I am still loving my mail this week.
Look what was in the mailbox upon our return from the movies and dinner out yesterday! It’s the March/April issue of Quiltmaker Magazine ---the one I’ve been waiting for!
First off…you will find Victoria Findlay Wolfe’s wonderful “Star Splitter” cover quilt from her book, 15 minutes of play! ((Available in the Quiltville Bookstore or at a shop near you!))
Doesn’t this quilt just beg you to dig into your crumbs and start playing?
As soon as you can find the magazine in your mail box or on your news stands – you can learn more about V’s techniques and what inspires her. After that, you are going to NEED THE BOOK!
If this wasn’t enough…..look what’s starting:
My new mystery: Lazy Sunday!
Lazy Sunday is going to run through 4 issues to completion. So face the facts – you may as well get a subscription because that’s 4 out of 6 issues this year!
And wait – there’s more!
An article on my use of the Easy Angle and Companion Angle rulers, along with great demo photos to help you remember how to use them!
And last but not least:
This issue’s Addicted to Scraps column features a great traditional block called “Betty’s Choice” in greens and neutrals ---which is perfect for the MARCH issue –and St Paddy’s Day! With the International Quilt Festival of Ireland just around the corner in June, I am getting really pumped up about EVERYTHING IRISH ---I love how this little block turned out, all from my scraps!
So let’s have a little give-away shall we?
Leave me a comment below, and since this is the March issue, and we are talking St Patrick’s Day, and Luck of the Irish – I want you to tell me about a situation you found yourself REALLY LUCKY! Be creative! I’m sure you’ve had a stroke of good luck somewhere down the line…tell me about it! Make it fun!
And since my Birthday is Wednesday, I think it would be really lucky for me to draw our winner on the evening of my Birthday – Wednesday, January 23rd! Who knows…we might even announce it during Quilt-Cam time! ((Not sure if there are plans for a birthday dinner out yet – but will let you know!))
((Thanks to Moda, I have enough summer breeze charm packs for give-aways from here until eternity..LOL!))
Luck o’ the Irish, Everyone!

«Oldest ‹Older 401 – 600 of 625 Newer› Newest»Happy Birthday for Wednesday (my neices also), lots of entries for the giveaway, but yoú've "got to be in it to win", thanks for the opportunity. The mag looks bright & Bettys block is interesting. Your studio must have been tooo tidy after being rearranged. Take care.....Annette
Happy Birthday, Bonnie!! My lucky story starts in Tunica, MS, where there are several casinos. I am a chintzy gambler. I take only $20 and when that's gone, I'm done. The way I play is I put my $20 in one cup and play out of that cup. Whatever falls into the tray (of the slot machine) goes into another cup. When the first cup is empty, I cash out whatever is in the other cup. This one time, I'd already cashed out. My husband and friends were still playing. I had maybe 3 quarters in my purse. I put one in the machine and got maybe 2 back. I put one of those quarter in the machine, and it started chinging and dinging. I won $125, and our hotel bill was $126 and change. Not a huge win, but a win nevertheless. It was big to us.
Can't wait to get my copy in the mail! You always inspire me....thank you!!!
You will remember this lucky day.....Our study group had dreamed about having you come give a lecture....thanks to Mary Koval we were able to contact you, you fit us into your schedule, since you would be in our area, we had only two weeks to advertise and get a lecture and workshop filled. We had 99 people come to your lecture and a waiting list for the workshop. That was a great event and we were so lucky you could come.
Lucky to have married the best husband on earth and are blessed with 5 wonderful kids!
Early happy birthday to you! I am lucky that I found you online and Quilt-Cam! You give me just the nudge I need to stop knitting for a while and get busy on some baby/children's quilts to donate to shelters. And scraps? Oh I have PLENTY!! I am going to work on a stacked bricks quilt this afternoon. I had the scrappy bricks part stitched for years and just waiting in a baggie for me to do something with them. Now to decide if I want to use a grey or red for the in-betweens.
While Quilt-Cam is on, I'll be working on some crumb blocks. My new mantra has been taken from you: If you think your fabric is ugly, cut it smaller.
Happy birthday! The Lord has really blessed me with a wonderful husband who supports my love of quilting!

I'm lucky is more ways than I can count! I have a wonderful husband of over 50 years, 2 terrific kids and 2 splendid grands. And that's only the beginning. I feel lucky to be a quilter and to have found your blog. You inspire me and I find I am really using up the stash and the scraps. Thanks for all the things you do for us.
Magazine looks great! Can't wait for my copy to arrive.
Happy Birthday!
I’m not very lucky however I thought I was lucky when I found out you were coming to Australia in in October 2016 this will give me time to develop a good stash (just new to quilting) tried it 20 years ago when you had to cut templates from sand paper. Had four children so gave it away. Pauline
Hello Bonnie and All:
I count myself really lucky when I found your blog when looking for something else online. I was just about going to give up quilting and you taught how to use leaders and enders along with string quilting. I have now finished UFOs and made pillows and bookmarks for this past Christmas. I cannot miss a day of your adventures and teaching....yes, it was a lucky day for me!!
Happy birthday! I don't subscribe to any magazines, but the mystery quilt might be enough to get me to subscribe.
I consider the luckiest thing to happen to me in a long time, is the day I clicked on Quiltmaker website and then proceeded to Quiltville Quips & Snips. I have joined you on several quiltcams and ordered books all to learn more about crumbs and strips. The best day was when I decided to join in my first mystery quilt ever. Each Friday was so exciting getting the next clue. During Christmas break I finished all my pieces and am now starting to put everything together. I never want to stop working on it, but sleep is necessary I have found to be able to function properly. I followed your journey out west and back, travelling vicariously through you. My luckiest day was the day I met Bonnie Hunter. God Bless You(and your family) for all the marvelous things you give to me and other quilters and the quilting world!!!!
Are we lucky or are we blessed? I'm lucky to be here after a breast cancer diagnosis, surgery and treatment 3 years ago. Doc suggested (quite out of the blue and for no reason) I have my first mammogram (I was 48). Bingo! A cancer was found. I'm cured, quilting, studying nursing at uni and becoming a nana for the second time later in the year. Yep, I'm lucky and blessed!
Also aren't we lucky that technology allows us to join together with people from all over the world, learn from each other, have fun together and enrich our lives and those around us. Couldn't have imagined that 20 years ago!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR 23RD. I HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY. :)
WELL ALMOST A YEAR AGO I DECIDED THAT I COULD NO LONGER BE A COUCH POTATO AND NEEDED TO START WALKING AND LOSE WEIGHT. ( I HAVE LOST 20 KGS THAT'S 44 LBS) SO FAR. ANYWAY ON ONE OF MY LONG EARLY MORNING WALKS I FOUND A LOVELY, CRISP DEW COVERED $20 BILL! I KINDA THINK OF IT AN AN ENCOURAGEMENT AWARD FROM "UP ABOVE", AND FELT SO LUCKY!
