Iphone-o-gram! Georgia in bloom!

One of the things I love about driving trips is I can stop where I want!

About halfway to Columbia South Carolina I discovered that I would be passing right through Augusta Georgia directly at noon.

How perfect!

I called up my friend Siobhan and asked if she would like to meet me for a little bite of lunch somewhere close to the interstate. :-)

For morning was free – so we agreed to meet at the inner bean.

While driving down the road I spotted two of the most gorgeous trees in full pink regalia!

How perfect is this for Valentine's Day?

Spring has definitely arrived in Georgia!.

Spring in Georgia? I'm in southeastern GA, and it certainly isn't springlike here....

Then again, I've never seen a southern spring. Spring in WI is hit and miss..lol.

Great picture in contrast to the 4-6" of new snow falling outside my window right now (Northern Michigan) ... travel safely and enjoy your Valentine's Day! Linda

How beautiful! Thanks for giving us a glimpse of spring!

It's amazing to me how much sooner spring comes in the south. In Minnesota, where I live, the crab apples blossom the first week in May.

Thanks for sharing the pics, I know spring is coming.

We are planting hanging baskets in our greenhouse today. It is a bit gloomy outside but it won't be long and we will be in full bloom too! (Northern Indiana) Safe travels Bonnie and enjoy the company of those southern quilters. I wish I could be there. :)

On my way back from the gym this morning I was amazed at the number of trees in full bloom. Hope it doesn't feeze or there will be no peaches this year.

Georgia has a great deal of spring-time beauty. We used to live there and always went to visit the Azalea Gardens when in bloom. Thanks for sharing and reminding me of those times.

Augusta looks nicer than St Marys.

The trees appear to be red buds, although it is kind of hard to see from the photo. Beautiful, no matter what kind they are.

It seems so strange to see the flowering trees when we had snow yesterday and expecting it again tomorrow. But I am sure it can't be much longer when it will start warming up here in Ky.
Have a fun trip.

And Waycross. Until today, however it has been fairly warm. Today, the picture changed.
