Quiltmaker July/Aug Give-Away!

Lookie lookie lookie what came in my mail yesterday!

It’s the July/August issue of Quiltmaker Magazine! This means that Part THREE of the Lazy Sunday mystery is nearly at your door step…and things are starting to come together!

I really had a great time working with these colors….yes, some of the colors were from the left overs of my Easy Street, but that wasn’t all that I threw in there.  I was inspired by fabrics and colors that had come home from Bali with me just last August ---bright beautiful color, and I loved how happy these fresh colors made me feel.

Orange and hot pink and lime green and turquoise….and let’s throw in some purple for good measure!  These are all colors that strike a chord in my memory of our batiking expedition.

If you have not kept up with the mystery so far..it’s not too late!  Previous issues are still available..you CAN catch up because it will be 2 months before the last installment comes out. You can even get your copies digitally HERE.

quiltmaker 003

Where is this going and why does one star have a green corner?!
Wait and see!

Also included in this issue:  My Addicted to Scraps column!

quiltmaker 002

Perfect for summer!  This is Berry Bushel!

And look what the Quiltmaker Team has done for a simple sample layout:

152addictedtoscrapslayout

This is just what I envisioned...isn't it fun how the blocks come together to create a positive/negative design?  This one would look great with cornerstones and sashings too because the cornerstones would connect the chains through the blocks.

That’s not all you will find in this issue!  Quiltmaker is PACKED with gorgeous quilts, and directions are provided to help you create these from start to finish, including color options and quilting designs.

julyaug2013

Goodies found in this issue!

quiltmaker 001

One for ME – and One for THEE!!

I’ve got an extra copy for a lucky winner!  Please leave a comment on this post, or in the guestbook in the left hand side column for a chance to win this issue!  PLEASE remember to leave your email address.  Not all those who comment have been leaving email addresses.  Be sure your email is linked to your blogger/google profile or if not, please leave your email.  I have had to pass up winners in the past because there was no way to contact them.

We will draw for the winner on Sunday,  June 2nd and this issue will be on its way to one lucky winner!

I leave for Ireland on June 4th! Oh GOODNESS!

Quilt Cam tonight? Who’s game?  I’m not even sure WHAT I’ll be working on tonight….maybe some simple string piecing at the treadle!

Thanks for a chance to win a copy Bonnie. I have been watching quiltcam as you have been showing your dancing nines baby quilts. I adapted your idea and used four patch units to make a quilt top. I now want to make one with the extra nine patches left over from the sisters choice quilt I was able to make from following along on quiltcam ... So much fun to watch you.

I'd love to win a copy! I've finished three "Bonnie" quilts and you've made a scrapper out of me! I am loving not having to worry about making a mistake with my precious coordinated fabrics because I can just use something else!

Yes! I'd love to win! And I'm up for a quilt cam this evening...i'm tackling my very first scrappy quilt! Having a good arm-wrestle with my left brain about it, too!

Totally love scrappy since I found your blog! I'm slowly converting others in my quilting circle to "leaders and enders" since they've seen the number of great quilts that can be achieved. Thank you so much!

sooo looking forward to this next issue of Quiltmaker. your third installment looks great. I've kept up with the quilt so far and am just itching to get to the next installment.
Also like the scrapsaver quilt block. how appropriate for a Summer block than to feature the colors of red and blue berries with some nice vanilla ice cream (oops i ment fabric, hehe) added into the mix.
I would love to be chosen to win a free copy of this issue, as there are some other interesting quilts that i would also love to make. Thanks very much for having this drawing, and for all the wonderful quilt patterns that you create for us quilters.