Beautiful block Bonnie!! My little bit of recent luck was finding the PERFECT quilt backing 75% off!! Woo!
One of my lucky days was the day 13 years ago when Cousin Jilly and I sat next to each other at a Sunday quilt class. We did not know each other but we like to say that we started talking and haven't stopped since! Quilting friends are the BEST! I would love to win the drawing. Thanks Bonnie and Happy Birthday Melody Brown
I just watched a half hour of quiltcam- the first time I have caught it. I finished my Easy Street top last week. I started on Jan 4th and boy- was it a lot of work! The sense of accomplishment when I finished was amazing. I wonder how many people actually made or are making an Easy Street.
I believe in God's providence over 'luck', and in that regard could give examples of so-o-o many things, but one thing I find a special blessing: my son. I was single for nearly 11 years after my first marriage failed, and finally married again. After two years, and in my 44th year, we were expecting! That baby is now 14, healthy, bright and a joy to have, and now taller than me and his dad!
WOW, Bonnie, you're all over that magazine! When will you just have your own monthly publication? LOL. I have been lucky loads of times in my life. I was lucky to find the right man to marry, lucky to have my 2 wonderful children without problems, lucky to be able to travel to see my family in Canada every year, lucky to have friends that support me, lucky to get a spot in your class last year at the Vermont Quilt Festival. I'm grateful for all the times I've been lucky in my life. I'd love to be lucky enough to win this prize! Thanks. Shelley.

Happy Birthday, Bonnie! I became the luckiest gal in the world when I rescued my dog, Sophie. She was hanging outdoors on a porch stoop from a door knob at the end of a leash in an ice storm. Poor little thing was 8 weeks old and the tips of her little ears were frozen. Now, you might think that she is the luckiest gal in the world, but no not really. It's me because she is the best dog in the world. She grew up into a BIG dog and she is protective and loving and sweet, just all the things you need. AND she loves to quilt! I raised her right! She is my BFF and I am so very lucky to have her.
Happy birthday Bonnie oh if I only lived in he USA I would by the magazine :-( can it be sent overseas do you know.?
Looks like a must-have issue of Quiltmaker. I'll be watching for it on the newsstand. Sending you early Happy Birthday wishes Bonnie! Hope you have a special day!
My latest "luck" was winning a copy of the last Quiltmaker 100 Blocks issue on the Blog Giveaway. I was thrilled! I feel lucky every day and grateful for good health and wonderful friends....
Love this magazine and all the creative work you do!!
I'm waiting to buy this one
In the '70s I won $100 on a lottery ticket. That was Part 1 of my good luck; Part 2 was buying my realtor husband the sport coat he needed. Its good to share good luck.
Lucky - well, I've been waiting for Star Trek fabric to come back - lo and behold it's aT Joann's. The one I wanted from them online is gone - but $20 a yard on ebay. I don't think so. So, I went to my Joann's to get thread - and there was my fabric - hidden. 3 yards later and on sale, I am a happy camper! Lucky - yes - and the fact that my favorite quilter (you!) shares a birthday with my middle daughter makes me a lucky lady indeed!
I'd love a chance to win. I'm new to your flock, I got one of your books for Christmas and I'm making the Bargello quilt - :)
I enjoy all the blogs and information I get from your quilting and traveling. Would enjoy a win.
I was lucky enough to get a second chance with my darling hubby. We met once and dated a few times, and then life got in the way. We met by chance again about 12 months later, and have been together for 19 years. Best thing that ever happened to me!! Can't wait to see the magazine in person!
I would love to win. I was lucky last year to be able to spend St. Patty's day with wonderful quilters sw apping item we donated to secret fabric fairy.
I was lucky enough to have my DM pick out my DH for me . 34 years later he is still a keeper!
Best wishes for your birthday, I hope it is a great day.

Happy Birthday for Wednesday Bonnie.
I'm lucky to have a very supportive husband who:
- doesn't complain when I buy MORE fabric
- doesn't complain when fabric and blocks are all over the lounge room
- doesn't complain about the sewing machine noise when he is watching TV
- doesn't mind waiting in the car while I HAVE to go into every quilt shop we pass
- NEVER asks "Why do we need another quilt?"
etc. etc.
I am blessed and ever so lucky.
Happy Birthday, Bonnie!!! The luckiest day for me in a long time was the day in November that I clicked on Quiltmaker website and from there to Quiltville's Quips & Snips. I have watched several quiltcams and gotten several books. I can tell that I have learned a great deal about quilting in just a short time. I joined my first mystery quilt with Easy Street. Over Christmas break, I finished all my pieces and have started work on the blocks. Therefore, I consider the luckiest thing to happen me is Bonnie Hunter. God Bless You(and your family) for all you do for me and other quilters and the quilting world at large. I tried to send this before, but it didn't show up, so if this is a repeat, SORRY!!! Thank You for everything.
I won a treadle head on eBay for $12, and even though I got nailed for the shipping and handling ($30)I continue to feel lucky, because I learned tons about restoring old machines. Happy Birthday! I feel lucky to have found you and your blog. You are a blessing in my life!
Happy b-day! I can hardly wait until I can get that March issue! Summer Breeze and your seam guide would help to warm up this winter!
I was really lucky at age 17. My brother and I were spending a week in Paris, but we were so hungry! We didn't have enough money because the hotel was twice the cost it was supposed to be. In the Louvre, we ran into some old friends who gave loaned us enough money to be able to eat for the next few days!
That cover quilt looks fantabulous!! New word :) I think I'll start another mystery quilt. I'll be able to use up some of the fabrics left over from doing "Easy Street" -- I think?! :)
I am lucky to have good health and great family and friends. Thanks for the great giveaway.
I've never been one for getting in to the whole luck / lucky ducky person thing...BUT I Do LOVE a big pot of Luck's Beans served with warm buttery conrbread! :)
I am lucky to have a job to support my quilting habit...lol I always tell my hubby that I have enough fabric to quilt until I'm 80 and that's oh let's see that's about another 20+ years. Love, love, love your blog and the projects you show us. So fun!!!
Hi Bonnie. Happy birthday for Wednesday!
My LUCKY story happened quite a few years ago, but is most memorable. Our family was dining at a well-known restaurant and received our order of their famous complimentary cheese toast. To our surprise, my husband was greeted with a piece displaying a perfectly spread-eagled long-legged insect, fried onto the the top of the bread! Startled, and somewhat amused, we called the waiter over who was just as startled. He apologised profusely and quickly took the specimen to the kitchen. After a short delay, we heard raucous laughter! Hilarious!! Before we left, the manager came out with a fresh piece of toast, and a voucher for a free meal for the whole family. Talk about LUCKY!
I would love to receive a subscription to the magazine. I love your fun approach and fantastic, motivating ideas!
