have all of her books with the exception of her latest!! I loved all of them so a favorite is impossible! I was one of the lucky ones that received not one of her pins but several of them when she announced a new book with postcards to mail out for her!! I would love to have her new book! Thanks for an awesome opportunity to win!!
I have read the entire Elm Creek series and plan to give them to my grand-daughter in a couple of years. I am always at the book store before they open on the day a new release comes out. This companion would be a great addition to my collection. lynn52@csinet.net
I have read all of her books and my all time favorite is 'The Runaway Quilt'. Every one of her books has a bit of history woven into it and I finish feeling a little bit more informed. An honor, indeed, for this opportunity. And how I would love to attend a week long quilt fest at Elm Creek Manor, if only.....
My horoscope today is "have faith that something or someone will pop up at just the right time". I recently retired and actually have time to catch up on things like reading. But wow! 20 titles in the Elm Creek series. I now have the first 3 on hold at the local library and look forward to getting started. I'll have to get back to you on the favorite book or character report, but I'll catch up quickly. Please count me in on your give-away! (Quilt11@cox.net) - lisa
I'm an Elm Creek nerd. I've read all the books and have two of the elm Creek pattern books. I'm in the process of making The Elm Creek Medallion quilt, subbing my nieces home for the house. Would love the companion book.
I love all her books. I can't choose between Sylvia and Sarah as favorite characters. Glad to hear another book is coming. Thanks for the chance to win!
The Quilter's Apprentice was the one that snared me (of course), so if I had to pick just one book from the Elm Creek Quilter's series, that would have to be it.
Enjoyed reading all of Jennifer's books. And would enjoy winning this copy. I enjoyed the runaway slave novel....and am enjoying the spy mistress this week.
roxanna dot owen at gmail dot com
My Mom is a big fan of the books so I would love to win and give it to her.
Love the Elm Creek series. This book would make a great addtion to my collection:-)
Hi, I have never read them or entered a giveaway either. But I love your Blog. My email is bevstitches@gmail.com
Amazing! Just yesterday I was surfing the web and came across her book, Sylvia, and knew immediately it is a MUST HAVE. Can't wait to get it. I would love to have the book in the give-away!!
I loved all of her books, the Quilters Apprentice started it all. I got to meet her when she just started writing. gasuski@mac.com
I love them all, so a favorite is impossible!
Sylvia and Sarah are the 2 characters I simply LOVE!
Thanks for the giveaway,
Hugs
I have never read the books but have heard much about them. Guess I better get in gear and start reading them. Thanks for the chance.
I have several of her books and have really enjoyed them. quiltingmichelle@gmail.com
Hi Bonnie! I was hooked on the Elm Creek Quilts series from the very first one, but my favorite of her books was a little bit of a spin-off: Sonoma Rose. Wonderful historical novel about life in California during Prohibition and the Depression.
On a secondary note--just wanted to say how saddened I was by Mauwa's passing in Bali. Jim West said it best: "We lost a true treasure of Bali," but what wonderful memories of Mauwa and Bali we have!
I think I have read all of the books. Would have to check my list to be sure. Loved all of them. Favorite character would have to be Sylvia. Thanks for the chance to win the book.
Unfortunately, I haven't read these books yet, but I surely would love to. This seems like a great way to get started. Thanks a bunch for the chance to win! ☺
mynanamaree@yahoo.com
Your so cool with all your teasing give-ways, an keeping us on edge until this or that surprise :) I have read some Elm Creek, I look for them second hand, so would love this book as a guide, I do love the Elm Creek retreats, I was very much there in spirit as I read the books. Sylvia is my favorite. Have a nice day Bonnie, and thanks for all you do.
Wow Bonnie,
That book looks like a wonderful one. I would love to have a chance to win it, thank you! I love her novels and have read them all to date.
You posted just over an hour ago and have 153 comments already, another wow.
Thanks for sharing the story of Jordan and his scrap sorting in the previous post.
I have read all the Elm Creek books and now the new historical ones. I absolutely love Sara and Sylvia's relationship. What a great mentor Sylia was to Sara!
I loved The Aloha Quilt. The story behind the Queen's quilt was fascinating. My daughter lives in Hawaii and I enjoy doing Hawaiian quilt blocks. It made the story more personal for me.
I couldn't even name a favorite right now, but I only discovered the Elm Creek book a couple of years ago while I was deployed to Iraq....I think I read all of them (that were out at the time) in just a few months. They helped me get my quilt-fix even though I couldn't sew!
I have not read any of her books, but love to read as well as making quilting. Will look them up on my kindle and chose one thank you
I love these books and I would have to say Sylvia is my favorite character!
I've read all of the Elm Creek books, and my favorite is The Aloha Quilt. Someday, I might even convince myself to make a Hawaiian quilt.
All her books are simply charming and fun to read. Thanks for the opportunity to read the latest! Janet in WA
A lot of entries already and I'm sure there will be more. I love every one of her books and would be so excited to win a copy of the latest one. Thanks for the chance.

I LOVE the Elm Creek books!!! I have not read them all - yet - but I certainly will. My favorite character would have to be Sylvia. She is the wonderful combination of knowledge and wisdom - and he sense of humor is so dry, it gives me wonderful memories of the same humor my Dad had. (sorry, TMI) I've not seen the newest book but I'm definitely going to look for it. :-)
I love all her books but the first is my favorite, followed closely by theRunaway Quilt.
Love-love-love these books. The next one never comes out fast enough !!!! I really like when Sylvia talks about the earlier years. Thanks for the contest Bonnnie !!
I think that I loved the first book the best, mostly because I was going through a very painful time and a dear, sweet friend gave me a copy of the book to bring me some joy. Since then, I have bought, borrowed or used from the library, every single book of the series. Winning this book would mean lots to me.

