The only thing dragging me down is that my flight is wheels up at 6:53AM this morning ---so you guessed it – this post is being written ahead so I don’t have to deal with it when the alarm goes off at 4am.
Some sewing did get accomplished on a very quiet Easter Afternoon ---
I sewed a spring green binding on a very pink Atlas machine, circa 1958!

Bright green binding on an indigo blue border? You bet!
I can’t show you the whole project because there are magazine and book plans for this one in the future –but I’ve been working with these colors for the past 6 months or so, building this quilt as leaders and enders while working on everything else as always – just working here and there a bit at a time. This is a project that has packed easily in my suitcase. Up until now!
I have a “generic” walking foot on the pink Atlas machine….and needing a 1/4” binding and finding the foot too wide to use the edge of the foot as my guide, I screwed on another little vintage goodie that came in a random box of machine feet – it’s a curved seam guide that drops down in FRONT of the foot so I can set it where I need to go!
I've found sometimes when putting on a binding that the sticky guide is not high enough to use as a fence when the quilt is thicker than the guide. I still like the sticky guide for every day all purpose piecing..but for binding and using a walking foot, this is my alternative!

Civil war colors and muted warm tones seem to be the fabrics that I lean toward so I have many scraps in those tones. Using those up in several scrap projects.
I'm working on Easy Sunday, with 1930's reproduction prints and also working on a quilt with shirt fabrics.

I just finished a Great Granny square quilt in brights. I used different fabrics in each of the twenty blocks except for a common red centre square.

Working on your Boxed Stars pattern for our guild donation, so not one color is missing from the color wheel! It's coming out really nice and it will be hard to give away. Still have to decide on the sashing fabric, but want to wait until all the blocks are done first. Only 28 more quarter blocks to go!. Yay.
Using a basic green and gray green with other colors thrown in. For a leaders and Enders I'm using white with a scrappy variety of brights.
I am hoping to start lazy Sunday, so I'm fabric choosing this afternoon.

I am getting ready to start a 30's print quilted table cloth for my sister in law. Any thing bright and cheery to dispel the gloom of winter that keeps lingering on here in Ohio!!!

Love the blues and green, my latest project is with red, white and black, but have a pink and gray on deck.
Over Easter I've been machine quilting a quilt in greens browns teal and cream, bit of hand quilting a pink and yellow with white quilt and appliquing a bright border on a grey/black spot. Think I've got most colours covered!
Right now I'm working on a zigzag quilt using shades of blue, green, brown and cream. It's for my father-in-law.... shhhhh, it's a surprise!

My 85yr old Mum came to stay recently and for something to do whilst the east wind raged and the snow piled up against the doors we sorted my shirt stash by the cosy log fire. I noticed how well the teal, orange and purple shirts went together, add a little neutral and that's my latest colour-combo. I've almost finished Easy Street using new fabrics so my next quilt has to be all recycled fabric to keep the faith!

I'm currently working on My Blue Heaven in...wait for it...BLUES and neutral creams!!! Bet you didn't see that one coming! I love Bonnie's color sense so I tend to use the same color palettes in Bonnie patterns. Interesting to see how different they can look even starting out with the same palette. I just finished a purple, green, and black quilt. I'm putting the binding on a blue and white quilt, and am starting a quilt using greens and neutrals.
I've got several works in progress....one is bright, happy colors and I just need to add a scrappy bright green border. Another is bright batiks---love those! And I'm hand quilting a brown/black/tan/neutral quilt for my son. Love the variety!
The main colors in my scrappy trip along are blue and yellow, but it is scrappy so it also has pink, purple, green and brown. On my Great granny squares quilt, it is for my 7 year old niece so it is citrus colors, green, yellow and orange and non-citrusy pink.