Oh Bonnie - I just love reading your blogs. If I were to win something, would you post it to Israel??? I've never won anything... and any bit of fabric would help. I've been cutting 1 1/2" and 2" squares like crazy. I intend making several quilts from the three books I have of yours! Lotsaluv from Marlyn in the Holy Land
I have owned an easy angle ruler for over ten years and have never used it. I guess I need to get a subscription to change that. I love all you do for quilting. I love the double irish chain I made, all thanks to you. Thanks again Bonnie!
Oh MY! I want that magazine! I need that magazine! Been feelin' stressed lately and this would give me just the lift I need! (And I think that might just be the nudge I need to get a subscription....after all, couldn't leave the quilt unfinished could I?).
Summer Breeze is what we could use about now!!
Sending Birthday Wishes your way, Bonnie for great health and happiness for years to come. Thank you for all you do for us.
my luck comes as blessings, too many to name here! working on the borders for Bricks in the Barnyard from the workshop in McKinney a couple of weeks ago!
I really like to call it "blessed" and just be thankful to God for all the good that comes my way.
Happy HAPPY Birthday! May you have lots of cake and ice cream! Beautiful cover... think I may need to get both book and magazine! Happy Quilting!
I have tried to get on the "Comments" section ALL day off and on, so glad to be here! I'm one in a million others for the giveaway, but I'm in so that's great. sorry that I fell asleep and missed Quilt-cam, but maybe next time.
I love this magazine, and will be watching my mail box daily for it to arrive. As for luck, I would have to say I was lucky that I listened to my fellow teachers 32 years ago at a "teacher's night out" and did not go home when I had planned to, because if I had I would not have met the man who I have been married to for the past 31 years this coming April. He is wonderful and I consider myself very lucky to have him in my life.
It is difficult for me to think of "lucky" moments in my life since I consider what others think of as luck, I see as Blessings. My life is FULL of so many blessings that they would create a very long list. I will just say, I have been very blessed.
I'm sure it will be another wonderful mystery quilt! I really need to subscribe to QM !
I look forward to more quilt cams.
Happy Birthday Bonnie! And thank you for the chance at the giveaway!
Fingers crossed...........
Is it just me or do those Lazy Sunday mystery colors looke familiar?!! HA I used to enter online sweepstakes with great regularity and one year I was REALLY lucky. Won cash, a trip to LA, several other things. And ONE time I was at the casino and won a $3500 jackpot. WOW!! But still sure I've lost more than I won. UGH. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Bonnie, we're both Jan. girls (mine was the 4th). Thanks for the giveaway.
I guess I'll have to resubscribe! I'd let mine lapse, but with a new mystery I'll have to re-up.
I'm lucky to be born into a good family, in America, to have been loved as a child, fed, clothed and educated. I'm lucky my parents and grandparents taught me to be honest, respectful and that I could achieve my goals if I wanted them bad enough to work for them. My luck continues by having a loving husband, great children and health, happiness and peace around me.
Happy Birthday Bonnie!!! This would be a fun treat to win for sure. Thanks for all your quilting tips and fun times
Happy. Birthday. Bonnie!! My lucky day was my wedding day. Even though my marriage only lasted 35 years (!) I have two wonderful children and four fantastic grands!
I feel I am lucky and blessed to have found your blog. I can't wait to check out the magazine. Happy birthday, hope you have a good one. Mine is the 27th so maybe I'll get lucky and win.
Nancy
I know this is going to sound sappy but I was lucky for 17 years. My Dad had a severe stroke which left him partially paralyzed and I got to take care of him. I know it sounds strange to call that lucky but I feel so blessed that I was able to give back to him all the love and care he gave to me.
When I was backpacking in the Scottish highlands we were sightseeing using the local bus system. What we didnt know was the summer season timetable was not starting for another month and found ourselves stuck by the side of the road a long long way from anywhere! Lucky for me I a) had a male companion so was prepared to try to hitch hike b) we got picked up fairly quickly by some elderly locals who were happy to give us a lift back to town c)despite some terrible driving (think he needed new glasses!) we got to our destination safely! I love the green block, but after making a very very large quilt for my in laws, called Luck of the Irish I am over all things green at present!
Happy Birthday! And I have been lucky enough to win 2 completed quilts and a couple of guild quilt tops.
My car was struck by lightening just one month before we moved from OKlahoma to Texas. It had been parked under a tree in the same spot since I bought it in 2004. I was LUCKY to not be sitting in it watching the storm! Love the magazine! If I win, I will share mine with a friend!
Oh my gosh! I love all of those quilts! Love the colors in Lazy Sunday. Need to make a green and tan quilt. Love the Star Splitter scrap quilt! My niece got me a subscription to Quiltmaker for Christmas, so I hope it starts with this issue. If not, I'll have to find one to buy. Happy birthday on Wednesday Bonnie!
Happy Birthday !!! Magazine cover looks really nice. I would love to be lucky enough to win.
Happy Birthday! And what a nice issue of the magazine. Well, besides being lucky enough (blessed enough) for my husband to marry me...the 2nd best thing was several years ago when I won a year of having a chef come to my home once a week to cook a gourmet meal for 4. Well, we have 6 in our home...and daughters who cook...so I was allowed to take the cash alternative of $9,000. Nothing since has measured up to that!! Unless MODA sent me a bundle of every line of fabric they have...that just might do it!
those are great stories! Mine is that I have the "luck of the irish" and always win stuff- I met a woman at a party who said she was a quilter and she knew me because I always win everything at my Guild meetings! Hope I win this and- happy Birthday Bonnie!
My luckiest day was the day I married my dearest husband. He searched out not one but 6 machines when I asked for a vintage sewing machine for Christmas. Each older than the one before. 3 1950-40's Japanese machines; a 1915 Singer; a 1905 Singer; and then to top it off after watching Quiltcam with me, a working treadle. I am very lucky!
woohoo... another mystery ! pick me, pick me !! and I already have fabrics in mind for this one !!!
What makes me lucky?? Sharing a birthday with you!!
I'll also be celebrating another year on the 23rd. I'm also lucky because I have a twin to share it with. I'm so lucky to have someone who experiences the same life changes, up and downs and is my best friend.
Happy Birthday Bonnie!!! I hope you have a great birthday and I won't see you at Quilt Cam - we're going out for dinner.
I think I am very lucky or rather I am blessed to have met and married my wonderful husband when I was 17. That was just over 40 years ago. He supports my quilting habit, ehm, hobby and thinks everything I make is "nice".
I enjoyed following along with Easy Street and saved all of the steps to try later when I have time. Thanks for sharing it with us.
I'm a lucky breast cancer survivor and I thank God every day for the mammogram that found my cancer at a very early stage. I'm now in my 12th year post-cancer and I'll always be grateful! Thanks for the giveaway and I hope your birthday is fabulous.
