Sister’s Choice Day the Prescott Way!

9 patch centers, flippy corners and a whole lot of scrappy fun!

Another day of simple blocks make fantastic quilts ---and seeing all the blocks in all of their variety from one quilter to the next.

Sew Many Strips – Sew Little Time!

This sweet lady is Lynn, my blind-date dinner partner from the other night!  She was even kind enough to loan me a mat and ruler so I could cut a few more pieces to sew up in my room on the borrowed featherweight.

Whooowhooo ---what did we do??

It turns out that Dad did get his sinus headache thing back under control, and was able to make it up to Prescott to haul me and my multitudinous amounts of luggage back down the hill.

A quick phone call to my sis-in-law turned into an invitation for a spaghetti dinner and an evening of fun conversation and laughter.  One more evening to squeeze in some family time before heading on mmy way home today.

My flight isn’t until this afternoon --- but this girl is READY to go home….so READY for her own bed!

When I really think about it --- I can believe that I haven’t been home since LAST YEAR! ((I left home on December 29th!))

What a fun variety of blocks in that class! And so nice you could spend so much time with your family between classes! Awesome!

Hi, Lynn! Bonnie, it was so fun and I learned some of the "little" things that make such a big difference. Thanks for lots of fun and a good start on two beautiful quilts!

Glad your Dad is better and you were able to get more family time in!... I think you got your dates mixed... you left home Dec 29 ;) but that's ok I'm sure it feels like a very long time. Travelling is fun.. but also tiring and a hassle too.

To the Prescott quilter making the blocks in photo 7 above, with the black "plus sign" in the middle of the 9-patch, and the red/olive/gold: would you be willing to share more photos as your blocks progress? Or perhaps a photo of the layout diagram you've drawn/printed? I'd be very interested in seeing in a bit more detail how you plan to use the color values. I'm intrigued!

Great variety, as varied as the makers themselves! Glad your Dad is feeling better and you squeezed in more family time. Safe travels and say a big "ahhhhhhhhh" when you crawl into your OWN bed tonight. Safe travels and sleep well once home.

Hahaha, deb, I thought the same thing...if it wasn't for quilt cam I would have wondered if she'd been traveling for 11 1/2 months ;)

Have a safe trip. Looking at your pics from sister's choice makes me jealous of all those ladies that have the ability to put some colors together and they look fantastic. Great color sense!!!

Safe travels... Looks like you will be coming back to our first snow of the season. Temps are dropping & snow is supposed to start @ 6pm. (Of course i am out of milk & you know how we panic @ freezing wet weather here in NC & buy out the groceries!). Snow i love, but not the treacherous ice we get...
Your new header is amazing & beautiful.
Sounds like you had a great mix of teaching, friendship & family these last couple of weeks. Thanks for sharing!