Like so many others, I am working in scrappy colors right now, just finishing up a Moth In The Window using men's shirts, some given to me by a quilty friend. Trouble is, I think the shirting material in the storage bin expanded instead of becoming less. I could make 8 or 9 of these quilts from that stash. Yikes. Keep on keepin' on, everyone.
This past Saturday I started a superhero quilt for my soon to be 4 year old's birthday in 3 weeks. The main colors are red, blues (slate, bright,baby blue, Navy), gold/yellow, and a bright green.
I am doing scrap browns greens and reds. Actually won't be touching it this week, but will be driving through Nashville today and again on Wednesday . Spring break for the grands.
Right now I am finishing blocks for the Scrappy Mountain Majesties quilt. My colors are from light 'off white' to paper bag brown for the 'sky above mountains' and earthy tones for the 'mountains'. Love the earth-tones.
I love your lime green and navy combo! There was a family in church yesterday all dressed in navy and white with yellow accessories. So classically preppy. I'm working from my batik stash this week. Started in the browns and oranges, making my way over to the greens.

I just finished binding a quilt that is full of spring colors. I'm also working on a quilt using some of my late father's shirts--mainly red,blues and neutrals.
At the moment I am working with soft greens, whites, and a splash of teal blue... soon a table runner will be welcoming spring on my dining table!!

I'm working on a baby quilt and using bright colors. I just had a sewing day this weekend with my daughter ...so fun!
I am fixing to put the borders on Easy Street. Using your color palette for the body of quilt, I decided on a teal inner border and a purple finishing border.. I have never put a border on before and am a little apprehensive about this step. I also am working on a TShirt quilt for my husband, never done one, but getting there. Black will be the sashing, but can't decide about borders yet. Two firsts for me, a large finished quilt(first mystery) and TShirt quilt(for my love), I need some mindless project next, so I can relax a little. I am working on a Nautical/lighthouse quilt. I am doing my best to create a pattern on my own while replicating 6 US lighthouses, Tybee island, Nantucket, Baltimore, Jupiter, Delaware and a Maine lighthouse. It's looking great if I do say so myself. My colors are red, cream, 3 shades of blue and black for the lighthouses! Happy quilting everyone!!
I'm working with a rainbow of batiks on an applique quilt. Love your vintage machine! I have one that is from the very early 1950's and it has cams for different decorative stitches. For straight stitching, it's a real work horse. Love the color of yours!

I seem to be in a black and any other color groove right now. I have a black with several bright batiks in the works and my next project is black with repro fabrics appliquéd on to it. I never would have thought of the lime and blue and white combo, but it is quite striking.

I am using pink and green on the quilt pieces chaining in my machine. Might be a baby quilt for my first granddaughter (after 6 grandsons) who is due May 24th. She is being adopted and is an unexpected gift from God.
I'm working with red, brown, blue, gray and BOW. Yes, I'm trying to finish my first Easy Street for my grandson. I've finally been able to sew again after the move from heck! It took 3 trucks to move all of our stuff from Orlando and Tampa to Riverview. But we are home now! Have a great time in Nashville. I lived there back in 95-96 and LOVED the city! There is a quilt shop in Franklin (Stitcher's Garden, maybe?) where there is tons of fabric and a crabby owner. But it is worth the drive! Have fun!!
I'm working on Just Plain Nuts. It is all sorts of greens. Originally the name was to be Just Plain Nuts for green (my favorite color). Recently, I changed my mind. Women do have the right to change their mind. I counted up the different green fabrics in the blocks. Showing my OCD side. The current name is 50 Shades of Green. BTW, I LOVE your green binding on the indigo!

Love the blue and the green together! I'm working on a new queen size quilt with browns and turquoise prints! Most of the blocks are done for the center...taking it to a quilt retreat with me next weekend with hopes of getting the blocks put together and the top done...fingers crossed.

Recently I have been working with royal blue, lime green, orange and neutrals. So similar to what you show here, I love the zingy, fresh combination.
Put this down as one for the books...I have zero ufos and a blank canvas. Oh the joy of starting something new :) so no colors picked yet. I do know one thing, since 2001 I've been shopping stash 100% and my bank account appreciates it :)
I do have a new machine, a gorgeous blue-greenie 15 clone which I'll be working on today. So that is my color choice.