I am lucky since this year Santa brought me an ipad. For the first time, I could take you downstairs with me to my sewing room and work on a project along with you. I enjoyed it so much, ty!
love all your things. Hope you bring alot of your seam guides to NH in April. Can't wait to meet you in person
When I win things, they tend to be a little odd ^.^ For example, when my kids were little, I won a gumball machine by guessing the number of jelly beans inside it. And I won a pair of cowboy boots in an online giveaway for a razor company. The boots don't sound too odd until you realize that I live in suburbs of a city in the northeastern US. Not exactly cowboy country, LOL! So I hope to change my luck and win the seam guide and charm pack. They would be really useful!
My luckiest day...I'm not sure, I feel there have been so many. The day I married my husband, gave birth to my boys, and then my grand daughter, and another on the way. Life just doesn't get much better...quilting is the icing.
Have a great Birthday Day! We love to celebrate birthdays at our house. Our girls are both adopted and we feel lucky and fortunate each day for the gift their parents gave to us...Both girls had beautiful weddings this year, which included members of their birth families! We are all quilters!
Bonnie enjoy your special day and many happy quilting days in the next year!
Happy Birthday early, Bonnie. I've had lots of luck in my life. Like my parents being the oness who adopted me so I had wonderful parents and grandparents. A grandmother with all the patience in the world who taught me to cook, sew, embroider, crochet. Lcuky to meet my husband on the commute to San Francisco. Lucky to meet my birth family at the ripe old age of 57. Really lucky when a semi pulling a huge trailer and forklift ran a red light and hit me in just the right spot not to cause my pinto to explode or kill me.
Greetings from Maple Ridge, BC
One lucky day was when I won the block of the month at our guild. The block was a "Sunbonnet Sue" reading a book. I added three more blocks and was able to make a small quilt for my grand-niece. Anika is 10 years old now and an avid reader!
Happy birthday Bonnie
Best wishes from Bev in BC
Happy Birtday, Bonnie- I hope to learn more from you even though my quilts are not as complicated as yours. I just can't sew triangles- the bias gets me. Enjoy the quilt cams and look forward to see the new Quiltmaker. Keep up the Quilt Cam!
Linda
Happy Early Birthday!! I am lucky that my husband doesn't know my passwords to my eBay and Etsy accounts or he'd know how much I spend on my stash and vintage items. Yes, I've started bidding on vintage machines thanks to you...I love them :) Enjoy your birthday week!
Magazine looks awesome!!! Thanks for the opportunity to possibly win.
An early happy birthday, Bonnie! Fun to see you back on quilt cam. I once won a computer with accessories at a Chinese auction. It was our first computer. That was 21 years ago!! Currently, we have two PCs, several laptops and a bunch of smartphones!
I hope your birthday is stellar!!! Lucky...well, I am lucky my daughter was stationed in Tampa and I got to go house/pet sit for 9 months (warm!!!) when she was deployed to Afghanistan (and returned safely). I whined on a quilting group about the lack of quilt shops which was seen and answered by a lovely quilter who invited me to her guild meeting, took me on a private shop hop AND invited me to participate in her bee group weekly! I made life-long friends with the ladies in the bee and I got to see your trunk show with Brandon Piecemakers! Lucky, lucky, lucky!!! And totally blessed!
Happy birthday! All of the projects look great! My scraps are overflowing again! So best get going on my scrappy projects!
Lucky to find time each week to quilt and knit. Happy birthday!
Have a wonderful birthday! How lucky am I? Let me tell you, I received this email a couple weeks ago:
Hi Gaila, I'm happy to tell you that your name was drawn as the winner of Bonnie Hunter's String Fling book on Quilty Pleasures, the blog of Quiltmaker magazine. This is late in coming to you because of the holidays—everything piled up and I forgot to pick winners until today. My apologies, but hopefully this will be a nice surprise for you. If you'll send me your mailing address, I'll get your package ready to go.
Thanks for visiting and commenting on Quilty Pleasures.
Kind Regards,Diane Harris
WOO HOO!!! Got it in the mail a couple days ago!!!
happy birthday bonnie!
just started receiving your blog and am enjoying it very much.
Can't wait to get the magazine......I hope you have a great birthday and many more to you Bonnie......and the fabric makes me want speing really bad.......
My luckiest day was when I learned about comfort quilts. Now I make them and it has added so much to my life. As a former nurse, now disabled, I struggled with feelings of being "useless" until I discovered comfort quilts. Now I know that I am doing something useful and contributing to my community because my comfort quilts bring warmth, comfort, and love to others who are going thru such difficult times.
My all time best luck has been marrying my Mr. right at age (gasp) 17 and still being married 45 years later. I'm a very lucky and thankful girl!
Happy birthday! Some folks would say I'm lucky but I call it blessed. Just got back in town from the birth of my first grandchild (a precious little girl). Didn't know if I was ever going to get a grandchild but turns out this year I'm going to get two (official announcement later this week)!!! So I've got a lot of quilting and sewing to do.
How fun! I am working on the Mystery, and making very good progress. I feel very lucky to have found your site and blog. I also scored a wonderful beige 301A form a quilter not too far away on Craig's list. I had been looking at them on eBay but your not so great luck with the shipping had me rethinking that choice. So today was my lucky day but if I win that will be another Lucky Day . Going to order Quiltmaker now just so I can follow your
One time when we went to the state fair, I had four dimes in my hand, on the fourth dime, I landed right in the middle of the Red Circle and won the Giant St. Bernard Dog, I had to carry that thing the whole time I was at the fair, pretty cool but I was pretty small and that was a Big Dog, I had that thing til I moved out of my parents house :)
Lucky and blessed to have a new friend that loves to quilt..we are working on easy street...thanks Bonnie
You are one busy lady, Bonnie!! That issue looks like a lot of fun!! And just in case work gets in the way on Wed.....Happy Birthday!!
Wishing You A Very Happy Birthday!
Some would say I'm lucky but I call it blessed. We just got back in town from the birth of our first grandchild (a girl!). I didn't think I was ever going to be a grandmother but this year it will happen twice (official announcement next week)! So I have a lot of quilting and sewing to do. Happy birthday!
Three years and nine months ago, I was rear ended and pushed into the car in front of me. . .not once but TWICE! From that day on, I ALWAYS have a headache and I had neck surgery because I couldn't address an envelope in less than 20 minutes because my hand/arm would be numb and I couldn't move it. I gave up cooking, gardening and cleaning. . .well, giving up the cleaning wasn't so hard!!! LOL
I'm lucky that I was able to walk & drive away from that accident. I'm lucky that I have a health team that works me so that I can quilt and to complete the exercises to help me continue to quilt. I'm lucky that my husband of 32 1/2 years cooks, cleans and encourages me to quilt. I'm lucky that our two daughters include us in their lives and best of all, I'm lucky to be a grandmother. So even though there has been a lot of change in my life, I count my blessings every day and like an earlier contributor, I'm lucky I get to get up every day!
