Hi Bonnie,I think Eris could prove to be quite the experienced ‘Quilt Inspector!’
here's my kitty Eris, preventing me from quilting :D
Hugs,
Tineke
He’s certainly got an eye for it….even if they are half closed and he’s sleeping on the job! ((Is it a he? or a she? I don’t know from the name because it isn’t a popular name where I live!))
He’s also very adept at helping Tineke Free-Motion machine quilt!
Eris, closely inspecting Tineke’s stitches!
There are only about 10 Moth in the Window blocks waiting to be finished – and I can start putting this quilt together.
I know it seems like it has been dragging, but it’s mostly been a Quilt-Cam project and I’m happy to say that even working on it just while on Quilt Cam has helped to keep me focused on it and it is that much closer to being done! I’d like to have this into a top before New Year’s hits – so guess what I’m working on again today?
You guessed it! Moth in the Window blocks!
Let's Sew!

Hello Bonnie,
Did mean to give you a scare. The malware was from a Badge for a swap. It was removed, I am safe now. Thanks to my fellow podcaster who found the cause.
hello Bonnie - I am hand piecing as I watch quilt cam tonight.

Hi Bonnie and quilters from Europe.
Finished step 3 last night and am now sewing my granddaughter's stuffed dog that was eviscerated by a real dog. It was a tragedy. But he can be restuffed.
I
Finishing up by Easy street 4 patches and geese. Thanks to your beautiful Singer treadle, I am now on the hunt for one.
Sorry ... not sure if it's me or not ... I'll reboot computer ... but BAD lagtime between video and audio this afternoon. Shutting down now and trying it again. Just in case others are having similar problems! Linda
Hello Bonnie. Nice to see you in your sewing room. Is it always so tidy? Sølvi in Norway
Hey, Bonnie! I'm so excited for the third day running of quilt cam. Thank you so much for sharing your sewing time with us. I'm hoping to finish sewing the second sky section on my flying geese during quilt cam today. I'm finding it really hard to keep up with the mystery, but I'm having so much fun with it! I can't wait to see what we make.
I'm wondering if it's bad to use cotton blends in a quilt. I was given a few shirts that are not 100% cotton, and I'm not sure what would happen if I tried to quilt with them. The rest of my fabric is 100% cotton.

Hello Bonnie,
It is snowing here in Iowa. Just finished the last blocks of the 3rd clue of the mystery. Will probably do some organizing this afternoon. Having a little difficulty with the feed today on quilt cam. Looking forward to the link-up tomorrow. Always nice to have someone to 'talk' to when I am working.
Yep. I had to totally shut down and start over. Still not getting the feed, except hit and miss, on quilt cam page or ustream page. Will wait to see if it straightens up...
Quilting a Story Time Quilt!
Hi Bonnie, from wintry Central Alberta...Love the Quilting Kitty. My ol' guy, Diesel (11) also loves to sit on the portion of the quilt that's not under the needle...while I am trying to free-motion. Pookie (6 months) tries to chase the needle. No time for photos as I try to keep her from getting it through her paw!
Hmmm now ustream page says "off air".
Hi Bonnie,
I am joining from Trondheim, Norway. I am working on Easy Street and just completed part 1 and 2. Started to cut pieces for part 3 tonight.
I am glad you liked the pictures of the vintage sewing machine I spotted in my local thrift store.
Today I also basted a twin sized quilt for my son in college, and will quilt it tomorrow.
Bonnie - everything is in-sync for me! and your kitties are TOOOOOO cuteeeeeeee!!!!!
Hey Girlfriend.... working on Step 3.... I love the turquoise and purple together.... great way to spend a cold, rainy Pennsylvania day
Huggers!
Okay--all set! Yay!
still trying! reboot did not help with feed...
Finished Clue 2 last night during quiltcam so Im cutting out Clue 3 right now as Im watching you on my phone. Im falling in love with the colors....yes....Im using your color suggestions. My youngest daughter has already claimed the Easy Street quilt as her own.
Of cause we will link up tomorrow. Linking and seeing all the other participants of easy street is the fun part of it
Just returned from the gym and having lunch and now I'm watching you. Can't ask for a better Sunday than this. The video and sound are in perfect synch here - this is the best I've seen!
I have some moth in the window blocks to work on and I'm also tryig to come up with a different scrappy log cabin design. Love working along with you.
Lag was terrible on my MacBook Air but its fine on my iPad. Also kept getting the ustream ad feed rather than yours on the laptop.
Hi Bonnie from sunny warm Florida, 81 degrees, last night's quilt cam I finished another 65 blocks for Mr Grey Bowtie, total of 265 done so far, today I am going to cut more grey backgrounds, then I need to ....**gulp** clean up my sewing room some, no door frames to smash my fingers in, I hope I think it was Alice, her finger feels better today.
Love the quilt draped over the frame. Is this one yours?
My feed started slow but seemed to fix itself. You are looking and sounding superb!
Raining here in Indiana...still working on the own quilt...almost done.
XOXO Subee
maybe the blue block was a green that changed
Hi Bonnie
Great to join you again for some sewing. I've never made a mystery quilt before but have decided to take the plunge with EASY STREET, I'm waiting for some grey to arrive so this evening I'm cutting strips for the flying geese, have never made these before so this should be fun!
Big hugs from Gisele, in Jersey, UK
Love it when you com on this time of day :) Not much sewing here tonight - it's "grading season" as the schoolterm comes to an end. But, I just have to have a break, and love to follow you on quilt cam! Anita, Vennesla in Norway
Hi Bonnie,it's audio & video here Ga
Hi Bonnie, also watching from South Dakota but here in the southwestern corner of the state it is sunny but only 17 degrees. I have elk and venison chili cooking on the woodstove. I am working on part 3 of Easy Street and enjoying quilt cam. I deboned by first shirts this morning. Fun
Tried 2 different browsers rebooted on my end. Still laggy.
Still working on my 4th border for my applique papercuts quilt. Will be starting Easy Street soon. I made my self promise not to start Easy Street until my applique is done.