Haven't read the books but it looks like I better get busy! Amazon here I come! Thanks for the opportunity to read a new book!
I loved the Quilter's Apprentice! Sylvia and Sarah are favorite characters. I have all the books and will always keep all of them.
Love her books. Someday I want to make the wedding sampler in batiks. I have been saving for a long time.
I got to meet Jennifer at a book reading and signing, it was alot of fun, she is such a tiny thing, lol.
I think my favorite character is Sylvia also, and I too want to visit the quilt retreat!
I now prepare for the holiday seasons by rereading the holiday quilt, The Christmas Quilt, The New Year's Quilt, and The Holiday Quilt. These stories inspire me to sew gifts and finish UFO's for gifts. I now do this as a pre-holiday tradition. I am reminded how blessed I am and what these seasons are really about, love, family, and giving from the heart. E-mail llca59@yahoo.com
Oh yes! Love Elm Creek. Have read them all, but I think the first is best because it started many wonderful hours of reading! Sylvia is my favorite!
Have not heard of these books, but will certainly check them out at my local library. Thanks for the give away.
Hi Bonnie, Thanks for the chance to win. Love all her books, but Quilters' Apprentice is one of my favourite. Love you blog, you have such engery.
I just finished "The Aloha QUilt" and loved it! What a great giveaway for us!
I love every one of her books. I've only missed the last one because it's still on load at the library and I'm 325 on the list. I'll be waiting a while yet. Would love to have this one. All the patterns are in my sewing room waiting for me to make them. Would love to win the newest one! Thanks for the opportunity. Melissa Peters. mpeters1200@yahoo.com
WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THIS BOOK! Just getting into the quilting family. From all the comments sounds like the Elm Creek Quilt series is a good place to start. I have been following all your adventures and your quilt -cams. Thanks for all your hard work.

I love ALL of Jennifer Chiaverini’s books! Thanks for the chance to win!
I love Jennifer! She used to post on the newsgroup, and we all got to learn about her early books firsthand. Of course, I like Sylvia, but one of my favorite characters was Sarah. I loved how her character learned to quilt, but also grew as a young wife. My favorite book was "The Cross Country Quilters."
I have a warm spot in my heart for Circle of Quilters because of its depiction of the quilting culture and the varied sorts of people who belong to it. (I also enjoyed her historical novel, Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker.) Hope I win!
This book is just what need! While I never have had the time to read a novel lately, the series is one I am aching to catch up on.
Smiles, JulieinTN

I love the Elm Creek Quilting series,a wonderful hodgepodge of women who help and support each other.AND THEY Q UILT!
I have read all the books and love them all. Would love to win this, would make me read the book again.
Hi Bonnie - Jennifer gave a great talk in Williamsburg, didn't she? I really can't pick a favorite, they are all such great stories. Been so long ago that I started reading them (I have them all) that it might be time to re-read them! The Companion will be great for keeping the characters straight! Thanks for the review and the giveaway!
I'm not much of a novel reader. I honestly would rather sew a quilt and learn quilt pattern techniques. Reading beyond cookbooks takes me away from the sewing room..
I've been an Elm Creek fan since almost Day 1! Even made the first Elm Creek quilt from the Quilter's Apprentice - my first! Favorite title - can't even begin to pick, but if I have to, I'd say The Giving Quilt because of the love and generosity displayed throughout that book.
Sylvia, Just picked up The New Year's Quilt. Love her books!
These books are all great reads. I think I am particularly fond of "The Winding Ways Quilt", because it walks through the changes of any group. I also have enjoyed "Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker" --- a departure from the Elm Creek Series. This new volume looks like a wonderful way to follow the characters and other information. I look forward to seeing it --- and, of course, would love to win it!
I have read nearly all of them and just love all that I have read so far but the last was
Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker and I found that very interesting with so much history in it. I am actually now reading "Behind the Scenes" written by Elizabeth Keckley herself. It is an old book and very interesting. I think overall, I like Sylvia as one of the characters. Good, level-headed personality! I am excited about this new one too.
Every book is a joy to read. I have All of her 22 Novels and Patterm books. I can gladly add this one next to my collection. I love collecting the pins that she gives away, too!!
I love these books and have read all of them.
I'm working my way through these books. I liked the Sugar Camp quilt as we did have a sugar bush where we tapped 500 trees every spring in Ohio, when I was younger. Interesting story.
I have enjoyed all of the Elm Creek series. I esp. liked the story of the underground railroad. My favorite character is Sylvia since the stories revolve around her family and friends.
I am new to the delights of Jennifer Chiaverini. Winning this book would be a wonderful way to get introduced! (Just in case: catremus@gmail.com) :)
No favorite title, really. I just love the community of Elm Creek and the history Jennifer does such a good job of weaving through the story.

Loved "A Quilter's Homecoming." Lessons learned were perseverance and longevity. That very old quilt that was repaired through the course of the book has made me take a better look at my fabric selections and my seam allowances.
How on earth could I pick a favorite? They are all quite wonderful and unique. Each time I curl up with one of her books it's like visiting old friends. So many great characters.

I prefere the first one, The Quilter's Apprentice. Both the story and the setting is excellent.