Well every day I wake up is pretty lucky!! I was born with the luck of the Irish as I am of Irish decent born Colleen Reilly with brothers Michael Reilly and Patrick Reilly.
I am a lucky to have 5 grandchildren that live near me I see/hold/play with them every week . The oldest three are sewing with me .... that is a mixed blessing as "prepping " for their projects cut into my sewing time. The second and third eldest made yoyos then pinned them onto a styrofoam tree form and gave that to their mother for Christmas. The oldest is making doll quilts to give her friends when they ( her friends and thier American Girl Dolls) come for a doll and girl sleep over party.
Having grandchildren to love and spend time with is the "luckiest " thing I have
happy birthday Bonnie . My most luck is in finding my hubby
My lucky time was 1 month after I and my 2 children had gotten safely out of an abusive relationship with my husband. I won a microwave which at that time was valued at $400. I had completely for gotten about the ticket. It confirmed that we had done the right thing. That microwave lasted about 15 yrs. Thanks for the chance to be lucky again.

Wishing you the best birthday ever and I do plan on joining you that night. Since you showed Betty's Choice and talking about St Patricks Day, my birthday is March15 and my last name is March and I am half Irish so I think I need to do this block for sure. Would love to win your giveaway and oh, by the way, I am a piler too.(I almost feel like I just stood up at an AA meeting and admitted my vice).
The magazine looks like it is filled with lots of great ideas. I was lucky a couple of months ago when I applied internally for a job & got it. This new job has taken the stress out of my life. Thanks for the chance to win.
I work in a quilt shop in Plano Texas. I was at the shop one day when the owner was wondering what to do about classes for the upcoming year. She called out of her office and asked, if you could get one teacher to come and teach here, who would it be? Without any hesitation I said Bonnie Hunter! She googled the name, called the number, lo and behold, who answered but "the One" herself. I was in the background doing some silent (and some not so silent) screaming and as the owner talked she had to keep shushing me. That was 2011.
I still feel lucky that I get to work at such a fun shop and that you, my dear Bonnie, came back to Fabric Fanatics in 2012 and will be back in 2013 and 2014. I am always inspired and motivated by you. Thank you for all that you do for all of us.
I was working in a subsidiary of a "larger" Company. The big bosses announced the subsidiary had been sold and they would try to find us jobs in the "larger" Company. I ended up in a temporary position with six months to find a permanent slot. The temporary position turned into a permanent position from which I moved through a series of promotions until I retired with 30 years of service. I don't know if it was luck that the subsidiary was sold or if I was blessed with all that happened after.
Love the pattern in the Quiltmaker. Thanks for the chance to win.
Happy early Birthday Bonnie. You are the best. Love your patterns. Sure hope I am a winner.

Happy early Birthday Bonnie. You are the best. Love your patterns and thanks for sharing.
Happy Birthday come Wednesday Bonnie Hunter. I'm happy you got to visit with your family in Arizona during your last trip. OH I just happened to be in the midst of the Easy Street Mystery Quilt along and was searching on eBay for a wider harp machine (of course after making ALL my units for that week :-) and stumbled on a Viking 870Q with only 10 MINUTES to go!! Well I smacked in my bid and waiting, watching the clock tick down... 3 minutes, and my bid went up under my reserve but I'm still hanging in there -- 1 minute *I'm dancing in my computer room* watching the screen Could it BE MINE? YES!!!!! The winning bid!! I squealed so loud one of my cats jumped (poor meowmom has lost her mind Again!). It arrived within a week and while listed as "used" and gone over -- Her and I have bonded and she looks Brand New to me! Yes, I am so Lucky to win the bid on the machine I hope to be able to quilt my Easy Street Mystery Quilt with.
I won a car once! I received a call from the sweepstakes agency, telling me I had won a car. I started screaming (having no idea what the car was like at the time!), and when I got off the phone, called my husband at work. He looked it up and told me - it was the car just like the one in Fast and Furious. A race car. A street legal rally car; and we were in our 40's. Not exactly the demographics they were looking for, but our 23 year old son loved it! We kept it for about 8 months and sold it. By the way - it was SO MUCH FUN TO DRIVE! LOL!
Well Happy Birthday Girl!
My Son turns 21 on Thursday, it's killing me, it seems like yesterday he was just a tike.
I'm lucky to be alive, I went septic w/MRSA & ended up losing both knees & an elbow. My family, the computer & quilting keep me from losing my mind.
Thanks for all you do!
Happy Birthday Bonnie!
January 23rd is my wedding anniversary as well so I guess it is a lucky day for both of us!
Thanks for the chance to win.
I was lucky enough to win some fat quarters and a jellly roll from our last shop hop here on Oahu. The best part was that I can use some of the purple fat quarters for Easy Street! (I'm still on step 1) I hope you have a very happy birthday! Thanks for the giveaway!
Hello Bonnie,
Happy Birthday!!! I'm so glad you had a good homecoming!
Thanks for the giveaway!!!
I don't have much luck, but I did win a charm pack once. Thanks for the opportunity to win something!
Ohhh I left my lucky story message and now the page says Loading, Loading! ARGH
I was looking for a new sewing machine with a bigger harp, because I somehow got involved with the Easy Street Mystery Quilt :-) I find one (after I finished my clues for that week of course), and there is 10 minutes left on the Auction!! Stick my bid in and watch... 4 minutes left and my bid goes up, but not past my reserve... 1 minute, I'm dancing in my computer room and *Squeal* so loud one of my cats jumped. YES I won and they already know their MeowMom is crazy :-)
I don't have much luck, but I did win a charm pack once. Thanks for the opportunity to win something!
I was at a conference many years ago and they were having a drawing for 3 prizes, a wii, a nook, and something else. Well, names were drawn for all wii and the other thing and were given away, but the person who won the nook wasn't there. So they drew again. And again. And again. The last time they drew my name and I was there. I still have the nook.
thanks for the contest and enjoy your time at home!
Oops, I left my comment on the wrong page, sorry!
I was really lucky to find a lovely working Singer 201 in a nice cabinet for $25 on Craigslist, and it was only 10 miles from home!
Hi Bonnie, thanks for another give-away!! I know Melody already said this, but I totally agree with her. I feel so lucky that we picked seats next to each other and have been friends ever since. (and she is right, we haven't stopped talking since then..hehe). That chance meeting has lead us on a path of an awesome friendship! One of the paths it took us on together is meeting you!! HOW LUCKY IS THAT!!!!! I hope our paths all cross again before 2015, but if not...Erie and the La Nie awaits!!! Happy Birthday on Wednesday...well we made it through the first of the 50's (mines on Sunday)...a fast year..but great year!! Thanks again!