Having my lunch with QUiltCam and looking forward to hand quilting when I'm done eating :)
So excited to hear that there is another Leader/Ender book coming! My leader/enders often take over my quilting time...they are so fun!
Laura from Delaware, Hi, haven't been able to watch many other quilt cams but lucked into today. What a great way to take old fashion quilting bees into the 21 century!
Hi from Kentucky! I almost forgot Quilt Cam! I've been busy "adorning" a Christmas sweater for an ugly sweater contest at work. It's so tacky now that it just might win! Enjoying watching you sew while I take a break.
Have a couple of pile of "matchsticks" paired up and ready to run through the machine. Your were right on it working up quickly! Should have it together in a couple of days. Snipping the outer edge of my, hopefully, last rag quilt for Hurricane Sandy relief! Three of those in a month is a bit much! So, time to snip, snip, snip!
Hi Bonnie! KC1930 from HGTV boards here. Machine quilting a Strip Twist quilt for my mother for Christmas done in rose and greens.
Do you think you can give us a hint as to what colors we will be using next on the Easy Street quilt? I have all three steps done and would like to get the fabrics all ironed and primed to cut!
Thanks for spending Sunday afternoon with us!
Kathleen in Maine
Missed most of the sharpener comments... Ad came on. Not complaining. Got your thumbs up comment
Sharpener is also available for Grace Frame Company for a bit more! Love mine-was a Christmas goodie from last year!
Feed is erratic today. I have rebooted twice - no help. Also - went off air twice since starting. Right now I have audio, but video is frozen.
Hey Bonnie,
This is my first ever mystery with you (& so far I'm glad cause your others always looked so labor-intensive! HA). Just wondering if you ever said how many steps to this one or maybe you don't tell. Just curious...
Thanks! Sherrill
I lost my voice so I'm home to see Quiltcam while DH is at Church. I hear Bing Crosby on your playlist today. I have him and Donny Osmond singing for me today too. Cutting #3 Parts for Easy Street.
Hello Bonnie :) Susan here in Hickory NC! You just gave me a good laugh! LOL! You said you had your hubby try out the new rotart sharpner because you was leary of it. I do the samething and use my hubby as a "tester" to and see if he fairs well first ;) Love quilt cam!!
Hi Bonnie
I'm through!!!
Yay!!
It's 5.35am here in Brisbane Australia - hot hot hot here - you wake up sweaty lol.
Btw - I tuned in when my fave Chrissie Carol came on.
I am sewing selvedge Christmas Trees for Christmas cards.
Kate
feed is good now...switched to chrome.
The feed is great here! I love the quilt behind you. :)

Just ordered mine on Amazon...prime (no shipping charges)
Hey Bonnie feed is great for me and today I can even hear the music thank you for quilt cam
Bonnie, I got to quiltcam a little late, but my feed is fine from the get go, no problems here.

Hello Bonnie,
Good to see you again. I just bought some of my fabrics today for Easy Street but I'm not happy with two of them, one is that I think the fabric is off grain as it didn't press right. The other is the colour.....hmm, think I will need to rethink that fabric as it's in place of your grey in your selection.
I finished up 3 pieced blocks for another quilt top which is a partworks magazine series that all the fabric is provided with the issues and one makes the blocks week by week.
Lisa from South Africa
No lag here in dreary Iowa!! Love watching you sew on a vintage machine. Working on my mug rug for gifts for co-workers!
Feed fine! Watching on a roku!!!
Feed Better. Just ordered 2 sharpeners from Amazon. One for sister for xmas. Amazon best price with free shipping.

