iPhone-o-Gram! Ikea Shoping!

I am a woman on a mission!

I need two bookcases – one for either side of the fireplace in my studio.

I need a new computer desk chair.

I also need a comfy sewing chair.

And while I'm at it – I need a cozy comfy Big chair with reclining capabilities for putting my feet up and stitching bindings!

Preferably leather – this would help greatly to keep the excessive cat shedding at bay!

I think I have found all of the above!

Deck the halls and deck the studio – this furniture is coming home!

Isn't it great when you can check off so many "to do" or "need to get" items in one stop? Good job!

I've been watching you remodel some of your quilting space - so happy for you to have a fresh feel to it all.

And while you're there, would you pick up me one of those neat lamps ? I can't quite decide which one is the one I want -- like you have on your sewing machine !

I'm with you, Bonnie!! I do love IKEA!! But the nearest one to me is in Atlanta. Make a beeline there when I visit my children in Tampa - but then can only buy really small items that will fit in a suitcase!!

I was wondering how she's going to get all of that in Shamu!? Lol! It all looks wonderful!

Great minds think alike! I recently made a trip to IKEA for a comfy chair for sewing in my workroom. It needed it to match my 'Bonnie' curtains. Thanks for the Mystery Quilt - it is my first, and I am having a great time. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

I would worry about animal toenails cutting leather. And I would have to sit on a quilt. My comfy sewing chair is a Horn...loved it so much I bought two!!

Another problem with leather chairs is that you can't stick pins in the arms. The one I have in the studio is cloth and looks ragged but it is comfortable, reclines, and I can use the arms for pincushions. In the house I sit on nice, soft leather. ;-)

How in the world did you get that all home with you? Did I miss that part? Looks like some really great finds there. Merry Christmas!!!

Yay! Bonnie! Merry Christmas to you. I just got my furniture back from my upholstery guy. Sofa, Loveseat & chair. I'm so pleased. Merry Christmas to me!

Merry Christmas to you Bonnie!! Wonderful finds. Will look forward to you showing us how it all looks. See you on QuiltCam tonight. Wish I was closer, I'd put your bookshelves together for you -- I love putting things together.

I meant when they jump on and off the furniture. Mine do not claw furniture either. The shedding hair is always there it seems.
Just reminded myself...once had a water bed...and six cats at that time...back toenails from the kitties were an unhappy issue. The bed did not last too long.

Love the shelves and chairs but did I miss the desk? Had an IKEA near us when we lived in Pittsburgh but not one here in Northern Michigan ... might have to research and schedule a ROAD TRIP!! Just hook a U-Haul on the back before I leave home ..... LOL

The only question I have is about the sewing chair. How do you manage with the arms?

So jealous! I can't wait to go back to Atlanta so I can make an Ikea run too! I think that is the closest one to Panama City.