Happy Birthday! I have lots of family birthdays in January: a niece, two nephews, my grandfather, my BIL and my SIL. None of them are on Jan 23 though. I hope I win! I enter loads of giveaways and never have, but someday will be my lucky day!
beaniekins84(at)gmail(dot)com
Yes, I believe that "Luck" is just another name of "God." I have been very "lucky" to have a wonderful husband who supports me in my hobby. I have wonderful machines and all the goodies that I need to be creative. The internet provides such inspiration and so many cyber friends who are there to support and challenge us. I am so "lucky" to find your site and experience all the gifts you bestow on us. Will look forward to being "lucky" enough to be able to take a class from you someday!
Happy birthday Bonnie !!! Finished Easy Street this week ...absolutely love it! Thanks for your talent and willingness to share it.
This issue looks like a wonderful issue for sure. It should be called the Bonnie Hunter special edition in your honor. Happy birthday early too, BTW. I would love to be lucky to win this great giveaway too. I once called into a radio station on my way to work to try and win a round of golf. Later that morning, when I got to my desk, a co-worker said she heard my name on the radio that morning. It so happened that I won, but didn't know it until the friend told me. That was such a surprise and I felt lucky all week.
I consider myself lucky to have a wonderful hubby, son and lots of great friends!!!!! These are tops on my list. Two weeks ago, my name was put into the proverbial hat with many others who had made 5 or more donation quilts for our guild, they pulled out my name and now I have a beautiful quilt rack!!!!!!
Have a fantastic birthday Bonnie and may all of your wishes come true!!!!
Dear Bonnie, my lucky day was when a bunch of my friends started talking about Easy Street and I decided to do it too. I have had so much fun with it and talking and keeping up with each other. Thanks so much. I can't wait to do another of your mystery quilts and watch you on quiltcam.
Can't wait to read that issue! Great preview pics. My family was really lucky because my husband found a BETTER new job just before he was to be laid off. It enable us to finally buy a house of our own where I have a neat little sewing corner. Perfect for sewing scrap quilts and watching Quiltcam. Thanks, Bonnie!
First of all, I hope you have a wonderful birthday!
As for my luckiest moment . . . definitely would have to be having my adorable son (he is 1.5 now)! To sweeten the deal, he is so well behaved that he likes to sit and watch me sew. It is so wonderful to watch how excited he is when I finish sewing something for him too! :)
Thank you for the opportunity to enter your giveaway!
I caved and subscribed!

Hi Bonnie,
The luck of the Irish is shining down on our family! We are expecting a bundle of joy from our wonderful Irish daughter-in-law this summer. I make scrappy baby quits for young mothers who are struggling financially. So now I get to make one for our own baby. I have used many of your patterns, just cut them down in size. Thank you for the chance to win. I love Quiltmaker magazine! And thank you for being so generous.

I think I have had a lot of lucky things in my life, a wonderful husband, three great sons. One beautiful grand daughter, and another one on the way.....
My quilting lucky day was many years ago, when my sister bought a sewing machine with her baby sitting money !! after she learned how to use it she taught me ! Her Birthday is St Patty's Day, If I win I will make her something....
Happy Birthday to You ♪♫♪♫ Happy Birthday ♪♫♪ to YOU
Happy Birthday Bonnie! You asked us to tell you about something lucky that happen to us. I didn't have to think about this very long. Its my dearest friend in the whole world. My husband of nearly 46 years is the luckiest thing that has ever happen to me.. He has supported every creative bone in my body. Has always had something nice to say about my quilts even if they didn't turn out quite as I had liked. He's never fussed about money spent on fabric but has always asked to see the newest yardage I have drug home. :-). I am truley blessed.
Happy birthday Bonnie!
Everything Irish is always good
I'm really lucky to have the family I have. I thank God every day for them! Thanks, Bonnie, for the giveaway. It would be great if I won, because I moved about 1/2 year ago, and have yet to receive my Quiltmaker subscription after notifying them. :(
I'm lucky to have a gorgeous little granddaughter to love and make quilts, blankies and floor cushions for. Lucky to have held my loved little grandson in my arms before he went to Heaven - at 1 day old, lucky to have found you Bonnie, my daughter lovers scrap quilts and I'm now planning a very colourful scrappy for her. Lucky to belong to the quilting community.
Happy birthday. It was my lucky day when I attended your trunk show at Auburn, IN quilt show several years ago. Working on "Short Trip"
Hi Bonnie, I felt so lucky last year when I finally won some fabric from blog give aways! it took about a year of reading and blog commenting to win, and then I won two things in three months!
I am lucky to have learned to quilt and to love quilting so much, and to find the wonderful group of ladies in the quilt guild that I'm in. I really enjoy the quilt cam, and your blog.
Many years ago when I was a single mom and money was very tight and I was wondering where the rent money was going to come from, I won $500.00 dollars in a Pepsi contest. It was an answer to prayer. I love the Summer Breeze fabric lines, both I and II and have made quilts from both of them. Blue and yellow is my favorite color combination in quilting. Thanks for all you do to keep us all motivated in our quilting.
About a year ago my husband was out hunting while we were home in Indiana visiting family. He was out in the middle of the woods, all alone, when he became very ill. He had to walk quite a ways back to his truck then drive himself to the hospital. Found out he was suffering a heart attack and had to have surgery. So, I am lucky to still have my husband of almost 20 years and our twin boys still have their father. His guardian angel was certainly working overtime that day!
I use the self check out all the time when grocery shopping. Not wanting to have to go to the bank, I requested $100 cash back. Once I got home I realized I forgot to pick up the cash. What were the chances that someone honest enough came through after me. Well chances were very good. When I called the store, they had the cash and I could come pick it up, just showing them my receipt. The person did not leave their name or anything, so I had no way of thanking them. So I wrote a live letter in our local newspaper in hopes that they would read it and know how very thankful I was. I live by the golden rule and I guess you reap what you sew. And since I am part Irish, I guess I had the Luck of the Irish that day.
I love the split star and the irish block and green is not my favorite color although I have learned to like it from Easy Street. I was so very lucky to meet my husband when I was hired to teach at a small rural high school in Eastern North Carolina. I was divorced and looking for a change in jobs. We were married for 33 wonderful years and my meeting him was the luckiest day for me.
Happy Birthday. I am looking forward to the mystery quilt in the magazine. I absolutely love the colors!
I'm sure you will have a wonderful Birthday, Bonnie. And I hope it's filled with quilty stuff.
I would love to win on Wed. But if not, I will be happy for the lucky person whomdoes win. Kitty Longo
I had a birthday last Monday and the luckiest surprise for me was finding your website (several years ago) and making your mystery quilts. I'm putting the borders on Easy Street and love it!!!
Thanks for the opportunity to win - I never win anything, but I'd love to win this.
OOH! What a long list of comments! Thanks for the Giveaway and Happy, Happy Birthday for Wednesday!
My lucky day was going into labour with our first child, a son, who looked just like my husband on the ultrasound picture, but of course, in those days, they did not tell you the gender!