Hi Bonnie, hope you're having a great weekend. Just put my finished Roll, Roll Cotton Boll on the bed. It looks fantastic, I finished putting the binding on it and Tobacco Road the other day. I hope to get working on part 3 of Easy Street today, but cleaning is a necessary thing, so it may be tomorrow. Why does it seem laundry and dirty dishes multiply when I'm not looking? Marianne in Central Florida.
Hi Bonnie,
Several thousand miles NW of you and the feed is fine up here. :-) Busy hemming the binding on the "AvoCATo" Veggie Cat hanging for my daughter for Christmas. So cute, if I may say so m'self. I sharpen my blades with a manual rotary sharpener -- works a treat!
you make me laugh.... Danger Will Robinson.... stay away from Craig's List...
My fav Christmas song is Little Drummer Boy.
Takes me back to Jr High...I was second chair violin. My Mom would come to the Christmas concerts. How did she do it with 8 children and working 2 jobs and divorced?
Do you keep you leader/ender squares on a specific container?
AJ
Is this where we put comments for you to read off on QuiltCam? I hope so. I love the sound of your sewing machine! It reminds me of my mom's old Kenmore, which I used to listen to as I was falling asleep as a child... she was set up in the bedroom next to mine and she'd sew after my sister and I went to bed. Such a comforting sound!
I'm working on a quilt made from shirts right now, it's a memory quilt for a client whose father-in-law died recently... this is a gift for her husband. I love making quilts like this. :) Thanks for letting us sew along with you!
Morning Bonnie! It's 6am in Queensland and I just woke up. I'm putting my Orange Crush blocks together this morning and should get the top finished by the time I have to make lunches for school.
I don't think it qualifies as a leader ender but you could still add it and call it the almost leader ender project ;)
Hi Bonnie,
I watch QuiltCam any chance I get. Thank you for the quilting inspiration. QuiltCam feed tends to get better with patience. I've found it may be rough to start, but if I wait it out, the feed syncs. Since audio comes through fine, I just wait it out.
Carla in CA
Love that quilt you have on the long arm! Prety colors.
Can't wait to see where the Moth in the Window pattern comes out of! Hope its your book, I can't buy the magazine each month and LOVE your books. Enjoying the show as I make heart blocks for a forum friend on About.com.

I bet Amazon wonders why all of a sudden there is such a run on the Blade Sharpeners. I ordered 2 one for me and one for a gift. It would be interesting to know how many were ordered from your recommendation today on Quilt Cam.

Can you explain leaders and enders?
Bonnie, sorry I missed the 1st of your quilt cam and would like to know which sharpner you are discussing. I am doing the Easy Street and love it.
Donna in Oklahoma. I'm enjoying the mystery quilt. This is the first mystery I have ever done. Thanks so much for the instruction on the easy angle and companion angle rulers. I have always liked the unit we are doing for part 3, but it always looked so complicated. Thanks to your instructions they are going together great.
Hello from snowy Sweden. Feed is perfect. Have you on the table next to my sewing machine. Cutting out triangles for easy street part 3. Haven't got the easy angle ruler yet but it in the post! But managed to find how to place my ruler to get the right sizes anyway. Thank you for all the helpful tips.
Is your Christmas Tree up YET? Just wondering if you are as behind as me... Thanks for the extra tips in the Easy Street instructions.
Sewing w kathy, barb and soon Becky...we are all doing your mystery! Today I am also working on Tobacco Road. Fabulous spending our Az afternoon w you!

Enjoying your company and Easy Street Part 3. I need to get my leaders and enders projects organized and in process. I hope to take a class with you this February in Atlanta area! Im trying to stay super busy as well as organized, but those two things don't seem compatible :-)
Bonnie,
I have all the easy street directions printed and am ironing the FQ's I picked up to add to what I have (not a big stash here). Plan on starting to cut and sew a bit later. Love the colors you have picked out for it so decided to go with that :) Thanks so much for hosting this mystery for all of us!
Mallorie from Peru, Indiana
Hi Bonnie, from Judy in Indiana. I have just tuned in and am listening to you as I finish dishes. I just wanted to say thanks for showing us how to use the companion and easy angle rulers. I love them! I have finished step 3 of the mystery quilt so I am working on my Tulip Fields this week.
I'm joining you late cause I needed to watch my team. But they're losing big time, so I thought I'd have a lot more fun sewing my hexies while watching you!

