iPhone-o-Gram! Rainy Day Out!

It's a rainy, miserable, dreary day in North Carolina!

The perfect kind of day for wandering through antique malls!

I found the most fun humongous stringy flying geese quilt ever!

And yes – it's coming home :-)

What a great "Bonnie Type" quilt. The scrappy geese almost look like they are moving... Good catch, Bonnie.

That quilt screams southern to me! Love that type. 30s/40s?!??
So glad it was priced so that you could bring it home. Its a very neat one, love the Baptist fan. I want to do one, im so afraid of not starting in the middle of a quilt though...

This is awesome! what a great idea for a stringy quilt I would make one like this for sure!!

took another look, It looks like the geese are in flight the way the strings are showing movement!

Well, we would like a lot to have a rainy day here, in Porto Alegre, Brasil! It's so hot outside(and inside where there's no air conditionair) that we don't want to do anything, just stay imobilized ! 30 celsius at 8 am is terrible. Now is 29 celsius at 10 pm. I have 3 air conditionairs working here, just to stay seated.... If youy don't belive in global warming, you are invited to come here(well, if you believe you are invited to)!
Hugs
Carla

Wow such a great quilt. I'd love to know how big the geese are. I just love how they are made of strings.