Take care, Leslie
Love the green and white block. Thanks for a chance to win.
Happy Birthday! I winter in sunny FL and am only able to bring w/ and ship a small portion of my scraps. My latest stoke of luck was at the local thrift shop. In a basket was a gallon bag of fabric rolled up for a whole $2.72. On the the out side was the ugliest 1960's floral print. When I got home I unrolled it. It was rolled very tight and in the center was scads of Feed Sacks! Thus far I have not cut them, just stroked them and loved them.
Happy early birthday, Bonnie. Mine is on the 27th and I'll be 60!
I am fortunate to be able to do what I love doing, after retiring.
Love seeing new quilters come into the "family".
Glad you liked your Easy Street sign! It was SO appropriate!
Happy 50th birthday, Bonnie. Mine is the 27th and I'll be 60!
I'm very fortunate to be able to do what I love to do, after retiring from the postal service. I had a Mother-in-law who taught me to hand piece and hand quilt, MANY years ago and I have enjoyed quilting every since. Now it's not done by hand, however!
Glad you liked your Easy Street sign! Our Friday Sewing Group, along with others who can't attend, enjoy your blog and quilt cams.
I just returned from a 3 day quilting retreat with my small quilt group. What a time we had -- learning new techniques, eating, laughing, quilting, knitting, tatting and of course, EATING. Would love to win the book and love your blog.
Years and years ago I was lucky enough to win an entire set of Omnigrid rulers and that's a lot of rulers! Another lucky quilter won the entire set of Omnigrid mats so we got together and split halvsies. I am also lucky enough to have a DH who supports me in in all my endeavors.
Happy birthday! Betty's choice is cute. I'll try that and I like the name of your new quilt. Lazy Sunday! I've been trying to get some sewing time in on the weekends. Will check into a subscription.
Wow, great looking mag. i am definitely going to get a subscription. Thanks for the opportunity on a super giveaway. My luckiest moment was when my daughter was born on MY birthday, 22 years ago. have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday Bonnie.....
I cannot wait until I get my March issue so I can begin the mystery. I like the IRELAND blocks too! I hope you will be using the green string blocks soon...???
My lucky surprise? While teaching at the university in CA I went out to get something out of my car and IT HAD BEEN STOLEN. As it turned out my husband had TAKEN ITHE CAR and surprised me with FOUR NEW TIRES. I nearly had a heart attack - but after the panic subsided.....I was happy about the tires. It took awhile for the panic to subside........ :)
Thanks for everything that you do to make our lives exciting!

Agree with Mary Ellen that I'm very lucky to be a quilter; lucky that Bonnie came to our guild meeting (Raleigh) and she lives in NC; lucky to discover how much I love to quilt and it brings balance to my work life. Lucky if I win this based on the number of comments.
Thanks for the giveaway and encouraging quilters to use up their scraps in all ways.
I was recently lucky to win some Aurifil thread, and just love it.
First let me wish you a Happy Birthday! I am looking forward to your new mystery in Quiltmaker. Have finished up your Winston Ways and Star Struck (which I call Shirt off your back) since I used many shirts from your tutorial. Thanks for a chance to win!
Happy Birthday Bonnie. I feel so lucky to have taken one of your classes. Have finished Winston Ways and am now finishing Star Struck (aka Shirt Off Your Back). Thanks for a chance to win.
Oh Bonnie, you are always so giving and inspiring! In fact all of us at the Bonnie club decided we LOVE the way you did your flying geese in Easy Street and it is now are favorite method of making them. I'll never go back! Luck? Well now and then I think about all the small things where I feel lucky - but nothing too exciting to write about. So I had to give this some serious thought. I guess the biggest thing where I was lucky was when I was in grade school. I was getting off the bus to go into the school and a large dump truck didn't stop in time and swerved off onto the shoulder where I was walking. It nearly missed me but crashed into the church sign and side of the church. Of course as a kid I thought it was all very exciting because I was in the paper! As an adult it sends shivers up my spine!
Happy Birthday bit early. Hope you have a great day and a wonderful year.
I have not done a mystery quilt, but Lazy Sunday is tempting me.
Thanks for the chance to win.
So glad I have a subscription (because of your ongoing blocks/'column!)
Thanks for chance
Bonnie - Have a great birthday!!! My luckiest moment was when I met the man on my dreams. We were both in college and working part-time at Marshall Fields. We have been married for 40 years. I couldn't have asked for a better husband and best friend! I plan to keep him for a long, long time.
I got lucky when I read about this give-a-way and came here to comment. LOL! Happy birthday Bonnie! My birthday is one month later..so..if I am real lucky, I will win the drawing. LOL!
Happy Birthday Week! One time I went to a seminar with a huge audience -- 500 or moore. They were drawing for door prizes and when they started talking about one of them I said "that's cool, I'd like that one". Low and behold they called my number! I won a peanut butter maker! The kids and I used it to death. Warm, fresh peanut or almond or cashew butter on crackers. Mmmm. Thanks for the opportunity.
Never one to win anything, imagine my surprise when my phone rang after our last Jingle Bell Shop Hop and I was informed I won a basket from one of the twelve shops! Me? Thank you. Well, about an hour later my phone rang again and I was informed I won another basket from a second shop! Talk about luck. Better yet, the second shop was quite a distance away but the shop owners were meeting the next day at a LQS to brainstorm on the next hop, so the owner brought my basket there and I was fortunate enough to drop by to pick up my baskets while they were still meeting. It was nice to thank them personally. Luck x3!
I am so lucky I married my husband.... He calls me LUCKY! I have won several things quilt related :) it always MAKES MY DAY!! I once won a flat screen TV!! I felt really Lucky that day, that is the biggest prize I have ever won. Hope you have a wonderful day on Wednesday. Happy Birthday!! Is your quilt cam on consistently on certain days of the week? I have only been able to catch you once and I so enjoyed it. Thanks for a chance to win. I love everything Quiltville! Janita
I feel very lucky I was able to come back to this cold State of MN to spend time with my elderly mother and ailing sister before they went to Heaven.
I was born here and took my family to the West Coast 30 + years ago, then about 5 years ago I came back 'home'. I feel very lucky to have had the oppertunity to spend time with my sister and Mom.
And I am also very lucky to still be able AND independent enough to drive twice a year to visit my kids, grandkids and great grandkids in WA State. I treasure the travel times across country by myself. Lots of time to plan the next sewing projects.
Happy Birthday!!

I was lucky recently when I won the Fat Quarter Shop's new book on a blog that I follow. My luckiest win was meeting my Irish husband & having 5 wonderful children with him. Your quilt in Quiltmaker looks like a fun to make. Heaven knows I have plenty of scraps to dig into to make it.Thanks for the great giveaway.
My luckiest day was when I found your blog and quiltville chat. I'm now addicted to scrappy quilts and have 3 of yours in progress. I'm nearly done with Easy Street (on Step 7). Love your column in Quiltmaker and look forward to the mystery.

