It was SUCH a pretty day – a bit cool, so I had on a sweatshirt, jeans and tennies…and off I went.
The area I live is pretty hilly – my neighborhood consisting of on average 1.5 acre to 3 acre lots, but I think the guy in the center ((Which was probably the original plot)) has maybe 5 ---I love the view of his barn and shed and how it changes with the seasons. RIght now….all those green leaves are gearing up to spread out and create a bunch of great shade this summer.
I love walking up and down the hills, looking at the creek, at the pasture, at the trees, and especially this time of year EVERYTHING that is blooming.
Changes happen so quickly in Spring – and it passes in a blink of an eye, and I really notice it when I’m gone for a few days ---I can SEE the difference. And I don’t want to miss a bit of it.
Yes – I know….this is ANOTHER post that does not involve quilting, but I needed a break myself. I need so soak it in. I’m not home long this time, off again on Wednesday, and I don’t want this to be GONE by the time I’m back!

Hello, Spring Butterfly!
My voice is about gone…I’d been climbing a hill when I got to this bush, and my allergies have been clearly assaulted by the onslaught of pollen ---but I was amazed that this little guy did NOT fly away as I approached!
Those of you still in the Snow Zone – I thought I’d send a bit of spring your way --- get ready, it won’t be long now before you can share in this beautiful spring too!
Tonight…..I’m working on a binding. Feet up. Netflix on.
It’s good to be home even for a short little while!

Bonnie, we all need a "Me Day", so am glad you got outside to enjoy all that beauty. Right this minute, our ground is turning white, and the wind is howling!!! Maybe spring won't come to us in northern Iowa this year. I spent most of my day rolling my huge stash the Bonnie Way!! My shelves are lookin' goooooooooooooooooooood. You take awesome pictures!!

Your butterfly is a very fat and happy Tiger Swallowtail, probably a female judging by her weight. Lovely!! I'm sure she appreciated your wonderful flowers, too!
Glad you took some time off to just enjoy a break. I don't know how you do it Girl...seems like you never stop, so good to see you take some time off! You certainly live in a wonderful area.
I'm thinking our snow is about gone now and Spring is here. Sad because that means my quilting season is over until after the harvest. This year I'm trying to just scale back but I always have a huge garden and my yard takes much of my time. Maybe I will move the sewing machine outside on the covered porch and enjoy them both.

Thanks for sharing. Here in Arkansas it is not yet quite so warm but our dogwoods are blooming, the bradfords are finished and the leaves are filling out the trees, and spring is here and the land is awake and alive. East Tn has Dogwoods out, my azaleas are just now show their faces. OH how I lovethem both.
We actually had to mow last Saturday lol.

It's beautiful there. Here in Nebraska we had a snowstorm for Earth Day. Third one in three weeks. We all keep telling ourselves, "We need the moisture. We need the moisture." But that mantra is wearing a bit thin.
Beautiful scenery!!! It's borderline summer here in Central Florida, but we've had the most amazing 4 days. Cool breezes that keep the temps in the 70s. Wish this was our summer! Enjoy the break!!
I have hyacynths, azaleas, rhody's, snowballs, tulips and daffodils all blooming in my yard. Thankful that DH loves to garden and keep them growing. I love Walla Walla in the spring when the magnolias and dogwoods bloom. Spring! Glorious Spring! Thanks for sharing your beauty of NC.

Beautiful pictures! I'm so jealous you are going to Beaver. My mother's family, Adams and Flowers, were from there. One day I hope to get up there to see some of my geographical roots. Thank you for thinking of those of us still in the snow zone! We got 8 inches Monday night, although a lot of it melted during the day yesterday. I love seeing all the pictures of spring, but I sure wish it would find it's way north! Safe travels today!
