Our offer has been accepted on the cabin in the mountains ---
We have worked so very hard for so very long to make this happen. It’s been a lot of sacrificed hours to make this dream come true!
The sellers are very eager to close quickly and would like to close by the end of June.
This is going to happen quickly!
I should be spending the 4th of July holiday in my new cabin, spending time with my family and quilting away in between!
The rockers are on the upper porch ---
The double doors you see on the bottom open from the sewing area to a view of the blue ridge mountains and the parkway:
The same double doors are also on the upper deck level, where I stood to take this photo. That fence....will be mine!
It is coming mostly furnished! ((Yes, porch rockers included!!))
The only thing I will need is a toothbrush – and a sewing machine!
And some girlfriends to sew with.
Any takers?!

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 209 of 209I'd like to be your best friend and sew with you. I just helped my father sell the family cabin after having it for some 25+ years. Now a new younger family will enjoy it. All my best to you. The real question here is....how will you decide which sewing machine(s) to take along? :)
Congrats on the cabin and if you are ever in need of a sewing girlfriend I am there! SMILE. Looks like an amazing gettaway!
You deserve it! What a view! Add me to the list of takers! I'll even bring fabric! ;)
Beautiful cabin. I'm here in Winston so if you need a quilting buddy I can be there in a flash
Bonnie, I'm so happy for you, congratulations! That is a beautiful view, and a great looking home! And I'll come sew with you any day!

Congratulations! A view like that... I'm in! I do some mean Dutch oven cooking! It would fit in with the scenery!
Congratulations from the wet side of Washington state WAAAAAY across this beautiful country! So glad you found that perfect place for your family to relax. Hope you have many many years of happy family gatherings sittin' and rockin' in those fabulous rocking chairs!
I'm excited for you Bonnie! I've been working on my Red, White, Blue and Gold "Jared" quilt from your Ottawa, IL class. Loving it! I'd love to sew the days away in a cabin like yours. Congratulations on your little piece of heaven.
How many bedrooms did you say this lovely place has again??? LOL Sounds like you have a long list of happy quilters just waiting our turn to sew with you! Hopefully you'll have a pretty good internet there so you can keep up the quilt cams...