I've been lucky a few times, but the one that jumps out at me was when flying home from my honeymoon. The trip from NY to Hawaii was incredibly long, delayed, and resulted in missed connections and a free night at a unplanned hotel.
The flight back from Hawaii to NY involved circling Newark so long we had to stop in Cleveland to refuel. (Mind boggling, isn't it?) We thought for sure we missed our commuter connection back home, which would mean another unplanned overnight. Not budget or job friendly. We skipped the service counter, and my husband got on the phone to reschedule. I was irritating him, so I left to watch the monitors. I FOUND OUR FLIGHT! Because of the huge delays it hadn't left yet! Mad dash across 3 terminals, and we made it with time to spare.
pretty color choices!
Can't wait to see the mystery quilt. Hope you have a great Birthday.
Love your scrappy quilots
Happy Birthday Bonnie from one Aquarian to another. My birthday is this week too. Hope you have a great day. Looking forward to my new issue of Quiltmaker which has always been my very favorite quilt magazine. It is never hard to renew. Thanks. Daisy
I am lucky - my first grandbaby is due on March 17th!!!
Oh goodness we are a day apart, I celebrate 60 years on Tuesday the 22nd. Would love to be the winner of that lovely charm pack.
Happy birthday, Bonnie, hope your day is filled with joy.
I am lucky when my blocks come out to the right size without too much fussing LOL
Hope you have the best birthday ever! I feel lucky everyday to be married to my husband. He fully supports my addiction to fabric. I just got home from dropping EZ and JT2 off at the LA quilter's house. I looked apologetic and told him how many $$ it was going to cost. He asked me if I was unhappy about the charge? I said, no, but I do feel guilty. The DH asked why if I'm doing something that gives me so much joy? He's a keeper. BTW he's great with a seam ripper too!
Very cool! I may have to break down and break a New Year's resolution not to subscribe to any new magazines! Happy Birthday! You share a birthday with my Dad - he would have been 85 yesterday!
My most lucky day was when I met my wonderful husband 20 yrs. ago. Mary Chapin Carpenter's song , " I Feel Lucky " was very popular on Country Music stations and that's what is engraved in our wedding rings.
My luckiest moment was meeting my wonderful husband on a blind date 20 yrs. ago! Mary Chapin Carpenter's song , " I Feel Lucky " was popular on country music stations at that time and that is what's engraved inside our wedding bands. After 20 years I still feel really lucky!
Happy Birthday, Bonnie!
First, I am lucky to share my birthday with such a talented quilter - my birthday is january 23rd, too! Second, I am luck to have 3 great kids, 1 in Oregon, 1 in England, and 1 near me. Luckiest day, though, was when I made it to my fifth anniversary as a breast cancer survivor (6 ears now), and hopefully have many more years to enjoy your great scrappy patterns (LOVE my scrappy trip around the world!)
Susan (formerly from Winston-Salem, now in PA)
My hubby's been in the hospital for the past week and now it looks like he's going to need heart surgery. I could use some luck! The good kind that is!
Oh my goodness, drool drool, what an issue full of great inspiration...Happy happy birthday for Wednesday, hope you have a fabrictabulous day full of everything that makes you happy.
Luck is having time and energy to sew everyday- Love Scrappy quilts and yours are the best!
Happy Birthday! I'm lucky to have time (well, some days!) to quilt, knit, or embroidery.
I will be watching my LQS for the next few issues of Quiltmaker for sure, I really like Betty's Choice, looks like a fun block to make, also love the colours you've chosen for the Lazy Sunday Mystery.
I've had a few things happen to me that were pretty lucky, I won a fat quarter pack one winter and also won a big bundle of flannel squares, I have been thinking maybe I should start buying lottery tickets, maybe I'll have better luck than DH is having winning the lottery.
Thanks for the opportunity to win the incredible prizes, and I hope you have a great birthday on Wednesday!!
Happy (almost) Birthday! My 'lucky' was that I'd been wanting a hand crank sewing machine, and, a nice lady from Madison had heard that I wanted one, and she contacted me about a Singer Spartan (with a motor) that I could have for free, and that it could be easily converted into a hand crank. All I had to do was to drive up and get it (I was headed thru 3 weeks later). You've seen my lovely hand crank in action. I'm still lucky to have that great machine. It's still my favorite (I have more hand cranks now). Thanks for the chance and enjoy your Birthday dinner.
I am lucky that my friend emailed me about this opportunity to win a prize and subscribe to Quiltmaker to do the next mystery.
have a great day,
Linda
The magazine looks terrific, Victoria's quilt is stunning. I really shouldn't plan on another mystery, since I printed all of the Easy Street instructions but have yet to start! But it looks like it uses some of the same colors, so that is a win win right there, just have to burrow through the stash once. Hope you do get a dinner out & have a Happy Birthday!
Best wishes for a very Happy Birthday!!! We just built a new home and I'm extremely lucky to have a very large room for my quilting and paper crafting hobbies (of course I still have to unpack and organize so I can start using it!) Thanks for the sweet giveaway!
I was wonderfully LUCKY in 2003 to have a dream trip to Ireland! After a battle with breast cancer all of 2002, my husband blessed me with the trip of a lifetime. We stayed in the best B&B in Cobh, visited the Titanic museum there, the Colman Cathedral(where I photographed the mosiac tile floors for future quilts)& many more beautiful & memorable sites, such as Blarney Castle. After kissing the Blarney Stone, we've never stopped sharing the wonders of the Emerald Isle! It doesn't disappoint....get there any way you can! P.S. I am now 9 years OUT! PRAISES ^^^^^ Bonnie C. in GEORGIA
I was lucky enough to win a jet ski about 5 years ago. My husband and I had stopped at a casino and they happened to have a jet ski giveaway going that night. I told my hubby I was feeling lucky and knew I was going to win. We signed up for their players club and were given a ticket into the drawing and sure enough, my name was drawn. I took the $ payout that they offered and used it to partially pay for a surgical proceedure I desperately needed.=)
Thanks for the opportunity to win!
Quilting life is wonderful, isn't it? No matter where you travel you can always find great quilters. Keep us the good work.
I'm lucky to have the wonderful husband that I do. He does all of my cutting for me. He likes to work on old sewing machines, so we have several. And for real luck, last week he bought me a featherweight that we found on an online garage sale. He also likes to sew. Thanks for the giveaway and all of you help and inspiration.
Happy Birthday Bonnie!! The luckiest thing that ever happened to me was finding your website and blog a number of years ago! I have learned so much from you. Thank You! reb@alaska.net
I met my husband on March 15th and our first date was on St. Patrick's Day. We were married on St. Patrick's Day 3 years later by an Irish judge that gave us a lovely Irish blessing. Neither of us are Irish but the blessing worked as we are still blissfully happy 34 years later! Gail