Hi Bonnie - this is Paula in Omaha. Cold, blustery and windy but no snow yet. Going to start sewing together my zillion bow ties this week. Did you put yours together completely random, or did you group the colors at all. I am thinking about putting 4 blues together, then 4 greens and to lay them out semi-organzied so the colors move from one to another. What do you think? thanks for your opinion.
Do you EVER procrastinate? And if you do, what do you do to overcome it? I am sitting here procrastinating about an exchange project for Wednesday, yes three days from now. Egad!
I turned my pandora on they have Christmas and classical Christmas, I choose reg Christmas and it is playing Mariah Carey and more current songs, more upbeat. Try switching yours to reg Christmas
Don't have a project going, so since quilt cam started I've deboned six shirts. Thanks for getting me motivated.
I am amazed of how much I get done on my hand piecing project while watching you :-) The feed is not very good tonight - but I am just ignoring the jumps and leaps - the sound is ok though:-) Hanne in Norway
Hi Bonnie! Thanks again for sharing time with us!!! Just wondering if anyone else is having trouble accessing your blog lately. It takes forever to load for me from a regular webpage, google reader, and even e-reader. I'm not having this problem with any if the other blogs I follow and it's not just on quilt cam days. Quiltville is so popular, I know, but why is it taking so long to open to full page?
Hi Bonnie - So loving the EZ angle ruler! Have been quilting for 30 years and never loved a new ruler so much! Thanks for teaching all of these new techniques. Cutting step 3 of Easy Street.

Hi Bonnie,
This is Laura from Sugar Land, TX. Sounds like there are 2 of us from Sugar Land listening now! Two quick questions - how many cheddar bowties did you end up with and how did you set them? Quilt cam rocks! :-)
I came into my office to work on my quilting.... we've got a HUGE big table that is easier than anything I have at home for my large cutting & sewing tasks. Listening to you while I work...
Oh I LOVE Charlie Brown cartoons. My favorite was when Pig Pen had a bath.. he was so clean he shown like a star...then he came out on his front stoop and the dirt just leapt up on him, covering him completely.... I can totally relate.
I remember the 50th anniversary of the start of the cartoon... His first cartoon was October 21, 1950, Treasures all. Thanks for Quiltcam today! Becky G in Winston
Thanks - I must have missed it!
Have to tell you. One of the commercials that was on while you've been sewing here was for "Cheddar" - - - cheese of course, but they simply called it Cheddar! Made me laugh 'cause it couldn't have been more appropriate!
Heather, I have found that if I try to sign on right when Bonnie starts, it take forever. I always give up and come back after she's been on for awhile. I'm guessing when everyone is accessing her stream, it clogs up. Imagine... over 500 trying to log on!
Not sure why it would take so long after folks have already gotten on...
Bonnie I have been meaniing to ask, Have you ever asked a man for the shirt off his back??
Hi Bonnie, Lisa here again. Which size easy angle ruler did you use for step 2 of easy street?
Lisa in South africa
Greetings from Spokane Washington! I'm spending the day in my sewing room, so of course I had to tune in! I have my Christmas Town Sampler top to put together, then I will work on Clue 3 of Easy Street. Lovin' the colors in the quilt and enjoying the process of making each step!
Mary
Do you wash the shirts that you get from goodwill before cutting?
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Hi from Joyce in Maryland. Points and triangles did not like me before you showed me how to use the angle rulers. I just finished week 3 of the mystery quilt and the triangles were perfect and the points perfect also. I love quilt cam and have learned so much. Thank you.
Step 3 finished.... could step 4 involve the green?????
Hi, Bonnie: You asked what does Santa bring nowadays. You're right, the kids today get a lot of electronic toys. Yesterday, at a work Christmas party, my 18-month old granddaughter got a "cell phone" that has a keyboard and games good for 18 mos and up! I'm a traditional gramma and make sure they get the toys I enjoyed - she's getting a baby doll and my 4-yr-old grandson is getting Lego. No batteries in this house!
Wasn't Fur Elise Schroeder's favourite Christmas music in the Charlie Brown Christmas? :-)
Sheila for Winston Salem. I enjoyed sewing along with you today : )
Oops. I meant from WS.
Love the kitty in the blog picture! I just switched over to Pandora on my roku after quiltcam was over. They have about a dozen Christmas channels. I turned on rockin'Christmas. Got the drifters white Christmas which i love! Gotta get ready for work and fly out of here.
I am SUCH a procrastinator ... if you have an answer for how to overcome PLEASE share with me. I make resolution after resolution yet STILL procrastinate!