Couldn't resist digging into my very generous Bag O' Swag from Quiltmaker's Block Party. I cut up some of the delicious Ty Pennington fat quarters to combine with some pink & yellow & jade & blue from my stash to make a quick donation quilt in a pinwheel pattern. Some teenage girl is going to go gaga!

I'm working on a quilt for a friend. She choose reds and muslin, with a little bit of blue, yellow, green and orange. It's not a red red, but a softer red. If that makes sense. Today I will be working on the borders. Have fun in Nashville. That's a someday destination for me.

I'm working on a sister's choice quilt with brown star points. The nine patches are basically greens, blues, rusts, and golds. It's to be a donation quilt for an auction for our local Kiwanis chapter.

I am working on your Texas Tumbleweed. The main colors are brown and creams, but the rest of it is a riot of colorful scraps. I love using lots of color in my quilts. It makes me happy to see so many fabrics getting along with each other :)

I am currently helping my oldest granddaughter work on her first quilt. She is doing everything by herself with me watching and giving encouragement and advice from nearby. She picked out the most gorgeous color combination of limey greens, teal/aqua blues and chocolatey browns! I intend to definitely use all her scraps in my next project!

I'm paper piecing (on a Singer 99 hand crank) the Harry Potter, The Project of Doom quilt. My 'colors' are a dark tan for the background, and all sorts of fun colors for the books. My last project was with the rainbow colors. But the best color of color combo is srappy (Scrapquilts) - all colors are in it - the life is the same - bad and pretty years and with fabric bad and pretty colors. Have a nice spring day with fresh colors of live.

My current projects are VERY different from each other... One is a sampler in various blacks, grays and salmon-ish corals with a mottled cream background for my constant. The other project that is almost ready to quilt is all hand dyed fabrics in an 18 shade bright spring color wheel on a tan background. Love all colors and styles of fabric here!
Multiple projects, multiple color pallets. A pink and white Bonnie Hunter Star Struck pattern and totally scrappy 300+ charming additions pattern. It has been cut for 3 months and inspiration came last night on how to sew it together with a limited design wall. Can't wait to start it.

I have been working on my scrappy trips around the world - it still needs a few more blocks, but I'm going to need to switch to a quilt for a sister who is probably getting married over the summer. Hmmm... I have a WIP red and blue quilt with the blocks made just needing to set a summer wedding time frame.

I've been working on Easy Street in the purple, b/w, green, grey colors. I've arranged it into the Easy Alley formation. I'm also working on a half-jelly roll quilt in brights/pastels. It's a welcome change to see all the colors after a long winter. It's still white and snowing here in interior Alaska. But the days are longer and sunny. Love your patterns and use-up-scrap mentality. I plan on doing the new one in the magazine.
Still woking on the scrappy Jamestown landing I started in your class, but I got the Easy Street done and just loving it. Thanks Bonnie for all you do for us quilters.

I on step 7 of my Orca Bay.I used orange and purple for my main colours. Hope to have it finished (quilted and bound)by the time my son comes home in August so I can give it to him.
I am actually working with all shades of blues and whites to off whites. I am making Blue Ridge Beauty! I fell in love with this pattern in your book and it has been my leader and ender project for awhile. It is now at the stage of blocks coming together. I am SEW excited to get this together. I'm not working in any particular color combo, but in my favorite --- scrappy shirts!! I love the scrap quilts and sometimes have difficulty working in one color combination. Hope it is springy in Nashville --- was cold and rainy, when we drove through on Friday.

I guess lately I've been working with brights with a white background.
Spring pastels; pink, yellow, blue, green, and lavender.
My imagination is suffering Spring Fever so I'm working in tone-on-tone shades of vivid red daisies and cloudy blue violets blocks, sprinkled with black/white & white/black butterflies. I plan to sash with tone-on-tone greens and border with a tone-on-tone white picket fence.

I am working on Easy Street. I have yet to finish Steps 5 6 and 7. Being gone, sewing room reconstruction, and illness stopped me dead, but have it pulled out and open by the machine!!!! Can't wait to finish it. 4 of us did it together, 2 are completely finished and 2 of us are lagging behind!

My leader/ender project is Jamestown Landing so blues and neutrals for that. My main project at the moment is a very scrappy small quilt that has shirtings plus pink, light blue, dark blue, brown, green, and red. I love playing in the scraps!
Mostly scrappies on machine sewing, but I am working on a hexie Grandmother's Flower Garden in 1930s repros bright pastels, too.
Love how the navy blue backing and green binding looks together, I'm not a fan of green, but I do like the looks of those two together.
I'm working with light and dark green and cream, trying to finish a St. Paddy's Day table runner, yea I'm a little behind, oh well it'll be done for next year...LOL. I love the Starburst Block but it was giving me a little grief so it's taken a lot longer than I hoped it would have.

I've been wondering where my Quiltmaker magazine is. Hoping it will show up today or tomorrow.
I'm working on Easy Street in the blue, green, purple, and b/w combination. Also working on a disappearing 9-patch in a girly pinky-lavender combination and planning another in a kaleidoscope of Kaffe Fassett prints. As usual, too much going on at once in this brain!
Right now, I have so many projects on the go that I have every colour in the paintbox out and playing! Purples, greens and blues for ES, same colours with orange out for LS, cheddars and scraps for my bowties, EVERYTHING for a STATW, reds, blues and browns for a new baby quilts and oranges for a quilt for my friend just diagnosed with leukemia (orange is the leukemia support colour). There's colour everywhere in the sewing room! I have a subscription to QM but would give my winning copy to my friend who I "forced" to start LS.

I am working on a baby quilt in lovely pastel colors.
Trying to use up the left overs from Easy Street to make Lazy Sunday! This year I am trying to do what is known as "finish up" some old projects and contain the new ones to mystery quilts and BOM's as they are good for long term WIP's Also, working my way through a Debbie Caffery mystery from 1997 that has been taking up a couple of my drawers in my fabric carts. Shop that had sponsored it went out of business before we got all the clues, so I finally emailed Debbie and told her what happened and she sent me the missing clues-so I can get that one out of the way. It is in browns, tans and gold-way out of my color box! But, I paid for the fabric and hated just having it sitting there-so, by end of year it should be together!
for today, think I will work on my next installments of the on line mysteries so I can be ready when my Quiltmaker gets here to work on Lazy Sunday!
I'm working on a cream/charcoal gray/barn red sampler. The blocks were made by friends for my birthday. I got to choose the focus fabric and gave a FQ to each, then they used it to make whatever block they wanted. I'm absolutely loving working with these blocks! Might even have it finished for my next birthday at the end of May.

I am working with multi colours right now. Doing hexagons with a white background as the patter in all the other colours. Trying to go from dark to bright from the center toward the outsid. Kind of difficult, but fun.

Well what colors am I not working with? I'm working on the outside borders of Bricks in a Barnyard that I started in your McKinney class in January. It's all different colors with red.

I'm doing my second Easy Street in a special "family" color wheel: pink (which represents MY favorite color), light blue (my husband's favorite color), pink on black (which represents the fact that my dad is in a nursing home getting older by the minute), yellow (for my mom) and white on black with musical notes to remind me of my daughter who just had an Allstate Music Festival--she's great on the flute! Just started to piece it all together--it's looking good!

I am doing a lot of pieced hexagons in bright colors. Many are of fussy cut animal prints like cats. I always told myself that I would not make a hexagon quilt but Mickey Dupre came to Austin and gave a workshop and I totally am enjoying myself.

Working with a rainbow of bright colors in dots and a playfull print, it's a BOM for a charity quilt ...so far it is looking good.
Started a new project last night that involves teal, white, orange, and gray. LOVING the colors!
Right now I am working on a Double Wedding Ring in shades of gold with cream background. So pretty!
